I agree, but the later they take one, the better for Jones' prospects of hanging on to the starting job, at least for a while.

I do not mean this argumentively, but how could DeAngelo fans not see this coming? Coach Fox won more games when he had a big RB in Stephen Davis. Fox loves using a two-back set. Should be interesting to see how it plans out.

I'm betting on Mendenhall. that would mean a lot of questions for the top 3 RBs in rookie drafts. Now if Jones ends up in DAL, Rice in DET, Forte in CHI, someone in Denver, .... you'll have a lot of variability in rookie drafts and the 4, 5, 6, etc. picks have gained value.

Smith and the offense were hurt by their inability to sustain drives. Carolina is a better team and better offense. That means more points, and you have to bet Smith is going to get his share.
