Considering it was the Ms. Universe pageant the weight issue was not exactly irrelevant. I mean it's a sexist pageant, folks, and I'm guessing several to nearly all of us have been consumers. However I'm surprised the comment about "Miss Housekeeper" isnt getting more attention. That's an outright racist insult.

Actually they couldn't find an issue of Trump magazine, so he held up some brochure for one of his hotels and said "look this is Trump magazine it's great".  That's how little he thinks of his supporters.  Not only was he not holding an issue of Trump Magazine when he was saying look at this issue of Trump magazine, he wasn't even holding a MAGAZINE.  He may as well have been holding a burrito.

I believe this was the same interview where, forgive me because I don't remember the specifics, he said something like "I own 100% of that company.  I'm not a part owner or just licensing my name or anything, I own 100% of it myself, go ahead, look it up, believe me".  And then when you go to the website for that company it very explicitly says that Trump has no ownership stake in the company and it is just licensing his name.
I think that was the ####ty winery in Virginia

The amount of stuff this guy lies about daily is great.

Yeah, the other 15,263 racist things he said seem to have gotten more attention.

All he had to do was go on "Fox And Friends" and say she was violating the pageant contract and that he had nothing to do with it and he was just trying to help save her from getting fired. He might have ended up coming across as the good guy! Instead, he calls her the worst contestant he's ever seen. Once again, he goes nuclear and blows up everything.

Ha, and it was totally predictable. All Hillary had to do was wind him up. That tweet storm last night was a genuine meltdown.

His brand is forever tarnished from this campaign. People knew he was a womanizer before, but that was the extent of it. He was regarded as a shrewd businessman and his brand was synonymous with luxury. Now everyone knows he's a childish, racist, small, sociopath piece of ####. How many people would have considered staying in a Trump property before but won't now, millions? And the licensing fees to use the Trump name have to be plummeting. That name is instantly going to turn people off from now on.
Yeah, but it will be balanced out by the 10 million new die hard supporters who will watch his new TV news network and line up to buy his crap and take his seminars.

This is the one right there.  This guy is going to take after the Clintons and charge huuuge $$$ for speaking fees.  He'll probably fill small arenas with at least a few thousand suckers at each event.

You know how some are saying Trump might get those "curtains are closed, #### it" votes? Here's a better "curtains are closed no one will know" idea. When the curtain closes, vote for Hillary. This is the only way your fantasies of a great Trump America will survive. If he wins it all goes away.

What's more, if Hillary wins you get to keep your fantasy alive for ever and ever. You can keep the attacks on her going all while gloating that if you had your way and Trump won this country would be great again. But noooooooooo. The stupid libs keep mucking it up.

This is the best way. You keep your egos and fantasies, the world keeps it's sanity. So when that curtain closes do what is best for you and the country. Vote for Hillary.

Eta: damnit. The middle got deleted there...

Eta2: grrrrr...  Stupid phone.
  Good post.

Think of the hearings about deleted emails or Benghazi plenty. Heck you can even talk about Bill getting a blowy, Whitewater, Vince Foster, real estate deals from the 70's. All gone for good if you vote Donald. You know deep down Hannity and Rush are voting Hillary.

They absolutely want Hillary to win, no question. Much easier to stoke the fires of false outrage and conspiracy with the devil herself in office.

Here is a list of the stories that broke yesterday about Trump before he went on an angry predawn twitter rant about Alicia Machado, courtesy of Toronto Star reporter Daniel Dale, who tweets out a list of the preposterous things that happen to/are done by Trump and his campaign every day:

  • Newsweek reported that Trump did business in Cuba in violation of the embargo
  • The LA Times reported that Trump wanted to fire women at his California golf club who "weren't pretty enough" and said a number of other degrading and misogynistic things to the female employees
  • The Washington Post reported that the Trump Foundation- which for years has been funded entirely by contributions from outside the Trump family- does not have the required authorization to solicit donations in New York
  • He continued to undermine the election process by complaining that the presidential debate was "rigged"
  • He said he was "very proud" of his work pushing birtherism
  • The thrice-married Trump, who publicly bragged about his infidelity and has been accused of sexual assault on a number of occasions and sexual harassment countless times, launched an attack on Hillary Clinton based on her husband's indiscretions
  • He lied about the following things (almost certainly an incomplete list): that Clinton tried to get Obama to produce his birth certificate, that his rally was attended by 25,000 people (total was 7,500), that he won every online poll about the debate winner, that foreign companies aren't making new investments in the US ($421 billion last year, a significant increase over the previous year), that as Sec of State Clinton granted favors to people who donated to the Clinton Foundation (zero evidence of this despite exhaustive searches)
One day.

In War and Peace Leo Tolstoy theorized that most prominent men have little to do with their prominence; they are more like surfers riding waves of success not of their own doing until they crashed (this is an anachronistic analogy that Tolstoy didn't use.)

He was referring to Napoleon in the novel. It's a theory I've never bought into, but watching Donald Trump I am reconsidering...

He has one of these about every 2 weeks or so. It's like when you pull up to a huge buffet starving and fill up up one plate of crap and can't eat anymore. There is too much.

