And thank you for sharing, @krista4. I had a conversation with my wife this morning about your post, which led to questions about her experiences and a very good talk. I'm going to have a chat with my daughter, too. Some of women's main issues are hard to see because of the reasons you gave above, but I'm working very hard to raise my daughter to be able to deal with men and those situations. She's brilliant, thoughtful, kind, opinionated and impossible to repress, and I'm giving her the tools to make sure that no one can squash or corrupt these qualities. You may have irritated Rocklacktion, but you inspired a good moment for me. Thanks.

IT would be funny if he was the only one who thought or acted this way.  Hannity, Limbaugh, and other right wing nut jobs are all just as bad.  Free speech sometimes can be a really bad thing when people hear or watch these fools say these things.  Some inbred hillbilly somewhere is actually thinking that Obama, and Hillary are actually the devil.  Obama is coming to rape the white wimmens and take up our guns.

The fact that he thinks this whole consent thing is a dealbreaker kind of epitomizes the problem with people like Rush, Trump, and sadly probably a few million others.

WTF?  Yes...consent pretty much is the difference between rape and other things.  Pretty damn big key there Rush.

2.  It is nice that you have had girlfriends.  I have no doubt that you have been in proximity to upwards of dozens of women over the course of your life.  Congrats!

3.  You saw sexual harassment at a "top think tank"?  Otherwise known as a for-profit partisan policy shop? In Washington DC?  I'm shocked--shocked--to learn that gambling is going on here! 

4.  So you aren't questioning the veracity of her story, just the fact the she brought it up in the first place.  Just that a thread about a powerful businessman making unwanted sexual advances is no place to bring up personal experiences with powerful businessmen making unwanted sexual advances.  That it was somehow "hortatory" though she has nowhere mentioned what goal or action she's trying to exhort.  That immediately after a powerful business man is accused of making unwanted sexual advances is a poor time to mention that one has experience with powerful business men making unwanted sexual advances.   That K4's post is somehow more self-important than literally any other post on this board.  That even telling the story is an act of hubris, as though she were flying off to the sun on her wax wings.

Hubris is believing that your own opinion of the time and venue in which someone chooses to share such a story matters.  That there is right or wrong way in which to comport oneself when saying such a thing and that you are somehow the arbiter of that comportment.  Self-importance is reading someone's experience of sexual harassment, finding a reason to be offended by it, then voicing that opinion as though anybody should give a damn.

He quite literally is a text book narcissist.  I've worked for them.  It's not just a lack of self awareness.  It's worse. It is an active self awareness whereby he is the center of everything. Where he projects onto other people how they should feel, based upon his own needs, wants and perspective.  To Trump, there is no hypocrisy.  He IS right and they ARE wrong.  And everything must be viewed through that prism.

As a sociopath can't feel bad because they can't understand the feelings of another, that the pain and anguish simply don't exist, so too is Trump.  When he then decides to enter a self-reinforcing echo chamber by surrounding himself with a continually dwindling, continually more extreme group of sycophants and yes-men (even his women are men, that's how good they are.  Well, for a woman), he looses the opportunity for someone else to recognize the real truth and, if not move his opinion a little, which is unlikely, frame the situation in a manner whereby Trump concludes, on his own, that perhaps the best route is not the most vile.  

But here we are. And Trump, a narcissist to begin with, no longer has ANYone willing to stand up to him - and some I believe want to do the opposite and insight more of this insanity. The echo chamber gets smaller. The circle gets more extreme.  Trump gets more entrenched as he gets more seperated from former allies and, in the end, any sense of actual reality.
 

As Ivan noted before, it's hard to blame a guy who clearly has a psychological condition that, by nature, precludes him from seeing the ####### narcissist that he is.  But you jabronis out there that are still supporting this guy? What the hell is your excuse?

I can't watch the video at work, but evidently Newt just jumped ship on Fox Business today. Trump is too big a POS for Newt Gingrich to support. Newt. Gingrich. Let that sink in for just a minute.

I'm guessing that all of this sexual assault stuff isn't super likely to just fade away for Trump after he loses. Obviously most of it will have happened too long ago to prosecute, but he'll be in civil court at the very least I'd guess.

I heard they are ordering a giant steel cage from WWE for the final debate.  Should be good.  

Also, a lot of anger from Hillary supporters in here.  She's going to win barring a huge catastrophe, why so angry?

I heard (and just confirmed) that Trump's campaign used that map in a fundraising email to show that he had momentum.

You think Trump is gonna show up for the final debate?

I think he's maybe 50/50 at best.  He has a lot more to lose than to gain, and he's already sowing the seeds for bailing by trashing the bipartisan commission, complaining about his microphone, complaining about the last debate being 3 on 1, etc.

 
Hey rockaction, I've always kind of liked you even though I find your political views somewhat extreme (as you probably do mine, no doubt.) I'm mystified, honestly by your point here. Why are you critical of Krista's post? I thought she made some excellent points, and she spoke from experience (which frankly is needed in this forum because 99% of us seem to be men). You're not calling her a liar, you agree that this sort of stuff goes on, so what exactly is the nature of your complaint? I've read what you've written a few times and I don't get it.
