16 team IDP league TE premium QB 6 pts

I traded 1.14 and Zeke

for

CMC

Without going info lengthy explanation CMC was a franchised player every owner got to make 1 blind bid of players and/or picks and he got to either accept 1 of the offers or he would keep CMC for 1 more year (you can do this 2 times max before the player becomes a RFA but it costs a substantal $$$ amount each year you do it and can only do it for 1 player per year and only 2 times max on same player)

Seems like a nice upgrade from Zeke to CMC for a very low cost.

I have seen some speculation about Metcalf getting traded as well because he might be looking for a contract that tops Hill’s deal. 2022 is the last year of DK’s rookie deal. 
Lockett is 29 and signed for $3 mill this season, $10 mill next season and $15 mill per season for the next two after that. Metcalf is 24 and signed for $4 mill this season and might be looking for $20+ mill per season on a contract extension.

There's the caveat. Considering what Zeke's been through the last couple of years & the development of Pollard, it seems well worth the risk to find out. I like the trade - great upside vs EE, who is not without risk himself (knee, timeshare, etc)

So why wouldn't Seattle keep him as a fan attraction, then franchise & deal him next year?

I don't play anything like this format but my guess is if I really took a hard look at it this trade would only make sense if you told me Breece Hall was not a top 13 pick.

Yeah, i agree if it’s a short bench league.  Deep bench, I like Hock, Singletary & Jeudy enough to hang onto them another year.  

If they were 2023 picks it wound be a no-brainer in any format.

Yeah that was what I thought - I don't think it is super close *before* factoring in roster spots. But if you look at the roster of the owner that cleared those spots, or look at their roster after midnight tonight, who might they be keeping that they wouldn't have otherwise?

That is a very real question with a very real answer. And the names in the answer hold value.

me either - I turned down 2.06 earlier in SF. There is obviously a difference in value between the formats but the difference between 2.01 and 3.06 is pretty close to being the same functional gap regardless of the two formats. Devy or IDP probably a total different story. Or that Zealots stuff.

Metcalf has no business getting what Hill got.  Not per year anyway

My initial reaction was picks 2,3,4 by a mile

Pick 4 > pick 9 and 20

Pick 3> jeudy (maybe)

Pick 2 > hock and singletary

 I guess I still like 2,3,4 but at least I guess its close

Always like to see when people break it down this way especially when it's different then how I did it. When I looked at it more I agreed it was more on the 2-4 side and this was pretty much how I saw it:

1.2 over Singletary,9 and 20 and by a ton, this is where for me the deal was won.

 3-4> by a hair over Juedy/Hock

Your way sucks, I like my way better, hahaha

Yeah, your breakdown is about right.  Juedy and Hock could each easily be traded for pick 3 or 4 and I wouldnt think anything of it. 

But yeah, pick 2 easily over the rest.  But still, not a landslide

I got him back in a much larger deal to move from 2023 1.08-1.12 up to likely 2023 1.02-1.04, but I sent Carr, Ced & Bourne & they sent back ARSB

so…probably won’t help you. I’m very excited about him in PPR. I know he won’t see the targets he had with swift & hock out, but he did put up one of the best rookie 5-game stretches in recent memory, and the dude who was calling his number last year is now the OC, so….

I think he’s still a decent value to target. I’d say a 2022 2nd might get him? 2.04-5-6-ish?

one has 2022 2.04 worth 102.04 & ARSB worth 85.71

The other has 2022 2.04 worth 267 & ARSB worth 596

So yeah - maybe his value is in the eye of the beholder.

i certainly wouldn’t sell for a 2nd.

No way I sell for a 2nd. In this class, I think need at least something in the middle of the 1st round. Pick 12 alone wouldn’t cut it. I agree there’s a wide discrepancy on his value. A very reasonable case can be made to value ARSB on par with Pittman, Jeudy and Devonta Smith. There’s also a case to be made that he’s more in the range of Claypool, Aiyuk and Mooney. It’s quite a spread on him and it’s an interesting NFL production vs Draft Capital value question. 

 
I thought about inquiring on DK. If he gets traded to KC, GB or AZ, whoa baby. Buy low window closing!! Then I remembered the team that almost got Hill… lol.

2022 1.01

Yep I know I massively overpaid, however there was slightly more to this as I needed roster space for rookies and I want Hall and if 1.01 didn't take him then the team at 1.02 was going to.

I have won the ship in my league 3 of the 5 years we have been in existence and was the runner up last year so my team is built well and Mariota/Jones were end of bench guys who the 1.01 guy needed to fill his roster.

I still have 1.08 as well as 2.09 in a 3 round draft so I am more than happy to give up 2 top 5 picks to get Hall. 

Its the price of the top pick I guess, now hopefully Hall doesn't land somewhere yucky......

That's like 4 leagues now I"ve seen you pick up Palmer in.  Makes me feel better about holding him in a league and cutting some other fringe guy instead as I've been struggling on last cuts there

Yeah I've picked him up in a lot of spots for super cheap, and held him in others where I already had him. I had a really hard time keeping him in a couple spots, though. I ended up cutting a couple fringe guys like Vaughn, MVS, Higbee, etc.

My expectations are tempered but he flashed last year, has DC, I think they believe in him, and he is tied to Herbert in a division that is going to have fireworks for years to come. Keenan and Mike Williams are still a problem, but if either of them ever misses time this year, Palmer can be a winner for that week and of course they are both older. If he takes a developmental leap, as should be expected with rookies that flashed, his value will only go up, even if only as a PT player. Think Gabriel Davis going into year 3 but with better draft capital. 

It is just a dart throw depth play but IMO an educated dart throw with some weight. Would love to see the Chargers running 3/4 WR sets all day.

That is a little over pay but Mariota isn't worth anything in 1 QB, I don't value RoJo much either.  This seems like a good move for you personally as I like Hall too.  I might want to wait until I see where he got drafted but his price could go up then too.

I like it for you.  1.01 in this draft is the only pick I would want.  I am not real high on this draft

I would pay that in a heartbeat and I’m surprised Marcus Mariota has any value in a one quarterback league.

 
This one went down in my league earlier today. PPR, 2QB. Not involved. 
 

Team A Gave: Devonta Smith, 2023 2nd

Team B Gave: 1.06 and Allen Robinson 

Team A finished middle of the pack last year. Team B is straight rebuilding and has either the worst or second worst roster in the league.

Interesting. I've floated him out a bit in my fairly similar league and haven't gotten anywhere near 2x 1st rounder bites. As a contender I'm gonna hold this year unless something big comes across the trade desk. I know there's a solid risk I lose nearly all trade value for him but the reward for this season is huge if he's able to come off injury even at 85% of his usual self. 

This is the part of dynasty that I struggle with the most. If im not contending, it's an easy thought process. But with a top 3-4 team, knowing how long to hold aging, very productive vets, is a challenge.

Same. I doubt I'd be able to get two 1sts for him but from the teams I'm competing with. 

Think he's one of those players who is so freakish and has always been so undervalued in Dynasty that he'll retire on my roster.
