****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (24 Viewers)

Picked up an orphan last week and make a few quick trades to get some talent on the roster.

FFPC, 1 QB

total of both trade

Gave: TrevorLawrence, 1.04, 1.07, 2,07

Got:AJ Dillon, Devonta Smith, ‘23 1st (likely top 6 overall pick), 3.09, ‘23 5th

not big wins but got two young players that I think have shown they can play in this league instead of trying to guess the 1st round hits in this class at 4 and 7. Got what looks to be a good pick in 23
I like the move.

Zealots, PPR, IDP, 1 QB

Team A gets:

Dalvin Cook

Mostert

3.01

Team B gets:

Miles Sanders

James Conner

Trautman

2.03

3.07

12 Team PPR

1.9 for 2023 1st

Everyone is in love with the 23 draft and will probably go that direction...I will add in an addendum to this...is there a plan for the 1.9?  If this is merely a blank slate move for the 1.9 it doesn't make sense but if you legit like 9 players or if the 1.9 is the piece needed to make a bigger trade, I get it...so the question is...does the Owner getting the 1.9 know what he is doing?

100% Cook...you nibble around the edges of your roster and you land a legit stud without giving up any premium picks or foundational young players...I see no reason for Team B to do this.

12 team ppr

Gave 1.06, Hunter Renfrow

Got: Metcalf

Obvious questions with Metcalf QB situation but finally, him still being just 24 years old put me over the top.

12 team PPR dynasty. I won it last year, trying to increase chances of a repeat.

Gave: Akers, Godwin, DeVonta Smith, 3.12

Got: Tyreek Hill, Kupp, 1.10, 2.10

Real bad deal for the other guy…just awful…first of all there is zero reason to be including those picks, that is just foolish…as far as what he got, he picked up three players with legit questions…Akers is coming back from a serious injury so you don’t know what he really is right now…Godwin is coming off of an ACL injury and while Smith can play Philly is not a team I look to get too involved with in fantasy,… you gave up two studs and everything you got back has a question and even if it works out it is not much of an improvement once you factor in the picks…I see no reason for the other guy to make this deal…gotta repeat it again…it is awful

Got zero issue with Metcalf for that but this is definitely a deal that may look a lot different this time next year…Metcalf literally does not have a QB and unless that changes I don’t see a big year coming and if he resigns with Seattle it could be a few years…I am much higher on Renfrow than most because I believe he has a chance to really blow up if McDaniels uses him the way I think he will and that #6 pick ensures you get a very good prospect at either RB or WR…you could literally have a scenario where both Renfrow and the player drafted out perform Metcalf this year…if I was shopping Metcalf I would lean towards making this deal but again, that is because I like Renfrow more than most.

I know there are people who love Akers and those who are running from him, that's for sure. So I take it you think I should send him a Christmas card/ham? ;)

Yup and if you do it makes more sense…I just don’t like giving up two studs and the three pieces you get back all have significant questions…far too much downside and because it is Hill and especially Kupp there has to be better options.

I'm happy with the trade (it was his counter) BUT, I do see a lot of people in my dynasty leagues who shy away from players approaching 30 and Kupp and Hill are significantly older than DeVonta, Akers, and Godwin. So I see it like a redraft vs dynasty trade, no doubt if all the players just do their averages next year, I win hands down (and likely by a huge margin). But in a few years I'll have rapidly declining assets and he'll still have young bucks.

I totally agree with the philosophy and dealing Kupp and Hill right now can make a ton of sense in Dynasty…I just don’t like that he did it and acquired so many question marks and zero high picks…gotta do better than that.

I am not worried about Akers and my true belief, no hyperbole,  that within 2 years Devonta will be the most valuable player in this trade but like your side especially for helping achieve your repeat goal.

12 Team PPR

1.9 for 2023 1st

I may be a minority of 1 but if the 2023 projects as one of those lock looking 10-12 type picks I'd rather hold and see what is available at 9 for either myself or if interest picks up more when I'm OTC so I can get a better projected 2023 first. But for sure if that 2023#1 does not look like that kind of end of round one lock I'd jump on it.

Long way of saying I'm not yet at a point I'd give 1.9 for ANY 2023#1.

FFPC 1QB league where I’m middle of the road. Other team is a top 4 team again this coming year.

gave:

Zeke Elliot

C Davis

got:

2.9

3.9

2023 1st (likely late, maybe mid with some “luck”, of the bad kind for him)

2023 3rd (same)

100% Cook...you nibble around the edges of your roster and you land a legit stud without giving up any premium picks or foundational young players...I see no reason for Team B to do this.
Team B has Cousins, Thielen, and Irv Smith and was looking to diversify.   Cook is a tough guy to get full value on due to injury worry.

the KTC calculator has this favoring Team B by quite a bit.

That’s kind of the risk you take when you make trades, especially when draft picks are involved. I would guess that the odds are higher that Renfro stays the same or regresses a little bit with the addition of Adams than they are that he significantly improves from his 100/1000/9, 2021.

I like to other side of the Cook deal, actually. It's a start nine guy league and the VORP for replacement backs off of the waiver wire is an absolute disgrace. Give me the Conner/Sanders side.

I was not involved with the deal, I just know the league and the rosters of each guy.

I just saw an average team in a 16 team, .5 PPR, Superflex, TE Premium IDP give up entire draft for 1.6. They drafted Malik Willis as draft 1st round before NFL draft.

not a league I am involved in.
I am no stranger to the man-crush. That is way too much of an investment even for a man-crush.

I pointed out that I know I am in the minority on Renfrow which is why most will like this trade by a lot…having watched McDaniels closely I think he is gonna use the hell out of him and the fact they have Waller and Adams will make it even easier to do so as there is no way the D can give him any extra attention.

No doubt that Cook is not gonna return full value and I have zero issues moving him but he didn’t even get a first round pick or a foundation player for the future unless Sanders finally hits…you may have nothing to show for this deal in two years…I would much rather keep Cook and figure out another deal than make this deal in April when you aren’t even getting a #1 in this draft…IMO there is no need to make this type of deal right now…you will be able to get it any time you want.

All fair points, but what the heck is the fun in waiting? TRADE NOW.

Wow, what a string of felony thefts. 🤢

What it looks like when you are excited Russ is coming to town

What it looks like when you are nervous that he's leaving.

If there were any doubts about the NFL perception -- or the fans' perception -- of Russell Wilson, it can be inferred from the reaction and probably accurate assessments, community-wide, to the trade.

When people are that excited to see the deep ball, you know everyone from very good receivers that thrive in deep situations to very good running backs get life from an excellent quarterback.

And the deep threat on the other side sighs.

My trade was too fair and boring for this thread I think ;)

good deal to get a 2023 first. Well done. Still haven’t gotten a comment on my Zeke deal, so you’re not the only one.
Thanks man.

bump yours (didn’t see it in the last 2 pages unless I’m blind) and I’ll gladly bestow my genius, award winning fantasy football opinion upon your trade ;)

It wasn't eye-popping. Zeke for the 2.01, 3.02, and Drue Tranquill while giving up the 4.02. Nine offensive starters, Nine defensive starters, so it makes the 3.02 different than it would be.
