From that twitter feed, underneath a recent picture of a despondent Ted Cruz working the phones to raise campaign funds for Trump.

"Yes...that's right, ma'am. The #####, yes. You just grab 'em by the #####. It's a metaphor. For Freedom. I am going to kill myself soon."

"Amazing that reaffirming his support for executing innocent children was the second worst Trump moment today."

** Ken Burns Blasts Donald Trump Over Comments on Central Park Five: "The Height of Vulgarity"

There's no question that this election feels different from any other.

I believe, and I have said this before, that this candidacy and potential presidency represents the greatest threat to the United States since the Second World War. Period. And I don’t know a historian that disagrees with me. I would refer you to David McCullough’s statement, to William Leuchtenburg’s statement, our greatest American historians weighing in on the significance of this most unqualified person in the 216 years of contested contests for President of the United States. [The messages are collected at the Facebook page Historians on Donald Trump.] There have sometimes bitter divisions and bitter comments but no one has been so dissembling. No one has lied more frequently. No one presents a greater threat to the survival of our union than this candidate.

Have you thought at all about why Trump has done as well as he has?

I think the media. In the way that ratings breeds journalistic responsibility, never in the history of politics has one person received so much free media. Exponentially greater than the next person. Nobody had ever seen an election where we waited every single day with a little box in the corner of our TV sets focused on some tarmac or some set of American flags at some rally waiting, hoping for him to say something that will be good copy. He’s always good copy. He’s known this, as all good demagogues and dictators do. And so he has simply taken advantage of that.

What do you advise Americans do?

I think he has played to people’s worst fears and not their better angels. We’ve got to focus now on those better angels of our nature and focus on Nov. 8 and what we do to heal. Because I don’t believe that we want people to be this demonizing of the other. To make the person who disagrees with you politically somehow evil is the worse thing in the world. And that’s what this campaign is about: To mock Hillary’s illness; to denigrate a Gold Star family; to take on [the Central Park Five,] five defenseless minority kids and then to do so again 27 years later is just beyond the pale. It’s back to the McCarthy hearings. He has no shame. And let’s remember his mentor is Roy Cohn, who was the attorney to Joseph McCarthy — so maybe there at least one precedent, which is that the reptilian behavior of Joseph McCarthy has been fully realized in the campaign of Donald Trump.

As a Hillary supporter I would be willing right now to see Pence get elected if it meant Donald Trump being repudiated and humiliated.
Have you lost your marbles? Pence is the embodiment of the stuff you have been ranting against for years. And you want him to win? Against your golden girl? Because of Trump?

Sorry-o. Both Trump and Pence needs to disappear in ignominy

Thought this was a dream, but I woke up, turned on the TV and behold... a Presidential candidate did say such unbelievable things at women.
Is it Christmas already, because Donald is the gift that keeps on giving. Tell every man who defends Donald you want to "grab his wife by the...."

Just for the sake of argument, or fun because all the Trumpites took their ball(s) home long ago....

...We agreed as a nation some time ago that sexual misbehavior or even other misdemeanor type activity does not disqualify someone from being president, right? Didn't we establish that?
Sure. When it's consensual.

I'm sure Lying Ted and Boring Jeb are kicking themselves right now for not digging this stuff up during the primary. It was out there all along, just waiting to be found. But no one in the GOP took Trump seriously until it was too late.

I think we've all heard and even participated in our share of "locker room talk" (who's hottest et al), but I've never heard anything quite as egregious as this, locker room or no.
You've never heard a guy say something comparable to "grab them by the #####"?  Do live in the Little House on the Prairie.

The line is completely unpresidential, but I've heard comparable.  Some seedy older guy used to tell us that you need to "lift them by the labia."

Sure. When it's consensual.
Hitting on the young intern is consensual? Plus: Kathleen Willey. Plus: lawsuit for past sexual harassment while in office.
Consensual activity (Flowers, Lewinsky, Donna Rice, Marilyn Monroe, etc.) should not be an automatic disqualification.

Unwanted groping (as alleged by Kathleen Willey) is definitely disqualifying behavior, when it's proven.

