Late to the party and just getting home from work. BUT WTF!  Kanye is meeting with President Donald?   Does anyone remember the ####ake storm that Obama got for meeting with Beyonce.  ####### Kanye West!      The end days are near.
President ELECT. And Obama met with Kanye too, while in office, so let's pick our criticisms more carefully. WTF!

Going to be A LOT of job opportunities at the CIA in five weeks. Some real Americans should get their resumes ready.
Hey Clowntown,

First off, how are you?  Crazy right?  Like 84 IQ crazy amirite?

So CIA agents aren't real Americans?  So the year they have to wait just getting clearance, the behavioral tests, the polygraphs, the psychological training isn't enough?  What about going months in the field with zero contact with family and friends?  Not real as far as Americans go right?  How about never being able to tell people what you do?  How about a limited social life, a limited family life, a limited financial life because you are dedicated to the protection of the American values and the constitution?

How about dying for your country?  These folks did.  What have you ever done for your country besides being a whinny little ####bird?  Nothing right?  Live in your own little world don't you?  Afraid of the outside, afraid of reality, you have made a nice little wall around your world right?

Squistion says dumb #### like this all the time, he's the left version of you.  We aren't all going to be like you, some of us have actually contributed to the defense of the stars and bars, not just some ####### behind a keyboard spewing nonsense.  Good luck with that, don't trip on your own landmine.  ;)

Is he the same guy who thinks Trump should find a way to impeach or discredit John McCain? Probably doesn't think John McCain is a real American either.

Please don't compare me or conflate my views with this nutcase. I have never said anything analogous to this about the CIA or the people who work for any governmental agency. I have supported the right for Kaepernick to kneel while the National Anthem is being played, but that is hardly analogous to anything butcher boy has been saying, like his comments above or that Obama is no different than Hitler or Stalin outside of "not killing millions of people in gulags or concentration camps".

You're of the same ilk.  Low IQ, terrible logic, report button happy, and someone who loves false accusations.  Don't try to tell any of us you're anything but that, you have proven yourself to be a degenerate and a fool.

PDFTT

Seeiously, why does anyone reply to buttplug boy? He's an obvious troll.  Just ignore.
Here's the thing: about a year before this election I would have said that anybody who supported Donald Trump was a troll. I would have said that Donald Trump himself was a troll. How could anybody in their right mind vote for such a guy? It all had to be a joke, right?

But then Trump won the the state of New Hampshire, much to my shock. And then he won a lot more states, and the Republican nomination. And now, after spending a full year alternating between hateful and stupid, Donald Trump has been elected President. So I don't know who is a troll any more. Maybe there are millions of people who think the way Butcher Boy does. Maybe they're serious and they're coming for the rest of us. Who knows?

There absolutely are people that think that way. I have personally met them. There is guy and his son that frequent my local brewery. I run into them every once in awhile. He always tries to explain to me that Obama has the teachers teaching Islam to all the kids in school even in math and science, that the Democrats want to make Christianity illegal and that Obama has been sneaking illegal drug dealers into the country. They are dead serious.

Cool. I always wanted to be a member of an ilk. Maybe it is something like being in The Shriners where you can wear fez hats and drive tiny cars in parades.

While I'm not cool with him accepting bribes from the climate change hoaxers, if the guy gets a conservative on the Supreme Court and repeals Obamacare his Presidency will be a success.
Good lord you sound just like my brother...

Have you conservatives noticed a trend when it comes to the SCOTUS?  They tend to be on the "right" side of history when the dust settles.

Trump's first 100 days will be dominated by a repeal of Obamacare, building a wall on our southern border, and cutting taxes.

I'm extremely curious as to how they handle this Obamacare repeal. Trump has vowed that the pre-existing condition exemption would not be eliminated. No explanation of how they can do it. There are 3 alternatives that I can see:

1. Simply repeal Obamacare without any replacement. That's what the extreme right is demanding, but I can't imagine the chaos it will cause.

2. Repeal Obamacare and replace it at the same time. But no way they can manage this in 100 days. It will take a year or longer to come up with a new plan enough people will agree with.

3. Announce that Obamacare will be repealed at some future date, say 2 years from now, and Congress has that time to come up with something else.

I suspect the 3rd option is the most likely because government loves to kick things down the road, and Trump can still argue that he kept his promise. But it's putting off the chaos, it's not avoiding it.

#3 has been written about and speculated often in the media.

