In true American fashion, folks just start taking states with no semblance of draft order or even knowing who the teams are. First come first served draft order in place here.

I'll be honest. I'm taking Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Contiguous states is the key here folks...nobody wants to have to defend lots of different borders. After I draft these 3, I'm going to build a wall. If you want Ben and Jerry's or Maple Syrup, you're going to have to come to me. Otherwise, leave me alone.

I may have enough hippies to invade Nova Scotia if I want a little more space.
