There were a couple of guys who lost their cool after the craziest end to a season anyone has probably seen. What a bunch of animals!

It all blew over after about 20 seconds. I'm sure they will be the first to apologize this morning.

Seen people on a fake football message board act way worse when they lose 30 bucks for 3rd place in their 8 team league on a bad call.

Yeah that's dumb. But oh the horror, think of the children watching. How will they recover today after seeing a man acting like he pooped. I personally prefer my players to write a thank you note in calligraphy and fine stationary.

Maybe it was an egg? Paying tribute to reptiles or something? Maybe he was pretending to be a Seahawk, and the egg symbolized the re-birth of their team? Just think assuming it is poop is jumping to conclusions.

Most of them aren't seattle fans, just bandwagoners. There's probably only about 1000 real seattle fans that followed this trainwreck of a franchise since day one, the other several million gave up at some point during the 80's or 90's or 2000's after putting the head bags away.

Speaking of emotions, hate is secondary emotion. You can't get to hate unless you first experience something else. Tell us about your initial emotions that led to this hate. Embarrassment? Jealousy? Shame? Fill us in on the details.

In only their third and fourth seasons they posted a 9-7 record. Mediocre, I know, but in 1983 the shocked the football world by upsetting the heavily favored Dolphins and a young Dan Marino. This lead to playoff births in four of six seasons led by "ground" Chuck Knox. When the 1984 season started Vegas had Seattle as the favorite to win the Super Bowl. A knee injury to Curt Warner killed their season in the first week, but they still managed a 12-4 record led by Kenny Easley (defensive MVP of the league). How does this fit your "crappy expansion team with low expectations" story?

Not going to go there. The Mariners have been awful for a long time. Sure, they've had a few outlier winning seasons, but not many.

I'm not happy they built Safeco. There were several ballots on the issue. Voted down every time, but our state government built it anyway. Pretty sure Nintendo could have built one themselves if they wanted to do it. Our quality of life here is great. We don't need a baseball team to make it better. Agree to disagree. Personally, love having a beer outside, going to a game in the summer even when M's are horrible. City / State spends money on all kinds of stupid stuff. Wasn't the vote something like 51-49% against? People also voted for that ridiculous tunnel. Sometimes we need a little "help" with our decision making.Nintendo also paid for something like 25% of the construction IIRC.

M's at least bring in millions of people to downtown each summer to spend some money.

Agree Seattle quality of life is really good.
