I appreciate the discussion. My team got Allen and Pittman.
My team has had Kelce since the league startup draft in 2013 and lost in the championship game in 2017, 2019 and 2020 (lost in semis in 2018) and has not won a championship to date despite being a regular contender. This despite being strong at QB (Wilson, Watson), RB (Barkley, Gurley, Chubb, Ekeler, Carson) and TE (Kelce, Kittle). WR was the big hole, and we start 3-5. With Kelce coming off his likely career best season and turning 32, and with Kittle, Everett, and Howard remaining at TE, it seemed reasonable to try to trade Kelce now for useful WR help. Allen immediately becomes WR1, and Pittman slots into the starting rotation (start 3-4 WRs in 12 team league). There was no better offer to be had, after many offers were made and rejected.
This trade may turn out to be a mistake, but I like the odds of it working out positively given the situation.
