LOVING this so far. Just gorgeous to look at and so much attention to all the small details. Every block and building appears unique.

Looks like I'm not the only one to enjoy the digital bewbs at the strip club. I didn't know you could get the stripper to like you enough to get her in the sack, though. When that happened, I didn't have a car with me. I got her to follow me, jacked a car, had her get in, then she freaked out and wanted to get out. Guess strippers generally don't like dudes that are THAT bad.

Picked up a hooker near my house. Did the obligatory car in the alley transaction. It is way more graphic than last versions. Wow.

I guess I'm spending a lot of my initial $$ on the sechs.

INSANE amount of pop up in the into
I think this is the game that's going to show that the current consoles are on their last gasping breath. There's just no reason other than raw firepower why this game should look this bad.
WTF are you talking about? I nearly wept flying into the sunrise it was so beautiful... then my plane engines stalled and I crashed out in the middle of the ocean and got ate by a shark.
I keep reading stuff like this in reviews, and I'm just not getting it. This game needs some anti-aliasing badly.

I know it's an open-world game so you can't expect it to look like Uncharted, but Skryim and even Saints Row had substantially crisper graphics than this one does.
C'mon, man. Granted, there were some pop-ups in the opening sequence, but this game looks fantastic. I think you're nitpicking.

I'm not following you either, Ivan. The game is smooth as Shakira's rear for me. I'm loving it.

I got a stripper's like meter maxed out and asked her to come home, and she said she doesn't do that. Stiffed!

Maybe I need to use Franklin. Michael don't have any game.

Also the Blimp is kinda fun.

Tip: unlike San Andreas, entering a flying vehicle does NOT give you an automatic parachute. So jumping out the blimp will not make your guy happy.

ETA: but when parachutes are unlocked, that blimp is going to be awesome for skydiving.

I felt that I needed to report that you cannot shoot up the strip club. I really wanted to Pac-Man Jones the place but instead I ended up getting a dance from a stripper named Juliet. I ended up doing the onscreen prompts and got her like level up to 100% and then went back to her place and apparently nailed her. She is now a contact in my phone but I'm not sure what means other than she sent me a text message picture of her in a bikini. I wonder if I go through the door to the club with the shotgun out if I can set it off or not. I really need to run amok in the club for some reason.
I did this too, but got to grabby about 3% away from...completion...and got booted. :hot:

I was able to take "Infernus" home. Basically just like how you would take one of your girlfriends home in San Andreas.

In fact, I like that this game generally feels like San Andreas more than GTA4.

First, I drove around the entire outside of the map thinking it would reveal the whole thing when you pause. When that didn't do it I went and jacked a plane and flew around the whole map. It was working.

Then I flew over a military base that I didn't know was there. FYI, they still don't like it when you fly over their base.

This game is ridiculous.

BTW: Flying over the map like that was working great, and the more time you spend flying the better your guy gets at it. Not a bad way to explore the whole map if anyone is looking to do so.
Where did you jack a plane? I looked in the desert but the airport was empty.
The main airport is at the southwestern end of the city at the bottom of the map. Sorry, I don't have the map in front of me right now so I can't tell you by name. Like the rest of the map, it won't show up until you go to it, but once you get near the airport you'll probably recognize it. Once you get to the runways you have to search around a little bit for a jet you can take. The big planes don't appear to be jackable, but there are a few private jets scattered around that you can take.

That airport out in the desert is kind of cool. It's the same one that you could own in San Andreas, but a little more rundown all these years later. Still, it's familiar. I'm guessing there are several instances of this throughout the game since we're back to Los Santos almost 20 years after the San Andreas version.
Cool. Thanks. I know which one you're talking about. I didn't know if it would be possible to get out there and get one so I went to the small one. I only had 2 hours to play last night, so I was very limited in what I could try for.

I think I'm going to wait for the PC version. The graphics are always 10x better and the mods/updates are better.

It might be a few months before it comes out but I bought a $1,200 gaming rig for a reason. Don't see the need to go buy a PS3 just for this game.

Also, how do you swim underwater?

I can't seem to figure out how to go under the water. I drove a bus off the pier and started underwater. But once I surfaced, I was stuck up above it. It was nearing my bedtime and I didn't want to devote too much time to trying to figure out how to swim.