People also just take it all for granted now. Of course he would say something stupid or his charity is a scam.

Republican primary voters must be so proud right now.
The ones I grew up with and went to law school with have no remorse and are as pro-Trump as ever.

At some point smart conservatives who are also good people like yourself have to wonder if it's worth it to remain in an extremely ugly party simply because you agree on taxes.

Did Crooked Hillary help disgusting (check out sex tape and past) Alicia M become a U.S. citizen so she could use her in the debate?

Checkers = calling a former Miss Universe "disgusting" and "the worst".

Chess = helping Miss Universe become a U.S. citizen five months before mentioning her in a debate, knowing in advance that it would cause Trump to melt down.

Forgot to mention on that list, and I don't see it mentioned in the thread: became the first presidential candidate in the 34 history of USA Today to compel an "endorsement" from the paper, in this case a negative one:

USA TODAY's Editorial Board: Trump is 'unfit for the presidency'

In the 34-year history of USA TODAY, the Editorial Board has never taken sides in the presidential race. Instead, we’ve expressed opinions about the major issues and haven’t presumed to tell our readers, who have a variety of priorities and values, which choice is best for them. Because every presidential race is different, we revisit our no-endorsement policy every four years. We’ve never seen reason to alter our approach. Until now.

This year, the choice isn’t between two capable major party nominees who happen to have significant ideological differences. This year, one of the candidates — Republican nominee Donald Trump — is, by unanimous consensus of the Editorial Board, unfit for the presidency.

From the day he declared his candidacy 15 months ago through this week’s first presidential debate, Trump has demonstrated repeatedly that he lacks the temperament, knowledge, steadiness and honesty that America needs from its presidents.

Whether through indifference or ignorance, Trump has betrayed fundamental commitments made by all presidents since the end of World War II . These commitments include unwavering support for NATO allies, steadfast opposition to Russian aggression, and the absolute certainty that the United States will make good on its debts. He has expressed troubling admiration for authoritarian leaders and scant regard for constitutional protections.

''Hey, there, Latinas, and women, and overweight people!  Undecided on our next president?  I feel ya, it's a big decision!  Check out this story. ''

And then just stepping aside and letting Donald continue to do your dirty work for you.  He is such an easy mark.

That's actually a sort of reverse endorsement. We've seen a million endorsements. I don't think I recall an editorial saying someone is 'unfit' for office all together.

I just had to check on this one. Reading that tweet it is literally crazy.

Here's a question for all the pro-Trump folks with daughters: How in the world can you look your daughter in the face and tell her you're voting for this man? With all the disgusting things he has said about women, that's the person you're telling your daughter should be President? If any man or person said those things about your daughter, I'd wager a large amount of money that you wouldn't let those things fly. So why is it okay to vote for someone for President who says those things? Because Hillary deleted some emails? Just think about the message you're sending to your daughter.

We've all seen epic meltdowns here, right?

Hillary could absolutely push Trump over the edge if this is any indication. I'm guessing they have some really high level psych profile in him. This could get ugly.

There's no doubt that Hillary has psychiatrists on her staff who have been giving her advice on how to deal with Trump.

Trump hires people from Brietbart and the National Enquirer. Hillary hires doctors. Checkers, chess.

I'm shocked Clinton screwed up with Machado. Totally blowing up in her face. Someone in her campaign really dropped the ball. She's usually too good for a mishap like this.

His wife is naked in lesbian pics.
Somebody needs to duplicate the Heidi Cruz tweet: Melania's naked lesbian pics on one side and a picture of Machado under the covers on the other side, with the caption "Paragon of virtue: a picture is worth a thousand words."

Next debate she starts mocking his wealth and handsize. He'll go WWF, jump off the podium.

@CBCAlerts

Trump goads ex-Miss Universe he slammed for weight gain over non-existent sex tape. 3 AM tweets say Clinton brought her to US to attack him.

Tweets were sent at 3:20 AM, 5:14 AM, 5:19 AM and 5:30 AM.  What. The.  ####.

I've known some sleazy characters in my day, and I can barely come up with a scenario where one of them would be publicly trashing women online at 3:30 AM-5:30 AM on a Thursday night/Friday morning.  Maybe the ones who had serious coke problems, when they were hitting rock bottom. But even they would usually have the wherewithal to air it out in private via email or messaging or something. I've been watching the guy closely for a year now and I can't come up with a plausible explanation for this.
Perhaps he has someone in Moscow handling his twitter account now.

President of South Africa questions President Trump's golf game..... Trump orders Johannesburg flattened.

Putin mocks Trump's hair... Trump orders a winter invasion of Russia.

heckler mocks Trump at inaguration... Trump orders his family executed on live tv.

the guy can't help but respond to every single comment. his ego is so incredibly fragile and he's so unstable. the guy isn't fit to be an adult much less leader of a country.

The early a.m. Tweets confirm what a power move this Machado move was.  Frankly, they could not have imagined it going this well.

That town hall format will kill him.  Someone will ask him a question a little dangerous, and it'll be over.

This isn't the same as a room full of Republicans.

No way. He could rip off his clothes and howl at the moon at this point and still get 40% of the vote.
