*Official ******* EXECUTIONER Thread!* DOOOOON'T CAAARE (1 Viewer)

It seems as if our hero Mr. Sutter went full nutso with this show. At least he's not trying to pass his wife off (even though she's lovely) as some kind of irresistible POA.

I don't think his style jibes with a historical setting. I just felt myself nodding out on any sort of long conversation. I just didn't care about any of it.

It wasn't terrible, although it did feel like it could have aired on the CW at 3:00 PM on a Sunday after some Cleopatra 2020 reruns

Also that guy from The Americans is doing a good job with the disguises back in olden days too

Watched last night. Pretty strong Braveheart knock-off (only Welsh!) early, but maybe that's how all of these stories go from that era. Lots of fighting and gore and at least some semblance of a plot going on. Worth seeing the spiral into disaster, imo.

Also, how come every farmer's teeth are #### except for main character guy?

Still in my DVR, have not watched yet. Waiting to see what is said about the show after this pilot episode until I decide to watch or not. Pilots usually suck.

Because Great Britain?

Honest answer is that he was a knight and they were all peasants.

Yeah, I suppose that may be plausible.

Took me a couple of minutes to recognize him

I put up with Sutter's glorification of his wife for too many years to watch him do it again.

I'm out.
At least he's not showing her as some bone trophy for 25 year old guys like he did on SoA.
Yet...
To be honest, I still carry a bit of a torch for her from her Married with Children days. That said, wasn't happy to see her half nude here. Teenage dreams are getting marred.

The beauty of having her be a witch is she can cast a spell on any young buck she pleases. Sutter could have her getting rammed all season.

I finally finished EP 1 last night. Totally disappointed there was no musical montage. I was really looking forward to Ray Wylie Hubbard's cover of "Greensleeves".

so this guy will have to pretend to be something he's not in order to not get in trouble with the authorities. when does Mr. Furley show up?

There's an AV Club review of it, so I guess yes?

That nobody in here commented the day it aired, or the next morning...doesn't seem like it bodes well.

My DVR cut out at the hour mark. What did I miss in the last 10-15 mins? Did he kill the girl? Put in spoiler if need be.

Who needs spoilers? He did not kill the girl. He accompanied the Baroness to the girl's village. The Baroness figured out which one to go to based on... reasons. The girl's fat ginger mom wouldn't cooperate. The Executioner pressured the girl's brother to give up the Americans Russian spy guy. The Baroness wants to discuss things with the leader of the rebellion. The Executioner then sent a warning to the rebel leader. Credits.

wow, so awful. laughably bad. and Sutter always putting himself in the shows as some badass is just too much. even Vampire Bill can't save this one for me. DVR series cancelled.

i hope the berber brohan just starts trying to sell everyone carpet all the time at inaprorpriate times just to keep it light it would be like man were in a battle and bam he is talking about wall to wall it would spice it up a little take that to the bank

I was hoping that he would keep trying to give everybody his mix tape.

:lmao:

There was a threesome with twins

And I think they said some torture device was supposed to be put in the girls slot

Other than that it's pretty terrible though
