OK, the stunt jumps suck. Or maybe I suck for trying to do all 50.

The "landing zone" in previous GTA's were always pretty ambitious. You had to catch some "sick air" to get it, sometimes requiring a huge run-up and a sportbike.

Now, sometimes the landing zones are completely unambitious. The jump in West Vinewood off the driveway is a perfect example. You can almost make it to the golf course if you hit it right, but the landing zone is a block closer to the hill you're going off of.

Also, Franklin's special skill is very helpful for these.
I have no idea what I'm doing wrong with the Los Santos Airport jump (the huge ramp). I land, I do tricks...FAILED.

90% of the time, I find that I'm overshooting. Get a ####tier car.

Failing that, find a YouTube video.

The one facing the parking garage, you have to make a smooth landing on the top of the parking garage. You want to completely clear the edge of the roof. Don't try to land right on the ramp at the top of the garage... I was trying that continually and failed every time, but when I overshot it and landed completely on the roof past it was when I got the success. I was using a fast car and I used the express off-ramp to get a full run at it.

The one on the other side, I'm not sure if you're supposed to land on the expressway, or jump over it.

Ok, so I finally did the 4th assassination mission last night. All characters have about $100,000,000 in the bank. I can see now that once I do the 5th I will have enough to buy the golf course and a few other pieces of property that I haven't grabbed yet.

On my possible glitch mentioned above where Franklin could not buy the heli pad - it turns out that it was a time of day thing. I went there yesterday during normal business hours in the game and bought it with no problem. Interesting little thing there I guess.

I did a few parachutte missions. Not really my cup of tea. Bought the hangar and stole a jet and flew all over the place way too low and way too high depending. Flying is cool. Whole map open now.

To the best of my knowledge, I have not done any salvage missions yet, I only did one bail bonds mission, I have only found a hnadful of sub pieces, probably still have 90% of the parachutte stuff left to do and 3 road races left to do. Beyond the occasional defense of a property, what is there to do once you have completed all the "missions?"

Oh, one more thing - Barry called Franklin and told him to join him in a smoke in a city hall. I didn't go right away. I probably got there about 24 hours later in game time. When I got there, Barry wasn't there and said he overslept. Did I miss the mission or is that what was supposed to happen?

The same thing happened to me, and I was there on time.

Yup. I think that ended that horrific Barry storyline.

Ok, so, on the little people that get robbed throughout the game - do you keep the money or give it back? I was giving it back the first 5 or 6 times but last night I was thinking..... why? Doesn't do anything to my guy either way.

So I kep the money on the first one that came up. Couple grand. Nice. On the second one, I returned it but the guy gave me like a $10 tip, so when he walked away I pulled out my fully loaded combat pistol and introduced to the back of his head. But what annoys me is that I robbed him as he lay there (obviously) and what I took wasn't what I just gave him back. It was like far far less. WTF with that? I wanted the whole stash of cash there.

Sometimes they'll wire you 100g to your bank account for giving them the money back.

So, doing all the side missions still. Franklin's are rather dull in the sense that I am doing them and having fun, but they don't rise to the level of humor that the main story line did.

Trevor's on the other hand is gold. All of them.

Still enjoying this immensly but I do have a question for the guys that have a billion dollars................. how? Did you just do all the assassinations after the story or did I miss something? Even when I was playing the market for a few days without doing anything else I was only making like tens of thousands tops, not 6 or 7 figures. I'm stumped on this.
Stock market.

The assassination missions are an opportunity for huge money. I haven't even done most of them, but I increased my money by 7x on one of them. Buy the stock he says before the kill. Don't reload any saves until you've sold off at about 80% increase... if you reload a save it will max out at 50% even if it was above that when you made your save. Then put everything back into the stock that you killed off and wait for it climb back up.

Beyond that, it's still the stock market where I made most of my cash. LifeInvader is so cheap that even small fluctuations in price can bring you a big gain. I've turned 25% profit with LifeInvader by buying, doing a mission or two, and selling. Any time I logged out then I put most all my money in Pisswasser, and Hawk and Little since BAWSAQ will keep increasing while I'm offline. They were going up like 10% per day. I haven't been doing the stock market in a long time now though as I started getting close to hitting the max money bug.

For seed money, the hidden packages are very helpful. There's a blue dot mission driving a guy to the airport that gives you a stock tip that will give you 50% gain. Trevor hitting all 3 blue dot missions that let him take people to the cult gives you a nice bit of cash after the third one, I didn't keep track but it was probably $125k maybe? Returning a guy's stolen bike somewhere in the southeast part of town will net you a bunch of shares of free stock that I think I cashed in for $100k. Also the submarine/nuclear waste missions are decent money. Trevor's arms running in the airplane are generally pretty quick, I imagine they are probably one of the better repeatable money making missions.

I would say don't buy any properties early on. Maybe get Smoke on the Water and the submarine dock, but I'd leave the rest until I had a lot of money. It takes some of the properties 100 in game weeks just to break even. Far better to have that money available for the stock market.
how does the car manufacturer assination work with stocks? The one where you kill the guy as he's picking up a call girl? What is the competitor company? Or is this one where you wait for the crash, them buy low and watch it climb back?

