Finished the main storyline. My next plan is to do the rest of the assassination missions -- I saved a few but now have no idea why since I have more money already than I can spend -- and then try online again.

Some guy corners Brady's car and kills us twice each. So I put a bounty on his head. Costs me $2000 to place a $1000 bounty. Then like ten seconds later I run into the guy and kill him. At least I got half my money back, right.

My favorite part was when some random hunting our helicopter down tried to jack our helicopter, only for him to join in as a passenger.

Instead of staying, he jumps out and dies.

I've discovered the jacking-and-selling method, but that's only worked for me once so far.

BTW, the car that I raised such a fuss over is no more. I found a new hotness.

I've been trying to save up for a place with a garage, so probably that. Maybe two separate places. A condo, then a 10 car garage.

I'm hoping this economic stimulus kicks up a flurry of bounties. I love me some bounty hunting in free roam. Loads of fun.

TIP -

If someone invites you to the "Stealing the Titan" mission, DO IT.

It's a real easy way to make $10K. You just need to kill some Merreyweather d-bags, then steal a giant plane and land it in Sandy Shores. Everyone involved gets $10K.

You have to be Rank 24 to start it, but anyone can play it if someone 24+ invites them.

You can also pay $100 and go in "passive mode" where other players can't touch you. It's a good way to get a feel for the online game without dealing with the animals.

Although, the first time you run over someone running amock in the desert, you won't ever want to go into passive mode again.

Oh my god, this game really tests our moral compass like no other. I had a mission with some dude that we did for like a half hour, we worked as a team, it was great to see.

After we are returned to freemode i see that the dude i was with has a bounty on him...I debate for a few seconds, then pull the trigger and am now 7K richer while feeling like a total POS

Granted I've only played online for a few hours.... but from what I experienced myself and have read, passive mode only protects against gunfire while you are on foot.

If you are in a vehicle, you receive no extra protection at all.

If you are on foot, you can still be killed by a vehicle or other physics damage.

So it might be good as a "pause" where you go somewhere vehicles can't access and leave your character while you drop a deuce. Beyond that, it's of questionable long term use. At best you could use it to explore but would have to still dodge any vehicles someone comes at you with.