But if you're going to argue that flirting with someone or hitting on them is non-consensual sexual misbehavior, then we may as well all go to our safe spaces and cover our ears so we don't hear any trigger words.

No, I've literally never heard anyone say anything like that.  I'm lucky to be surrounded by decent people I guess.

Having said that, if we were compiling a top 10 list of Reasons Why Trump Should Be Disqualified, ugly locker room talk wouldn't even come close to making the cut.  He has many, much worse properties.

Really you are a bankrupt person If u equate bill's cheating with Hillary.

You are a horrible person.

Hillary got mad at those who he cheated with?  Come on.  What woman doesn't.

Disgusting to make it seem like Hillary is complicit.

Screw you and ur phoney actions when you go to church.  Trumps base.  Disgusting.
"Deplorable" get it right geez....

I have never heard another guy brag to me about cheating on their wife/girlfriend with another married woman.  I've seen people do it.  But it takes a special type of creep to brag about it to someone they probably barely know.  Which i bet is the case with Billy Bush.  Ha.

Trump is filth.  If he was your father you'd be ashamed.  If he was your son you'd sit him down and try to explain to him this is not how a man acts.

Only thing left for Trump to do is to put on a white sheet and start dropping N-bombs.  He's done everything else.  That's not hyperbole.

I imagine the next tape will have some racial slur of some sort. Really wants to lock in his base.

I'm still going to say that banging the ~20 yo intern is not consensual, in any workplace anywhere. Not ok.

And Willey was known during the impeachment trial, we decided that was ok, as a country, precedent set.

On the last part I might have missed the bus. People are upset with Trump for just flirting? Doesn't sound like it.

This wouldn't change his voters opinions.

You have the cheater and the wife who got cheated on.  You can't just yell cheater over and over again and expect everyone to equate the two.

Hillary got cheated on.  Are we living in bizzaro world?  She got mad at the woman too.  Geez that is so unusual.   :loco:

I totally agree. I wasn't making a point about that.

Yeah not my point. There is no equivalency between Hillary and Trump.

I may have been misunderstood, sorry if that's the case.

Comparing Trump with Bill Clinton at this point is meaningless.  You might as well say Trump is a creep but so is A. Weiner.

Hillary is not the creep in these discussions.  Trump is.

Bill Clinton would be in a LOT more trouble for his stuff today than he was in 1995(?).

And he might not have gotten away with it even then if the way it was revealed wasn't so overtly partisan.  Republicans managed to turn him into a sympathetic figure.

I do agree that it says something very unflattering about our entire process that this, as bad as it is, is the straw that breaks the camel's back. Trump should have been laughed off into obscurity and humiliation the first time we heard him ramble on incoherently about his "policy" more than a year ago. Unfortunately there are a whole lot of really stupid people in this country.

At this point, I don't really care what kills his candidacy, just so long as it's killed.

Facebook temperature check.  One person saying, "Shouldn't this be the last straw for some of you?" with the response, "What are we supposed to do, just stay home?"  Yup.

ETA - One responder called Clinton and her platform "pure evil."     :lmao:

Trump voters love that democrats are going insane.  They are trolling the whole system.  Thing is without their trolling Clinton may have lost.

So I thank the trolls out there.

Fox and friends: this unfair! Only one sides transgressions are getting reported.

This chick in the red dress is hot. Trump would love her.

Oh, absolutely. But what scares me is the thought that next cycle, an actual competent politician, who actually wants to win, might decide to take the white Christian nativist playbook and run with it. If an idiot like Trump can come this close...

Dude, I have you on "ignore", but I checked this post b/c there were so few Trumpkins posting that I felt the need to read.

The next thirty days are going to be a nightmare for you Trumpkins.   Good luck with that.   Ultimately you'll probably isolate yourself from the general public and spend your pathetic existence seething that the election was stolen by illegal immigrants and electoral fraud.
:lmao:  Ok

No, Clinton just managed to convince his party to go to the mattresses for him.  The partisanship was mostly on that side of the aisle.  For a brief moment, Deomcrats decided that they were okay with sexual harassment if it meant keeping Gore out of the White House.  For some reason.