Yes, I think it's by location. There are a couple of places that have a single occurrence blue dot where you can get the big score. There are other locations that recur throughout the game and they never give you more than a tip. So once you know somewhere gives a tiny tip, just keep the cash if you hit it at that location again. Otherwise, always return it as one big payout is probably worth more than all the others combined.

I haven't done all of the assassinations as the investment gains from them will put me over the $2.1 billion mark and hit the bug where your money goes negative. But there's a page on the GTA wiki that gives the list at http://www.ign.com/wikis/gta-5/Assassination_Investor

5 - The Vice Assassination

In this assassination you are damaging the shares of Facade in order to raise the shares of Fruit. The guides that I have seen have often missed a crucial step in this assassination: invest in Facade as it rebounds.

Invest BEFORE misiion: [FRT] Fruit (BAWSAQ)

Sell AFTER misiion: [FRT] Fruit (BAWSAQ) at 50% return

Buy AFTER : [FAC] Facade (BAWSAQ)

Sell AFTER rebound: [FAC] Facade (BAWSAQ) at 30% return

This step is the difference between making around $1.5B and $2.1B, so make sure you don't forget it. Once again Facade may take some time to rebound so just keep sleeping until it hits the peak.

Some of these launcher videos are absolutely hilarious. No telling how long it took some of these to setup and get right.

Sometimes. It depends on who I'm playing as. Trevor keeps the money. Michael always gives back. And it depends on Franklin's mood whether he gives or keeps it. (usually I have Franklin give it back).

I finished this thing a couple of days ago (main story). What's left to do now? I think the only one I know is remaining is the Dom on top of Maze bank challenge... Is online all that remains?

Uni, me, and dainty tried to do the mission where you kill people on top of the building. The fact that helis don't spawn on that one with any regularity is a real PITA.

Well ####. You can kill the Merryweather pilot that comes in on support for 1k and go.
Not sure if I have that enabled yet..

Got an invite last night to an online mission that required level 65 to host. Had to take out a whole jury within a specified timeframe, spread out all over the map and some with police protection. Wasn't able to complete it with randoms but it was pretty damn fun.

Ok, so I figured out how they did the F-15 in the tunnel video with so many F-15s at once. If you start a deathmatch with a player you have a 5 minute window to be "star-proof". This gives you enough time to get in the airfield and get F-15s and get out (tanks as well).

Played that one last night before bed and wasn't able to finish it. Got blasted by a cop going after a juror in a store... then the guy I was rollin with was trying to sticky bomb the safe in the back of the store and got capped, "Oh... I forgot we were on a mission". Fun mission, chopper is mandatory for it though.

Yea, you have to call one in. But there are apparently construction ramps that will go all the way up to the top

Cheers to SmokedSalm0n last night who entered from the open lobby to get Uni and me the Survivor achivement. JTG ran off the map in level 8 and missed out , oops.

We really need Gally to promote a few of us to lt so we can invite some more peeps. You get more RP doing stuff with your crew present.

I want to try that again.

As for the runoff, a yellow dot popped up on the screen right before it booted me. I was climbing on the freight containers. Wasn't that far away from the area, I thought.

Yeah that spot behind the trailer is money. After you got off we ran through another 10 waves later in the night.. it's an easy 20k.

May just be easier to start a new "crew" if they guy doesn't come back. I've yet to join one, probably missing out on a lot of XP or whatever.

Yeah, if you noticed when we had crew people in I was getting loads more xp than you on the same missions.

STarted a new single player last night. This time I am going to do everything but the main story as best I can because you need to advance the main story somewhat to get everything opened. Also going to focus on stock market a lot more and getting cash anyway I can, robbing cheating stealing and trying to make a ton so that I can buy everything much much faster and enjoy the income for doing nothing. We will see. Gonna use the main save game as my, just let out some stress and kill everyone game from here on out I think.

Hey Weekend Warrior Marino, Tre, Bones, and any other Ps3 people -

My headset came in the mail and the family is out this evening, so I'll be on around 6ish, maybe earlier. Let's kill stuff and blow up people.

Do you guys have any luck calling the strippers? Nikki has had a UTI for like the past 3 weeks. Jeez, just tell the dudes you're not feeling it anymore, no need to keep making excuses. Unbelievable.

This game is unreal. :lmao:

Anyone get the side-piece who lives by the lighthouse? Picked her up randomly in the backwaters, gave her a ride home and then got to bang her. She's wacky. Ursula.

Just a note, I picked her up randomly hitchhiking, and took her back to the lighthouse. The GTA wikia says to look north of the Alamo Sea.

Finished all 50 jumps. So there's that.

1) Use Franklin.

2) Ride an 801.

3) Use his special skill as much as possible.

4) You get can extra distance if you backflip while jumping. Sometimes extra distance isn't a good thing, but it's pretty sweet.

I'd like to join up with the PS3 online crew if there's room. I've never really played anything online but I just got a headset and would like to give this a shot. I might be able to bring a couple more guys in next week when they get back from vacation if more are needed/desired. I started an online character about a week ago and just did the first race and a mission or two to try to get the hang of it but I was pretty lost. I'll catch on quick though once I see how it's done.

Is it easiest for me to just find the crew on the Rockstar page and ask for an invite or is there information I should post here so people can find me? I'll try to get on tonight or sometime tomorrow.
