How do you trade away your 2nd which is basically a late 1st to get a last 1st.

Might be the worst trade I ever seen basically CMC for a 3rd round pick and a move up of 1 to 2 picks in the late 1st.

Welp this one was a huge mistake. Those 2026 picks not really helping me right now but I sure could use a stud like Javonte. This is why you don't make these kind of trades a 2nd rounder isn't enough of a haul to risk what is happening now.
In retrospect this was a very bad decision one that might cost me for years.

Probably still very bittersweet as @Dez picked Javonte with dreams of his becoming the next great DEN RB (which, if we're being fair, so did DEN). But I agree that's a nice return on 2025 Javonte.

And then I doubled down and traded Javonte in a 2nd dynasty league thought my team was a powerhouse and didn't need him with Jeanty, Gibbs, Bijan and Chase Brown.

You can never have enuf talent. This team is only 2-2 right now and would not even be in the playoffs.

I wouldn't guarantee that. These running backs that are taken with late NFL draft capital are often replaced with guys taken with higher draft capital, even after good years.

James Robinson, Dameon Pierce, Tyler Allgeier, Chester Taylor, Jordan Howard, Tyrone Tracy, the Steelers have tried twice to replace Jaylen Warren they just suck at drafting rbs.

Good use of Murray. As of today, I prefer the acquisition of 2027 assets, but if you're trading away Murray, a 2026 1st will likely net you a top tier rookie QB. Leading up to the draft, it might be worthwhile trading that contender's 2026 1st away for 2027 assets. Yes, it moves your rebuild back a year, but (again as of today) that class looks stacked.

Understand and agree I'm more interested in chasing 2027 firsts but the team making him the offers had 3 #1's this year and their sole #1 in 2027 would be projected as 1.12, late for sure, so not going to get you the top of that elite group coming out.

If I was him I'd probably end up trying to deal some or all of those 2026#1's into 27#1`s that have a shot at being high, especially since his team is more then a year away. But I also think so many people are thinking the same that may not be so easy, probably easier during drafting season this up-coming off-season when fever builds.

FWIW he posted Bijan was available and when he does this he usually trades a guy quickly. I offered Bowers(1.5 TEP) and Judkins/Sampson yesterday. Got a solid counter on the Browns RB duo offer that most of you probably would have done, but I passed. I'm actually glad my Bowers offer was not taken.

FFPC TriFlex which means we are required to start 3WR, no D or K. But still a SF spot and two additional flex spots in the starting lineup. So WRs on the waiver are pretty thin compared to other FFPC leagues that only are required to start 2. And in these we *could*start as many as 6 if so inclined (or forced to).

And I felt forced to do this trade in order to stay competitive, for this week and for the season. And I *think* ironically that the trade works if I decide this season is a lost cause. Sitting 1 VP out of playoff picture ATM but decent squad. I need to be competitive in week 5 though, a couple VPs would be really nice. Alright so it was 28.9 pts in my boxscore I wouldn't have got otherwise. I did not earn any VPs but did put up what I would call a respectable 132. That might still matter with so many weeks left to go. Otherwise I still like the trade on paper. Not missing Tracy or Jennings and I have a hard time seeing Mike Evans come back and be the one missing ingredient for my team. An early 2nd and Miller seems fair there. And I certainly don't hate Shakir and Thornton in a start 3 WR format.