I tried to steel a 747. I could it and throttle it up, but the puny little parking wedge/blocks held me in place. Then the cops blew me up via helcopter (I assume). I am going back to try again tonight.

Also, there is a blimp. I was going to drive around last night and see if it ever landed but I ran out of time. Blimp jacking, fun!~@

Again, I could be wrong, but I thought the initial reports were that there were no plans to make a PC version. I could just be reporting false rumors I've heard though. So. There's that.

I read somewhere that there is coding for the PS4 and PC embedded in the game. I am also waiting for the PC version because of all the fantastic mods that come out for the GTA games.

It probably goes without saying but I forgot to warn you: You will be under attack as soon as you hit the runway looking for the planes. Police cars and helicopters show up right away. I just stayed in my car until I could up close to a jet that was already in a position to hit the throttle and take off. Worked great the first time. Second time I tried they took out an engine before I got off the ground. Short flight.

They just went right in your face this time (literally!) No hot coffee controversy in 2013, that's for sure.

Anyone on this? I'm sure it's something easy, but I am not a smart man.

How many of you guys actually get all the way through the single player story line. I've played GTAIII, Vice City and GTA IV. I love them all, but I havent finished a single one of them. I make it about 75% of the way through and then just spend my time wandering the city.

I was gonna wait also, but I found a 360 on CL for $100.00 and figured WTF it's only money. I'll make more.

I finished the story line missions in Vice City and SA (I haven't played much of III or IV) but have never been able to get 100%

The efin RC plane challenge in SA kept me from getting there.

You can download the manual on to your smartphone (in real life, not in the game...well, maybe in the game but that's not what I'm talking about.)

I can't connect to itunes from work, otherwise I'd dl it and tell you the answer.

I've already beaten the game. Weak.
Really? Is the percentage the give you when you save the percentage for the WHOLE game (golding all the missions) or just for the story mode. If it's the former I'm probably close too... I don't want it to end :(
Golded all the missions, finished every map, collected all the stars, all weapons upgrades earned, collected all the video tapes....

There's a GTA V kill screen coming up if anyone is interested.

I finished GTA3 and GTA4. I got stuck someplace in Vice City, but I can't remember where or why.

Only thing that really bothers me is the fact that Rockstar doesnt have the same Police/Ambulance missions like they used to have. Those were so much fun and way more than just a regular side mission, they were one of the essential parts of the game for me. Wish they bring these things back in DLC updates.

San Andreas is the only one I've ever finished the full story. Definitely didn't get 100% of all of the optional things though.

I would always do the Ambulance and Taxi missions right away it help memorize the city.

Finished GTA III but didn't get near 100%, finish Vice City, 100% multiple times, finished San Andrea and got close to 100% but I had more fun using cheat codes and flying around with the jet pack, and GTA IV I only played the main story line, finished that, and really just have not had any interest to get back into that game at all.

I decided to be a good Samaritan and earn honest money while being a cabdriver (I had to shoot the driver though because every time i tried to jack the cab my moron would get in the backseat like a passenger lol)

I take this black dude like really really far on my first taxi job, and may I add I drove flawlessly, never hitting any other cars or people. I was expecting not just a nice fare but a decent tip considering the length and manner in which i delivered this dude. As soon as I get this guy there he bolts from the cab and yells "got no money." So much for doing good, I had to chase this guy a few blocks and he only stopped when I busted a cap in his ###. Made 160 bucks though after nailing him, well worth my time and effort!

I think the closest I ever came to winning one of these games was the original GTA. Not GTAIII, but GTA. All the other one's, I don't come any where near completing. I'm not very good at games. I beat RDR and that's why I have a glimmer of hope that maybe I can do the same here. But I doubt it.

Completed GTAIII (on my phone last week, actually) and San Andreas. Lost interest after a while in Vice City and GTAIV. Don't think I'll lose interest with GTAV.

I don't have a console and don't want one - I too heard that they were NOT coming out with a PC version - if anyone hears differently let us know.

I've never lost interest in any of them. But at some point in each game it was more fun to just explore the City, goof off and cause a panic than it was to continue the story. Maybe GTA V will be different.

I think that's how I'm going to start off, and then eventually get into the main missions. First goofing off/exploring, then side missions, then slowly mix in the main storyline.

This is my plan, as well.
