****OFFICIAL DYNASTY TRADES**** (5 Viewers)

Cook is actually really hard to trade.  Nobody wants to give up what he is worth so if his owner really needs/wants to move him for some reason this is the type of offer he will get.  It's on the low side but nobody is willing to give up much more.
I can't get him anywhere.  Not for anything near that deal

I sold Cook during early last season for Dobbins, Terrence Marshall and a 2022 1st (turned out to be 1.12).

I saw Cook go for a 2023 1st and 2nd this off-season.

Im not high on Conner (and I know some are) but you have to do better than that of keep him. That’s neither helpful as an upgrade for this season or the future really.

You would be surprised how many people do factor that "value" into the trade.  I hear it all the time in trade talks.  It's very frustrating because there really isn't any reply to I got the guy in the 2nd round so I should get 2nd round value for him.   Once the draft is over the round you got a guy in is totally irrelevant.  It now moves to how he is actually performing.
Exactly. The players value is the players value. The players value is not what you paid for him. Ever.

Back right after the season. I traded Cook, Mostertn and 3.01 for Miles Sanders, Conner, Trautman, 2.03, and 3.07

This is a full IDP with deep rosters (51-60 depending on time of year) where you can start 2-5 RB's.

I was looking to diversify and add RB depth as I have Cousins, Thielen, and Irv Smith.  I also still have Mattison after the trade.  I wasn't ecstatic with the return but it was by far and away the best return I could get.  Overall I am not disappointed with the return but I am higher than most on Sanders and Conner.

Courtland Sutton

2023 second round pick (from a likely playoff team)

2023 third round pick (from a likely playoff team)

for

cooper Kupp
I’m a big fan of Sutton but kind of surprised by how cheap Kupp is going in some of these deals. Obviously he’s due for some regression but he was so far ahead to begin with.

Seeing that value for Sutton is kind of making me regret passing on my Hopkins for his Sutton a few weeks back.

I don't think there is any way Kupp has the same type of season as last year but this is pennies for him.  To get Kupp (the best WR from last year) for a WR2 at best and not give up even 1 1st rounder is robbery in itself.  Kupp is older so he is being undervalued by guys but amazes me how some people just give studs away sometimes.

The funny thing is he's not even that old. He just turned 29 a month ago and seems like the type of player that will age well. This thread is making me think I should send out some offers for him. The last 3 deals posted here have seemed incredibly cheap for a guy that virtually lapped the field in 2021.

Right.  I'm right there with you.  His game isn't predicated on crazy athleticism like a Julio or isn't injury prone.  Plus, him and Stafford seem to have a crazy connection and he just signed a big deal.  You could pay almost double that value and still come out on top.  You are totally right that the last few trades on here for him seem just terrible value-wise.

Henderson/23 2nd (likely mid) for 23 1st (late)
Gimme that 1st here. At best Henderson is a RBBC back, at worst if Akers is 100%, he’s a breather back.

In either scenario the 1st is more valuable to use or flip to get something better, and as we’ve seen, even if Akers goes down, how many games can you really trust Henderson to stay healthy? Dude bruises like a grape.

The easiest way for me to judge this deal is this: if I had a 2023 1st to deal, what RBs could I get for it? If any of the answers are “better than Henderson” it’s a no-brainer.

I’d smash accept on the 1st round pick side.

Somebody said that if he had scored zero TDs last year he still would have finished as WR2 or 3.

24 team 11 starters 2 copies of each player QRRWWTKDFFF so 3 flex but no more than 4 RBs or WRs can be started. Not really important here I guess. Hey it is my *one* non FFPC dynasty team and our rookie draft is in a week.

I gave Ronald Jones, 2023 2nd (I project it late, duh)
I got 2.08, 3.08

So that is like 2.04 and 3.04 in a regular 12 teamer. I hold two 1sts, three 2nds and three 3rds for this draft now and I'm looking forward to really nailing this draft. Anywho.

I like it, but I confuse easily with this format. @yoman has tried explaining it to me for years and my eyes cross and I get all fidgety. lol

The only tricky thing is there are 2 copies of each player. You can't roster both versions. 24 owners. So the rookie picks go 1.01, 1.02, 1.03....all the way to 1.24, then 2.01 to 2.24 and so on. That's it.

I played in a similar league that disbanded after our 2020 jackpot season, but the big twist was that each year starting from our inaugural startup year, the bottom two teams were kicked out of the league and their rosters went into the rookie draft/FA pool. So I'd be sitting there with one version of Mike Evans but the other version is available at the top of the draft and I'm like "ok so I'll trade Evans for the 1.02 plus change because the 1.01 will be going to Barkley and then I can snag the other version of Evans back, but profiting some small change and yada yada" and it made my eyes spin. One night during an epic summer party at a friends house that went all night - I got really *really* unsober, in a "Have you ever been experienced?" kind of way and got a big convoluted offer in my email that included all these different pieces including draft picks where the second version of somebody was on the board. Anyway I nailed that trade but I had to really galaxybrain it while the DJ spun that ####.

Just curious, would you prefer Jonathan Taylor or a random 23 1st?

😉

Team C clawing his way up. Made a trade with the Henry owner.

Team C gave: D.Hilliard, 2.8, 2023 4th, 2024 3rd

Team D gave: 2.5
2 picks to move up 3 spots in the mid 2nd?  All those guys are pretty much the same.  I'm assuming this wasn't during the draft?

FFPC 1QB not involved

Team A gave 2023 1st, M Willis
Team B gave Renfrow, 2023 2nd
Terrible trade whoever shipped out their future 1st. I don't understand why people trade future picks this far out. That's your insurance and a piece you trade inseason if it puts you into contention.

2023 1st.  Why would anyone give a 2023 1st  for Renfrow?

That seems like an overpay for Renfrow to me.

Yeah I mean I haven't looked at whether that would project as a late 1st and an early 2nd but if it did turn out to be like 1.10 and 2.03 next year, would 2.03 plus Renfrow be so bad for 1.10? Obviously it could swing the other way, too, but this may have been the reason behind it. Otherwise FFPC is PPR and Renfrow has a chance to be the new Edelman/Welker in McDaniels offense. And he is elite.

But at face value I have to agree this is largely a head scratcher.

I agree…but….what you touched on does make sense. Incredible season last year in PPR from Renfrow. He now has a NE coach who rode the Welker/Edelman years. What is wrong with that prognostication if you need a WR? Nothing IMO…we (myself included) get caught up in what could be versus what is a lot.

This is a funky format but you would have to do it to play with 24 teams.  I like the move if the 23 2nd really is late.  If it is early, I would lean the other way.

Team C is just terrible.  He is giving away value left and right.  2 picks in a deep draft and a player (granted not a valuable one) to move up 3 spots when not on the clock (I'm assuming you would have put the players drafted if it were on the clock).  Just pissing away value any way he can isn't he.
