***Official*** Holy Grail Redux WW Game Thread (1 Viewer)

I'd like to take a few minutes to tell a story here.

Everybody good with that?

I mean, we have this captive audience and all.

There was a game years ago. It was the Green Mile iirc. We got to endgame, there were 4 of us, and jamy and I were all but confirmed. jamy was a GGRP, I was an obvious GG (a REAL obvious GG. Not the Hodor variety), and then there was IB and Bender (Ghost of Common at the time). It was either Bender's first or second game. And when we got down to it, jamy proxied to me. IB voted Bender. Bender voted IB. I went back and read. EVERYBODY in the Green Room was sure I was going to get it right. Not because they had that much confidence in me, but because Bender was the BG and people were certain I'd be willing to lose to IB if it came down to it, but that I would not want to lose to the noob.

When I went back and looked through posts, there was not that much that stood out to me about either. Except that IB had a list from like D5 that caught my eye. It was a list of BGs. 4 of them. He went 4 for 4. And the last one on the list was snow. IB hadn't mentioned snow once the entire game, and that made me certain he had just made a list of 4 of his BG teammates. What I didn't know was that snow and IB had had drinks IRL the night before, IB asked about the game, and the look on snow's face basically told IB he was a BG. To his credit, he never mentioned it here. But it's what made me vote for him, and we lost the game.

The fact that I could lose to the noob or a vet never entered my mind, fwiw. I just wanted to make the right decision either way. I just find the parallels here interesting.

That's all.

Lynch Report

FATHER: Guards! Make sure the Prince doesn't leave this room until I come and get 'im.
GUARD #1: Not to leave the room even if you come and get him.
GUARD #2: Hic!
FATHER: No, no. Until I come and get 'im.
GUARD #1: Until you come and get him, we're not to enter the room.
FATHER: No, no, no. You stay in the room and make sure 'e doesn't leave.
GUARD #1: And you'll come and get him.
GUARD #2: Hic!
FATHER: Right.
GUARD #1: We don't need to do anything, apart from just stop him entering the room.
FATHER: No, no. Leaving the room.
GUARD #1: Leaving the room, yes.
FATHER: All right?
GUARD #1: Right. Oh, if-if-if, uh, if-if-if, uh, if-if-if we...
FATHER: Yes, what is it?
GUARD #1: Oh, if-if, oh--
FATHER: Look, it's quite simple.
GUARD #1: Uh...
FATHER: You just stay here, and make sure 'e doesn't leave the room. All right?
GUARD #2: Hic!
FATHER: Right.
GUARD #1: Oh, I remember. Uh, can he leave the room with us?
FATHER: N- No no no. You just keep him in here, and make sure--
GUARD #1: Oh, yes, we'll keep him in here, obviously. But if he had to leave and we were--
FATHER: No, no, just keep him in here--
GUARD #1: Until you, or anyone else,--
FATHER: No, not anyone else, just me--
GUARD #1: Just you.
GUARD #2: Hic!
FATHER: Get back.
GUARD #1: Get back.
FATHER: Right?
GUARD #1: Right, we'll stay here until you get back.
FATHER: And, uh, make sure he doesn't leave.
GUARD #1: What?
FATHER: Make sure 'e doesn't leave.
GUARD #1: The Prince?
FATHER: Yes, make sure 'e doesn't leave.
GUARD #1: Oh, yes, of course. I thought you meant him. Y'know, it seemed a bit daft, me havin' to guard him when he's a guard.
FATHER: Is that clear?
GUARD #2: Hic!
GUARD #1: Oh, quite clear, no problems.
FATHER: Right.
[starts to leave]
Where are you going?
GUARD #1: We're coming with you.
FATHER: No no, I want you to stay 'ere and make sure 'e doesn't leave.
GUARD #1: Oh, I see. Right.
HERBERT: But, Father!
FATHER: Shut your noise, you! And get that suit on! And no singing!
GUARD #2: Hic!
FATHER: Oh, go get a glass of water.

I was just screwing with you a little bit with the story. Though it did play out that way.

Sent permanently for a glass of water is Hodor - Rabbit of Caerbannog, BGRP.

GG win!! Norm wins!!

GG all! Thanks Bobby and nysfl and anyone else that helped along the way.

Apropos:

:tebow: NORM :tebow:

**Good effort Brent, you made the right plays to try and bring it home. These new guys are tough though! Was happy I got to shtick it up imo.

**If you haven't yet done so...

:lmao:

Please read the BG board "Fakes" thread. There's some other gold sprinkled about, but that one has most of it.

:lmao:

Uh, have you seen Brent's musical tributes, Hags? There's more than just the Fakes thread at this point. Always Look On the Bright Side of Life is :monybag:

Thanks for the game, Sac. This is a good way to go into my next hiatus rather than getting lynched D3 and never bothering to check the green room.

:lmao: GG Guys!!!! Especially NORM.

I literally laughed out loud when Witz bumped my schtick post about Eifel Tower with Hodor.

I had no idea who was good or bad the entire game until I was in the green room.

I love when schtick gets analyzed :lmao:

Almost got me a Win Hodor!!!! :kicksrock:

Good times.

Hands down, the best reads ever by Norm.

I've seen play that perhaps rivals his (ratpfinks original 3-wham ratgames as the angel comes to mind), but never in the history of the warwoofs have I ever seen a list so freaking accurate.

- calls out EG for his list post, then says Witz or myself should go next. (cause of Norm list)

D8
- Votes GG Me solely based on Norms list. ALARM ALARM ALARM
- Suddenly decides to join the runup of GG Zed, helps lynch him

D9
- claims pj with not much heat. Nothing else.
Norms list!!!! No one listened but Hodor!!!!

Acer does deserve a little love, too. 3 for 3 on BG views. If it hadn't been for rascal's role, he probably makes a nice dent in them on his own.
