BTW... should we not win by April '25, we have a dilemma https://www.megamillions.com/News/2024/Mega-Millions-To-Get-MEGA-Enhancements-in-April-20.aspx

Ticket prices for Mega going up to $5. With our current 10 draw period (2 draws per week for 5 weeks), this means we'll have to raise our buy in. I suggest either:
  • Stay with MegaMillions and go to $25 per member per period (up from $10).
    • With our current 22 members, that would be $550 per period or $55 per drawing - 11 tickets per draw.
  • Switch to PowerBall and go to $20 per member per period (up from $10) - remember there are 3 PB drawing per week vs 2 for MM
    • A "period" would go from 5 weeks (15 draws) to 6 weeks (18 draws)
    • With our current 22 members, that would be $440 per period or $22 per drawing - 11 tickets per draw
  • Terminate our club
I think my preference would be to stick with the MM as payouts are supposedly more lucrative. Will go with majority vote.

Staying with MM works for me.

I'm fine with either MM or PB, whatever the majority wants

There are two weeks (4 draws) until this change takes place... We have $32 in slush so I will buy 4 tickets for each draw (4x4x$2=$32).

General consensus was to: Stay with MegaMillions and go to $25 per member per period (up from $10). With our current 22 members, that would be $550 per period or $55 per drawing - 11 tickets per draw

Plus... we'll need to increase the escrow by $15 to $25 as well. I'm concerned this will be too rich for even the FBGs blood... maybe I'm wrong. If everyone is still game, will need everyone to pony up $40 ($15 for escrow, $25 for first period).

Only @Controller and @St. Louis Bob have enough in their bank to cover, so everyone else needs to pay.

I think I missed the post about MM going up to $5 a play. That's fine with me. We can stick with MM. If the majority wants to switch to PB though, no complaints from me either.

I just sent some $$$ for a few periods and escrow.
