***OFFICIAL*** Guys Jeans Thread (1 Viewer)

Otis

Footballguy
I'll preface this with, yes, this is slightly gay.

An iGB recently suggested that we could use a good thread on cool guys' jeans.

For guys on the market for a new pair of jeans, what are some cool jeans that folks are wearing these days?

A few potential designer jeans suggestions that were forwarded to me by my iGB:

True Religion Jeans

Diesel Jeans

7 For All Mankind Jeans

Levi's Jeans

I will say the following -- jeans are tough. They are hit-and-miss and, in my opinion, the most important part of the wardrobe. It's the easiest way to make the statement that you have some idea about what's going on without looking like you are trying too hard.

For the record, my current favorite pair of jeans are a pair from Ralph Lauren -- they are a lightish/worn color, baggy but not overly so -- I picked them up at Macy's last year, and they ran me about 60 bucks. A girl I recently hung out with swore they were really expensive designer jeans. She thought they looked awesome and were super expensive.

Bottom line? She noticed, and she liked that Otis was wearing cool looking jeans.

So, in the spirit of turning this thread around from mildly gay to "hey, if this is about impressing the wimmens, it's cool," whatcha got?

These look like the Ralph Lauren jeans I've been sportin, although mine are a little more baggy in the thighs, slightly more worn looking, and were much less expensive.

Also, what's the most you'll spend on jeans? I think it's pretty gay to spend $100 or $200 on jeans. Girls can do this and it's ok. Men should not do this.

I'll probably spend up to 80 bucks for the right pair of jeans.

And there's no way I'm spending less than 40 bucks. If you buy jeans at the likes of the Gap or Old Navy, you're in fashion hell. Prognosis: style-less. I'm sorry for your loss.

I have a few that where 180.00. Then a couple that where 100.00 :lmao: Since Metro is out, what is it now?

Diesel is where it's at.

Sadly, they make them for pretty thin dudes.. and while i'm not fat.. i'm certainly not thin.

So I pretty well stick with lower grade stuff like Express or banana republic

You guys seriously spend over $100 on a pair of jeans?

Wow.

I won't go Wal-Mart jean cheap, but I'll usually get jeans from Old Navy, Gap, or American Eagle that range between $20 and $40.

I don't dig the pockets and I had a women at a store that sold them tell me to never buy them because they fall apart easy. AG's are made by Adriano Goldshmeid the original denim designer for Diesel. They are also made in the USA. The ones that are "on" are money. I spend a lot of kibbee on my Jeans but it pays out in dividends. Call me gay, call me whatever you'd like. The bottom line is they feel awesome, look great, accentuate the package, and hot chicks notice them. I would never go back.
:D :X Thank you Finless

Those all look good until after the 5th wash. I would rather go Levis. At least you know they are not going to fall apart.

Exactly...they are freakin jeans.Do we need "cool" jeans? What makes them "cool"? Because some celebrity wears them?I like my Old Navy jeans...because they fit right, are comfortable, and were pretty cheap. Who gives a damn what others think of them.

I only wear Lucky Jeans and will probably never wear a different brand in my life.
They that good? I have some Lucky t-shirts, but the jeans never did it for me.Jeans need to be a little worn looking, they need to be baggy and straight down the leg, long enough, and boot cut.I know what the good jeans are supposed to look like, but sometimes not so easy to find.

That might be the most idiotic thing I have ever heard. What is "fashion hell" about it?Because someone in Hollywood told you it was not cool to have Old Navy or Gap jeans?

No, what makes them cool is NOT that celebs wear them. And the label does NOT matter. What matters is that they have the cool "fit" and cool "look." Period. And in my experience, the Gap and Old Navy and the like simply don't make cool jeans. Period.

XScroll up to me previous post. It's not about Hollywood at all. It's about having some sense of what looks cool.

Who tells you what is cool?I think I look just fine in my Old Navy jeans. I don't do it because somebody I don't know told me it was not "cool".

Why not? it's all relative right? The average pair of jeans I buy I would say is $200. A lot for $160ish and some for as much as $240. I'm not gay. It's not gay. They feel comfortable, sturdy, fit nice, and broads like'em. Did I mention the package? I'm disappointed Otis.
Holy ####. You seriously spend that much money on jeans?

Sho-nuff I know nothing about you or how you're built. Go out and try on a good fitting pair of designer jeans...you'll notice the difference. I didn't think I'd think that way necessarily but after grabbing a pair or 2 there was clearly no going back. For the record I've never noticed what kind of Jeans celebrities wear. I had a pair of old navy Jeans....they are garbage.I was going to start this thread a month ago...I was anticipating some heat.
And, for the record, I was PM'd and asked to start this thread. The poster suggested that I might better weather the storm in response.BRING IT, #####ES.

$40,000 engagement ring?

Question: What do your $200 jeans have on my $60 perfectly fitting and cool as #### Ralph Lauren jeans from Macy's?

Now if you had enough funds to by a ring at that cost, you would be wearing 200.00 jeans also....

Why would I care about any difference. I am very comfortable in my Old Navy Jeans. I wear them basically only on Fridays and some weekends in the winter. I have about 3 pair and they have all been very durable. So what is the point of trying out new jeans...will the comfort be worth 2-3 times the price. Not to me...as I am very comfortable in mine....unless I can get a ####### built in...not worth it.

If I go to a Packer game I wear my Favre jersey...or around the house on game day. Otherwise...no.

I think we may need to distinguish between married guys, who just want "comfortable" jeans, and the rest of us, who are trying to meet hot chicks. This is a pretty important distinction. I may need to retitle the thread.

I use to waer Ralph Lauren jeans, then tried on some other and find there is better out there. After wearing ernie's and chip and pepper. I realizied that the Ralph didn't fit as good.

I'll be at the Pack Oct 14th. So why do you wear that jersey? Favre is a celeb? right. Would it not be cool to wear a number 4 Packers jersey with sho nuff

I wear it because it is comfortable. Because I have been wearing it to games or on game days since 1993.And no, I don't think its cool to have a jersey with your own name on it. My own personal preference. When he retires...that jersey retires. Probably get a Mandarich jersey just for fun.

To wear designer jeans, don't care what celebs wear.....

BS.If you're in a dim-litted bar trying to pick up a girl, your jeans are one of the LAST things she'll notice. She'll notice what you say (your game), your smile, your face in general, your body, your OVERALL style, and she'll be focusing more on your shirt than your jeans. And plus, no one tucks in their shirt these days. That covers up that much more of your fancy jeans.

Shoot, I am really considering a pair of the True Religion jeans. I would kill if they fell apart after spending so much on them. Recently I've seen a few pairs of these walking around and they are good looking jeans. You don't like the pockets? I thought the pockets were pretty cool. I'm a neophyte in designer jeans though. For most of my young adult life I've never really gone out to a store to buy jeans. I do a lot of my clothing shopping online because it's easy and I generally wore the same style. Now that I think I might dabble a bit in fashion I might have to change this policy. Especially if I am going to spend that much money on jeans.
