Lead his party to an ### kicking in midterm elections, ethics violations, shutting down the government, taking money to lobby or rather give "history lessons and advice" to whoever wants to pay him.
Sounds like a tough cookie.  Do you think he will deliver results because of his reputation?

Doubting Trump's decisions is also "par for the course".

We;ll see how this one works out.
I actually think he's a fine choice, just laughing at the difference between a trumps rhetoric and what he'll actually do.     It goes a long with putting a fence in some places instead of the BIG BEAUTIFUL WALL.

I don't see how he can possibly get away from at least trying to build the wall.  That was The central rallying cry that consolidated his support.

We may not get a wall or mass deportations, but we should see a revision to the tax code. Nothing should prevent it from going through, that legislation doesn't take anything but paperwork.

No one knows who we have in office. That was one of the major reasons for voting for Hillary. It appears that Kellyanne and others have gained some control - Trump tweeted about the unfair protests and then a few hours later tweeted about the passion of the protesters. I'm waiting for his reply to Megyn's claims that he tried to bribe her. It will be an entertaining 4 years. I hope you're right about his foreign policy.
Another thing he made a huge point in in his first speech was that he wanted to spend some money on infrastructure here.  That's something Dems have wanted time and time again, but Republicans always shoot down.  Again, this is something that liberals (really everyone) should be happy about.  We don't need to hate on Trump for the sake of it.  I'm just trying to find silver linings here.

Drain the swamp!

Hires head of RNC to run his office
Let's keep in mind here that we're not really rooting for the swamp to be drained.  Priebus is a better pick for Chief of Staff than some of the doofuses that have been put out there.  Not good, but not as bad as it could have been.

Steve Bannon on the other hand . . .

Hooray we've reached the point where all the losers who second guessed every move trump made to become the president. Are now going to second guess every move president trump makes while president.

We didn't listen to you then why would we listen to you now?

Where is Kellyanne Conway going to end up in the Trump WH? Trump would still be stuck in endless Twitter wars instead of the White House if not for her.

I have not seen her on any lists for WH jobs
If I were guessing I would say press secretary.
That would be a big step down from being the Campaign Manager.

And looking at the people that are up for cabinet positions, almost all are old white males.

......will fill page after page just waiting for the "told you so!". Or if something goes well it will be due to Obama. :lmao:

One thing that drives me nuts is the instant over the top nastiness that comes when someone says something negative. Disagree or have a complaint and the hardcore supporters get so aggressive. I have been pretty middle of the road over the last year. I don't like Trump. I don't like Hillary either. However, there are things I agree with both on. There are other posters here that are not blatant partisans either. Not every person is a libtard cuck or a racist white nationalist. We can disagree and debate without writing others off as brainwashed morons. Drop the insults and stick to the issues.

It comes with the job. He's president, not supreme ruler. No one has to bend knee and kiss a ring.

How about you and everyone else compliment Trumpbwgen he does something smart, criticize him when he does something wrong, and mock him when he does something stupid, just like every other president?

Sorry I disagree that everyone should mock people that make mistakes. It is rude and classless.

Oops, I guess I should have given you notice that I was about to disparage you so that you could retreat to your safe space?
No, this is a perfect example. Some one makes a mistake and you politely point it out to get it corrected. No need for mockery or derision. If everyone plays nice we can make america great again!

Telling Trump supporters this is America is quite amusing as we are the biggest patriots in this country. It is the anti trumpers that HATE America and want us to become like Germany
Uh Roj I was speaking of the principle of criticizing our leaders. I haven't heard of this issue from anyone else but LS. I certainly don't think he hates America.

He wasn't saying you couldn't criticize people, but he was giving his own perspective that he would never criticize anyone like a child would. You want to act like a child, that is your right for sure. He is quite aware this is America.

You didn't say criticism, you are walking it back now.

There is a difference between thoughtful discourse and intentional disparages no?
LS I have nothing but respect for you so let's not let this get out of hand. IMO mockery and satire is criticism. Voltaire is probably the highest level of thoughtful discourse and it's also full of disparagement. So are Socrates, Will Rogers and George Carlin and a good deal of discussion on this board and everyday legitimate political discussion. I have no idea if this is some fine ontological point, but I'm not talking about Trump wearing a funny tie or his hair or his use of terms like 'bigly,' where we laugh and point like a child. The man is the president now and he serves the people, not the other way around. He should be treated like every other president. My original point was that I will be fair to him, I would hope or think we can shake on that.

No problem nothing but respect. I come from a weird place I know it. I have not been involved in politics in a long time. I still have that respect the rank not the man attitude. I disagreed with some Obama policies but I never once thought he was trying to harm America intentionally. We are in a place now where people are literally burning the president in effigy in front of his home. Can you imagine a mob burning a black effigy of Obama in front of his house? Crazy right? I am just very aware that divisive language is what got us to a place where disparaging someone who is doing what he thinks is best for this country is actively compared to Hitler on a daily basis and I refuse to partake in it. That being said I would fight for your right to say anything you want.

Its all good.
