Personal relationships with Putin and other leaders he's met through business ties aside, that's not the same as knowledge on the world stage with respect to running america.  With no experience with politics, little knowledge of foreign policy or likely the history of most countries (perhaps including the USA), he's going to be at a big disadvantage.

The presidency is a steep learning curve for everyone who enters it, but some people start off with more relevant knowledge than others, as well as a desire to learn from other smart people.  Trump doesnt' have much knowledge to draw on, and he doesnt' seem inclined to learn.  He wants people around him to tell him what to do, which is not a good position to be in when you're the one choosing who to put around you, and your knowledge isn't great to begin with.

I get it.  You don't like what you think might be his foreign policy.

Its not uncommon for a president to have little foreign policy experience before taking office though.  It's actually pretty common.

I'm not only talking about experience, I'm talking about knowledge.  Knowledge combined with experience is what allows you to filter new information and process it in a useful way.  The more of each you have, the better future decision you can make.  The less of each you have, the more likely future decision are to be wrong.  It's not a 1:1 correlation, but there's a strong correlation to more information/knowledge/experience to better decisions.  If he's outsourcing a lot of the knowledge/experience to other people, combined with a lack of desire to learn, it's not a promising situation.

Seizing is such a strong word.  Assisting to land to effort a solution to unintended overreach of visual information gathering while reviewing procedures to ensure a seemless transition back to its origin department is being reviewed by upper management seems a lot more on point with what is going on.  They are basically helping us.

People didn't care that they were flying nukes around the South China Sea.

Didn't care that they said they would take Taiwan by force if necessary.

Will they care now?  Its unmanned...so, probably not.  Cue a deflection to Iran taking a ship of ours and so on....

It's fine. Trump is going to call them, and tell them that if they don't give that sub back they'll be paying 80% tax on all their imports, and they will call him back the next day and say sorry Mr. Trump, we will return your sub and erect a statue of you at Tienanmen Square, and would you like a ####### too?

In the art of the deal, did Trump cover how to negotiate with foreign businesses whose army might go to war with your businesses army? 

 
Hail Mary #7 - Because Trump did not solve this immediately, it will likely be the next rallying cry to not have the electoral college vote him into office.

Its not just about experience...he had little knowledge.

Hell, he knew almost nothing about the South China Sea (obviously given his position in the last few weeks and how things are going there right now).

My three year would lose his #### and possibly go on a destructive rampage if I stole one of his bathtub toys. And there's a decent argument that he is more mature and has absorbed the same amount of US intelligence as the president-elect.

We'll know we're in real trouble if Trump refuses to eat anything other than rainbow colored cheddar goldfish for dinner.

Funny thing is that before the election, you know Trump would have been all over this as yet another example of how weak our military has become and how America loses all the time because people aren't afraid of us anymore. Now? Same people who would have eaten that #### up suddenly don't care at all.

The difference is you would have to blame Obama on that one...back than Trump had zero chance of winning the election (at least that was what we were told by people who now know exactly what the future holds) so they didn't think it made sense to blame him for that one...and the blame Bush narrative was a little worn out so he was out as well...

Because when California, Louisiana, Idaho, Nebraska, Texas, Oregon and Nevada calls out there votes in order, it's going to signal to everyone that the Clinton plan is in effect and Gerard Butler is going to zip line down and kill everyone in the room, and replace all of the cards that say Trump with ones for Hillary, and then the Russian secret agents that are in the place are going to quickly take the place of the elector that they have been surgically manipulated to look like and announce that they are done.

But they are going to overlook the one elector that lived.  He is going to make them pay.  Oh, and it's Channing Tatum.  Because, women like him so it will sell more tickets.

The point was about how Trump fans have reacted to such things as if they were no big deal.

By the way, good history point there - that's why Reagan had jelly beans in the Oval.  Bush Sr. made sure they were there to take his attention away from a meeting if they needed to have a grown up talk or had to tell him for the 100 millionth time that no, you can't have fricken laser beams to play with at your desk.

This just boils down to not agreeing with him.  That's fine.  I don't actually disagree with you.  I think his personality makes for a poor steady hand.  He's too brash and thin-skinned.

I don't know for sure how it will work out though and you guys are flinging so much poo around its obfuscating good arguments with random crap.
