Oh, I agree there. I also think that it was the height of political stupidity to jump on that bandwagon without checking the place out first. That Fund ended up causing offenders to be freed and reoffend, which is pretty awful.
Well that is more a problem with our justice system than this fund. People are afforded the right to bail. Often times yes...they offend again.
Yes. It does. But the system is set up on the assumption that the person being set free has some skin in the game re: the bail. When somebody just shows up to bail them out and pays the bill without even knowing what they did that gets bypassed.

Not really. I'm talking about a politician investing themselves in bailing out convicted criminals. Not just protestors that got hauled off, but completely unrelated, really bad folks that this fund indiscriminately released back into civil society. That's a bad idea and Kamala deserves every bit of blowback she gets for it.
Can't wait for her impeachment hearings to start. Just went to costco and loaded up on microwave popcorn.
