The Red Sox have momentum, Beckett will be on a short lease and hopefully Farrell is working on his mechanics (assuming it is not his oblique that is causing his change in pitching) to get his FB back into the 94-95 range instead of the 92-93 range. If they are lying about his injury then hopefully they have a strong plan B and change up his pitch selection so that he does not continue to throw just meatball heat.
Red Sox win 5-2
Dude...seriously?He's injured. Come on....
And the problem with his heater isn't 3 mph....it's because it has zero movement and he's having trouble hitting his spots.

Dude. You questioned if his oblique what was causing the issues... that's like "questioning" if the earth spinning is what's causing day and night. You then made the assertion that the 2mph drop in velocity was causing the problems. It wasn't. The Rays are a good fastball hitting team... 94...97..makes no difference if there is no life to the ball and you can't locate it. The problem wasn't 2mph on a fastball. That's idiotic. The problem was the injury which is causing the loss in speed (and the resultant loss in control and straight ### fastball..the real reason he could be hit so easily).
He's found a way to pitch around/thru the oblique injury... be it motion, injections, whatever. I'm damn happy as well but let's not pretend that because he got 2mph back that he's now blowing folks away.
