I don't think that anyone is expecting great things from the giants this year. I was just confused why he was making it out to be a choice between MHJ and Nabers when I didn't think it necessarily was but I think your explanation makes sense.

LOL Well it’s been a long *** 30 years, but brother we are coming. It’s an expansion franchise at this point and they have built a wicked front office. FWIW I love what Chicago has going on too. We may clash big time in a couple years

Man, I sure hope so. I really like the way the WAS franchise has taken shape this year. If they can keep moving in the right direction, I forsee good things. Bears are in the same boat, except we still have the same deadbeat ownership. My sincere hope is that Poles can pull this franchise single handedly into a new era...but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we trade a beat-down Caleb Williams to the Steelers in 3-4 years.Sorry for your loss.

B is probably the best team even before the trade. A was in the SB last year but traded some older players, probably not a strong contender but solid.
I’m not sure whether I’d do either side of this deal, but that value seems about right to me for Breece. I can see team contexts where I’d want the Breece side and others where I’d prefer the Barkley side.
Getting 4 years younger at RB with an ultra premium, top 3 option isn’t cheap.

Yeah this makes sense with your roster IMO. Go get that chip. I think Breece is going to absolutely smash this season. Could easily be the RB1.

FWIW, B is a new owner, takes over a team with (now) Mahomes, Allen, Barkley, A Jones, st brown, Nico, Godwin, Laporta, Kelce, Walker. But his bench is bad other than Stafford.
I happen to have his first and second from previous deals.

I would happily pay that for Breece. Kelce will be 35 this year and probably getting to be near the end of getting any value for him. I think this is cheap for Breece.

I would not sell Breece for that but if the contender needed a TE I guess I can see going all-in there. I’d have exhausted my options pursuing other TE’s before making a move for Kelce at his age in this package though. Short-term may put that team over the top so I get it.

The team I have Breece on is already kinda old. If I do a soft rebuild Hall is a cornerstone asset. To move him I’d need at least 1 younger assert coming back.

Draft for the most part is the only time. It makes the annual draft a lot more fun to consider if you grab that vet, take a rookie who maybe it's clearly obviously the guy, or a devy that you know you have to hold at least one year or more before you could even start him.
It keeps owners interested for teams that are way out of things. It really starts to string out the ability to stay relevant or allows new owners of poor teams to pull a dud out of a tailspin quickly if they make smart college choices.

For what it's worth, should you care to be further informed..... Sanders is currently crowd-sourced QB4 in Devy, Arnold is QB6. What makes these leagues interesting is the younger is obviously more risky. You not only have to hold that much longer, but how many "can't miss" guys do we all hear about every year and college guys are a whole step away from the NFL on top of that.
Arnold has started 1 college game, was QB4 in his high school class, is entering his sophomore year, and has a pro comp of Taylor Heinicke in terms of style. Arnold is at least two years away but clearly maybe more. Sanders more of us know. He's going in next year's draft and could be anywhere from QB1 to a non-first rounder. Sanders is clearly coming sooner, so we'll know if he's any good quicker to hold/cut/trade but Arnold had the greater expected press coming into college.
I'm team B. I wanted to accelerate knowing if I have a future QB problem or not. These were originally separate deals (Brooks for Mitchell, Arnold/Kirk for Sanders) and Diaby was the final kicker to push them over the line as one deal. He had rookie WR to spare, though I tried to target Coleman, and at least I gave myself a young option to possibly supplant Kirk. At the end, the deal will come down to Sanders/Arnold but really if they're even, I overpaid. I like the risk of Sanders' upside so we'll see as early as next year if Arnold has a lot to live up to (or if he ever does).

Our rule is the player must at least have been committed by draft start. Looking back, I’d have set the minimum at sophomore or higher.
But each year there’s some guy who pushes on that rule. Arch Manning committed to Texas the day after we started the draft a few years ago. This year it was Dakorien Moore. I’m in two leagues like this and I got 2025 RB1 Akylin Dear in a later round. He’s since decommitted from Ole Miss but I still have him. Because we started later in league two, he was ineligible there this year.

I'd recommend joining some Pop Warner groups on Facebook to evaluate who is truly coming down the pipeline. That might help you forecast your roster construct for the next decade.
In actuality, sometimes... when trying to weed through my Rookie Tiers, I will look at Devy Rankings to see who is potentially entering the draft the next year... don't want to reach for a RB? Maybe the next year the RB class is stacked, it is. Take your BPA at WR and kick the RB can down the road another year. I like to forecast the next couple of years out and devy rankings help with that.

You don’t have to be up on high school players to be effective in DEVY, just college freshman during their season, sophomores and juniors. I’ve seen many, if not most, four star and five star high school players turn out to be duds, so it is more important what they do in college than high school.

But most don’t get this. Selling another owner on potential for a devy can benefit you greatly in deals as well. Just like everyone who loves and clamors for the backup QB to start.

Carrying devy players is kinda like carrying extra future draft picks but in this case the value can rise and fall with their performance, or completely tank for a year if the kid decides to return to school for another year (see: TreVeyon Henderson and Emeka Egbuka).

I'm good either way although I almost always get out of ACL situations right away so I would lean Moss/Brown...big picture one team locks down the Cincy RB situation while the other team rolls the dice on a not getting any younger Chubb coming back from a major injury while also adding in a pick (after writing that I like the Moss/Brown side better)...small picture would really need to look at both teams' rosters but overall this is a fair trade with the safer-side being Moss/Brown.

I’m probably on the Moss/Brown side, but not sure why the pick is on the Chubb side.
In a situation like this I might have waited to see if Chubb comes back full strength to deal him.
Present day this seems fair. In a month it might feel like a bargain for Chubb.

I'd agree the pick is probably on the wrong side... Moss has value, while Chase Brown has perceived value but together (since they are running in the same backfield) they do not have the same value as a healthy Nick Chubb.

I agree, I think the starting RB for the Bengals is included in this trade... I am just not sure who that guy is. I could see a timeshare early with someone pulling away from the pack with 60-70% of the volume. That is why I said, Team 1 basically traded the "Best Player" and a pick... and Team 2 got the starter for the Bengals and a JAG.
*edited to say* - I actually hate these types of trades. I'd rather throw a 3rd out for Chase Brown than include Chubb for both... I don't want another team to pass uncertainty onto my team.

Yeah, I am all for selling Nick Chubb... I think his age, wear and tear... I have zero confidence he returns to form, because that injury looked awful.
He is valued at RB40 on KTC. The problem is... if you are a young roster entering into a rebuild of any kind, you don't want Nick Chubb. If you are competing, maybe you want him? Injuries like this are difficult to navigate through... hold him half the season, he gets eased back into action for a couple weeks... ready to rip through the league by playoff time?
Coincidentally, Chase Brown is valued at RB39. In any event, to keep things moving along... I'd rather pick the guy I want in the backfield, plant my flag and go and get your guy. It is a future 3rd round pick and a 1-legged RB for a 2 RB's and I guess there probably isn't any harm in that.
