Did Rhyner (i know he is dead) get a divorce? Heard rumors.
I think Joe T mentioned this a while ago, but I've never heard anything about it.
I heard he was getting one. A friend of mine that used to work for those apartments called Southside at Lamar said Rhyner moved in there not too long ago and either said or listed it in the paperwork that he was getting a divorce.

Very interesting.

That wasn't a bigbottom song they played this morning was it?
What did they play? Since my commute is like 3.5 minutes, all I usually get is commercials.
Shady, and bellicheat. I'm assuming he'll put it on gordonkeith.com at some point. It sure sounded like him though.
I don't remember bigbottom posting anything like that here, but I may have missed it.
This song? Not biggie.

All-day Cowboy JO session tomorrow. Should be good listenin' for awhile.
They'll stop down for about a minute an hour to tee off on Roy though. And Flozell. With a crappy or average QB those two would have lost the game for us.

Maybe somebody might mention how it possibly, maybe, might not have been a good idea to start a dude with a bad hand at WR (one drop TD and one volleyball set for INT).

wow...don't know how I missed this one for a year
Welcome. To make up for lost time, state your college allegiance, plan a local cornhole that will never happen, and tell us your ideal Ticket line-up five years from now.
Shouldn't most of the current crew have died of AIDS by now? It's going to be tough to figure out who's going to be left in five years.Oh, and Texas Longhorns, and I'm planning an Austin Tickethead cornhole that will never happen.

Congrats to The Little Ticket on finally landing the Marconi Award for Sports Station of the Year. I know its been shtick for these guys for some time, but Im sure they are glad to finally get one. Would have loved to have heard Cat's acceptance speech.

While they did not invent the genre, I would think they perfected since every consultant is trying to recreate the little ticket everywhere else."We can do what they can do, but they cant do what we can do "

The simple truth is there isn't enough talent out there to do 14 hours of programming in 4 shows and have seamless transition between them as well as cross-show banter and the other stuff. There are better individual shows out there than all of the shows, but taken as a whole I can't imagine top to bottom a better station overall. I think Hammer is actually getting a little better. Maybe it's there is more content now that football is around so it covers him up some, but jesus I am going to drive into a tree if I hear corby talking college football more. :excited: Easily the worst aspect going of the day/week right now.

I like Corby and think he's funny, but his "I went to TCU ..." pseudo-, but not really, elitist personality really annoys me at times. He thinks he's really, really cool.

The problem with people who think they are really cool is that they give a bad name to those of us who are really cool :pokey:I think they have it nailed when they call him the college football blowhard. I wonder if they will break the no college discussion on Mondays for some torturing of the snake today

So, in 15 years, does Tony Romo have the afternoon drive slot on 1310?
Why would he want it, he is about to get a huge contract from JerryIt will be hard to chase singers if he has a steady job thta he needs to show for all year long

Nope. He'll take over Troy's spot as the best color man on TV.
I think he may have football in his blood more than Troy. I could see him being a D-I college head coach somewhere really cush, like USC or Hawaii. He will be a god there and stay forever, banging coeds left and right.

I have to disagree here, I think the worst thing going each week is Cowboy Phoneage. I had to punch out on the way home tonight as the third no opinion/all shtick guy called and just rambles. How Danny lets these guys on is beyond me, unless he just gets a kick out of kicking everyone in the nuts.I still find Corby enjoyable, but I do get a little sick of the Corby/Junior OU circle jerk, while neither of them even went there. They should be required to root for TCU and UNT and those schools only, and be glad they went to a school with football.

:UTArlingtonGrad:

They so rarely take calls that they just invite schtick. It's a self-perpetuating organism.

I also don't think that either one of those guys is knowledgeable enough about sports (save Ranger baseball) to handle phoners hitting them from all sides.

I am over the nip schtick.

It's funny when it is hit & run

the machine gun is over kill

Normally Grubbs is genius (like Norm naming balls yesterday) but he has a tendecy to drive stuff into the ground

Do you actually put UTA on your resume?

IF you guys think Danny isn't putting through the most wheels off callers he can you are kidding yourselves.

Phonage is hard now. Nobody wants to debate how good this team is. More fun when the team blows. They need college phonage to dilute the corby element. Dude was horrible yesterday. Can't imagine how it will be in about an hour.

Corby will take his beating well. He deserves it since he aligns himself witha school he never attended

"I was talkin to Craig on the phone when OU was up by seven telling him, 'Dude, we are going to lose this game. We are so going to lose it.'"College football Corby is the biggest ##### going. I miss the Snake.

Dear Mr Catlin

No one cares about the press conferences. Please stop eliminating good airtime from our station with this meaningless crap. Most of us punch out during this time. The line goes down

Thanks

They should carry them on 1700 or whatever other AM station they have for the hardcore listeners.

College--no allegiance to name universities as I have graduated from sports powers FAMU, Lamar and work for/attend that UT-Arlington place.I will work on the cornhole and the future ticket line-up.

Does anyone find Bob/Dan the least bit listenable?
They have excellent segments, "Gay not Gay," Homer call of theWeek," Daily Donovan," but just to listen to them talk sports (or anything for that matter) is difficult. Way too many interuptions and rabbit trails.

I think Bob actually knows what he is talking about. Knowledgeable and brings a well rounded perspective to almost all sports.

The show seems to be one big ego stroke for Dan as half the time he does not seem to know wtf he is talking about and just wants to shoot the ####. His cockiness is a beatdown because have you seen this guy?
