***** Official KTCK/1310 AM "The Ticket" Thread ***** (3 Viewers)

Hi-Five swandive yesterday caused some issues around here. You'd think the guy could not target the road.
I took Monday off and we got stuck in that traffic. Saw the medical examiner leave and we were confused. Heard about it the next day and felt bad for being pissed. Didn't see any ... splat marks.

So the musers told us this morning who was to be the replacements for Drew Bledsoe on the BAD radio weekly show.....

Greg Ellis & Marco Rivera

Good to see the BAD radio curse is alive and well. Watch out Marco

Screw it all; I'm moving to Austin!

Really :(

The job market in my line of work has really slowed down and I had to accept a position in Austin. I'll likely get an apartment and commute for awhile but overall I think the move's gonna suck.

Guess I'll have to stalk K-Scott and hope that I can listen to streaming ticket at work.

may God have mercy on Rivera's soul.

And I shall miss Big D. We're considering transitioning our current residence into a rental property so that we can have a fall back position to move back one day. I think that in the long term the Dallas job market > Austin job market and once my industry begins growing again that this will once more be the place to be.

Good Luck in Austin. I really thought I had a job there. Now it looks like I might be moving back to the stinkhole that is Houston. Unless my wife gets a possible promotion, then I can be a stay-at-home Dad in Keller.Just sittin on my ###, while my wife brings home the cash. WrrrrWrrrrrrrr.

I'll be in Austin Tue-Thur what station and time is kscott on?
Same as the Hardline, I think.
Same station too? :bye:
KScott has found his way on a station with even less signal strength than the Ticket. I didn't know that was possible.
Agreed. Good luck getting "THE BIG 1530" after dark.
I had a great plan for listening to the ticket in Austin - stream the audio thru my PDA and connect a pair of external speakers to the headphone jack. That way I get the Ticket and don't have to worry about tying up the company bandwith, etc. No dice. Windows 5.0 for mobile devices can't open the Streamaudio window because it has > 10 frames. I'm going to get a firmware update tomorrow to see if this helps. This was a very disappointing discovery. I didn't purchase a PDA specifically to try streaming the Ticket but it was certainly a criteria that I used to help justify the purchase to myself. Anyone have other info on this? And when will the Little Ticket get on Satellite?

Radio for PDAs

This is spectacular. A website that is a clearing house for radio station audio streams customized for PDAs which currently can't open pop-up windows (I don't really know - this is according to the cust svc guy).

For you Dallasites out there I saw KLIF, 105.3 FM, Jack FM, and the Ticket. There are very likely more out therer but those are the ones that jumped out at me.

Still working on streaming Sirius on my PDA. I don't think this is going to happen because it requires a pop up window.

Hello in here. *crickets*

Anyway - to update us all on how to get the Ticket fix when outside of the diminutive broadcast range of the antenna atop the mother ship.

I travelled to Austin and then to Houston and at almost all times could successfully stream the Ticket from the above-noted website. I had a Monster FM gizmo plugged into the earpiece out so the signal was going from the PDA to the Monster modulator to the radio to me. There were also some other good stations like KROC in LA that I was able to hear.

Streaming SIRIUS is still a non-starter. There's a third party app out there but I can't make it go.

Did anybody else hear the FFA's own bigbottom on the little ticket this morning? Emmitt tribute song was featured on the O-deck.

Wonder who sent Gordo the link. I meant to but forgot. :bag:

You're gonna have to explain this in a bit more detail. What device are you using to get the stream?

PPC 6700 running WM 5.0. There's no onboard Sirius player. Someone wrote a 3rd party interface that is designed to get around the pop-up window problem but I have not been able to get it to work. Link

When I called SIRIUS support I went through three people who told me to go to the website and d/l Macromedia Flash player for the PC. None of them would listen when I told them I wasn't running XP - none of them knew what Windows Mobile was and there was no tech help available. Very frustrating.

I heard that but had no idea it was bigbottom. Funny song.
Great song, very funny, but no idea who bigbottom is.
you stay in the shark pool all day or what? i mean, who doesn't know who bigbottom is
The pool has been good to me. :bag:

As odd as it seems Norm and Gordon work well together.

Their visit to the Glenn Mitchell show was strangely compelling.

They just summed it up but it was entirely too fast :oCorby is hosting 10-12 though :lmao:
yeah, they went too fast, but radio gold is CobraSnake with his own show and Rhyner doing the afternoon tickers. Donovan is doing morning tickers so be ready for a "and Vlade will be happy with that" moment at 5:30. Gordo is afternoon drive yuck monkey, Norm and Greg are morning drive hosts with George being their yuck monkey. Dumb Danny is producing the Corby show, Flakeboy morning producer, Fernando afternoon drive time. That's all I can remember......

Anyone catch gordo on Anything you ever wanted to know? I caught the first 10 minutes and it was pretty awkward. He was pretty out of his element there and obviously a very late fill in. I think he knew better than to pre-announce it on the ticket today fearing the P1 spamming the phone lines and totally bogging the show down.