If they go with the third option, what is the most likely result when the time period expires? Based on history, it won't be Congress coming up with a new plan to replace Obamacare. What it will be instead is some sort of gridlock, followed by a further extension of Obamacare. And this could conceivably go on for years.

Paul Ryan has said Obamacare repeal is going to take awhile I believe. They can't just kick people off and will have to make it cheaper somehow or they will get killed.

There is not going to be a wall....Hopefully Trumpcare will be better thought out and not rushed through.  Too important an issue.

There is not going to be a wall...
Let's talk about this. Trump is insisting that a bill be passed immediately and on his desk within the first couple of weeks, and the wall built this coming year. You think this is simply going to go away?
Some wall will be built, probably 30 feet wide and 70 feet high at the El Paso/Juarez border.  Mostly to deflect the smog in Juarez, and the chance severed heads will be thrown onto US soil.  Otherwise no, not gonna be a wall.

One additional problem with the third option is that insurance companies don't respond favorably to uncertainty.

Obamacare did not pass until 14 months after Obama took office, so you can't really argue that it was "rushed through".
Yet we had to pass it so we could find out what was in it.

And your math is wrong.  The bill passed on Christmas Eve of 2009 which isn't 14 months from when Obama too office. It was signed into law in March of 2010.

The Tillerson nomination is the one that might have trouble getting through the confirmation process.  Better than Bolten or Guiliani, not as good as Romney who I think would have skated through.  But this administration is already blocking anyone questioning its methods, which is not a great harbinger for the near future.  When Trump can't get things through the legislative line he's gonna take heat, and someone is gonna have to be fired.

That said as much as I hate Russia and feel we should stay pretty clear of them, I think Tillerson's ties there are typical for the business he was in.  He was a Exxon exec, of course he had to deal with Russia.  Did he sleep with Putin's whores and take Russian wine tours that ended in him getting a $100,000 Russian coin with Putin's face on the front and steel ### on the back?  Maybe, I'm sure our white-hot Senate will get to the bottom of it just like Nancy Drew would.

Shriners usually deal with disputes individually and internally rather than using the report button.
Actually using the report button is handling a dispute internally and preferred by the mods, rather than dealing with something individually, which can get you a time out, but I digress...

Anyway, perhaps, if true, that is not surprising, considering their average age is 75 - doubt that most Shriners communicate through the internet or even are computer literate - although, I could be wrong, as maybe those groups involved with the Masons and the Illuminati are much more tech savvy than one would imagine (see Dan Brown books).

That said as much as I hate Russia and feel we should stay pretty clear of them,
Do you hate Russia beyond Putin, DD? Why?
Can't trust them, ever.  If it wasn't Putin it would be someone else, they have a long checkered past and their intention has always been dominating anyone within their sphere of influence.  William Cohen was all over TV today saying as much, many high-ranking Republicans have said as much.  Obama did a fantastic job distancing himself from Russia, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and others.  Netanyahu himself admitted that the cold relationship with the U.S. under Obama has led him to closer ties with his Arab neighbors, Obama indirectly created peace with his policies.

With Russia you have to maintain a working relationship to the point that you counterbalance their influence, but nothing more than that.  Luke warm with China, warmer with Israel, cold as balls on a bicycle seat in a Michigan winter with Russia.  No reason to give them any ground, they are predictably unreliable.

Yet we had to pass it so we could find out what was in it.
And once again, context. Speaker Nancy Pelosi  speech at the 2010 Legislative Conference for the National Association of Counties (NACo) :

“You’ve heard about the controversies within the bill, the process about the bill, one or the other. But I don’t know if you have heard that it is legislation for the future, not just about health care for America, but about a healthier America, where preventive care is not something that you have to pay a deductible for or out of pocket. Prevention, prevention, prevention — it’s about diet, not diabetes. It’s going to be very, very exciting.

But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy. Furthermore, we believe that health care reform, again I said at the beginning of my remarks, that we sent the three pillars that the President’s economic stabilization and job creation initiatives were education and innovation — innovation begins in the classroom — clean energy and climate, addressing the climate issues in an innovative way to keep us number one and competitive in the world with the new technology, and the third, first among equals I may say, is health care, health insurance reform. Health insurance reform is about jobs. This legislation alone will create 4 million jobs, about 400,000 jobs very soon."

Fair enough. I was sort of hoping that at some point we could get together with Russia (after Putin of course.) I admit to being kind of a Russophile- love Russian music, history, art, literature, etc. But I admit it's hard to argue with your analysis.
