I'm not that far from Gaithersburg, so if anyone wants I can drive over there and punch him in front of his wife and kids. :boxing:

Anyway, here are some pictures from episodes 6 & 7. Obviously, they are spoilers.

If you use the number/letter substitution for the recent picks section

"Recent Picks

8-4-10-1-3-7 2

3-6-18-7-2 15

11-23-18-4-7 25

4-5-7-10-4 10"

You get: "TOMAIRE IS FRENCH FOR YOUR MOM"

If you pronounce it like "tomaire" it sounds correct, but it should really be "ton mère" if you wanted to spell it correctly, but that's splitting hairs.

As JML already said, you get nonsense if you use the number/letter substitution for Hurley's numbers.
I don't think it's a real guy, but we appreciate the thought Hulk. Feel free to take a road trip and punch his PO Box though. :D

This one is particularly interesting. Notice anything?
I found the last picture pretty interesting....
 They look like brother and sister...
I believe it means we are going to see what happened to the tailenders after the crash.  The kids must have been killed/abducted by the others.
I believe they were kidnapped. When we saw the others feet last week, we also saw that teddy bear.

Also, WTF is Anna Lucia wearing a wedding ring for?

I had a thought, it is possible with the talk of possiblity of cloning on the island. Is it possible that the person who is killed is killed by their clone. So for example if Jack is killed by the Jack clone he would take his place on the Island. This already happened on Alias but not sure if JJ Abrams would try this idea again.

From an article about Maggie Grace in today's USA TODAY:

After tonight's episode, ABC's LOST goes on a two-week hiatus with reruns, but then Grace, 22, will get the spotlight when new episodes resume Nov. 9. In that show, her character, Shannon Rutherford, flashes back to the death of HER FATHER, DONALD, WHO APPEARED IN A SEASON PREMIERE HOSPITAL SCENE WITH MATTHEW FOX'S DR. JACK.
We kind of thought this, but the article confirms it.

The new TV Guide mentioned a couple of things to look for when the reruns play for the next two weeks. Neither are really spoilers. Both are found in the orientation video.1. There is a mouse embedded in the video. I Tivo slowmo'd this thing and couldn't find it.2. It asked the question "Could the man in the window (Hanso) be Locke's kidney-stealing "father"?Just something to talk about.....

Just because I wanted to get some discussion going again and maybe get the thread back on course.2) Very doubtful, if you look at the picture of Hanso LINK it is obviously not the actor LINK (seen in Roadhouse and other things) that played Locke's father.

OK, so I want to see if we can get some real discussion going.

What if Shannon is young enough that her visions of Walt tie into the whole why Others wanted Walt/Alex/Claire's baby/all the kids we saw walking by Jin/Echo? If they want children and there is some sort of Dharma experiment, then maybe Shannon is young enough that she sees the visions of Walt. I keep thinking of that Christoper Reeve movie (Village of the Damned)/Children of the Corn thing that the Others we have seen (not the feet passing by) are somehow controlled by some kids from the original Dharma experiment gone awry. It is kind of out there, but since Shannon/Boone/Walt (not sure about Jack's Dad and what caused that) are the ones who have experienced visions/psychic things, that got me thinking about them being the youngest survivors.

Just in case it comes up, I do think that they still wanted Claire's baby because Ethan came back for her and killed a survivor because he wanted her. I think that there aren't as many Others as we think and that is why they didn't just do a full scale assault to get Claire's baby and Walt, especially since they kind of had the protection of the cave setting.

More of this discussion is tied to some spoiler discussions so I will white it out.

I still don't think Shannon dies because the producers threw us off course last year by saying Artz would be back. There was some speculation that Boone might die, but I think that was just that because I remember seeing just as much or more speculation that Locke/Charlie/Sawyer were going to die.

If she does die, I wonder if the reason is that she is having these visions and someone, who kills her, knows what is going to happen to her, i.e. become one of those kids that even Echo was afraid of. Again, this is way out there, but in the spoilers pictures we have seen, it is pretty obvious that the tail-enders were ambushed to grab the kids. I figured that out just from the scene with Jin/Echo where none of the legs where the Adult Male Others we saw on the boat, so the pictures didn't spoil much for me.

Back on course? Um, I'm just reiterating what the TV guide said....I believe that is "on course".

My apologies, that sentence wasn't referring to your post at all. Just as an FYI, we did discuss #2 before back when the thread was spawning multiple pages a day. I just meant this thread has slowly been circling the drain of death with fewer and fewer posts, so I wanted to see if we could get some more discussion going. I just replied to yours as a setup to my other post above. Part of it is obviously the lack of new shows until November 9th, but I was hoping to start some interesting theories again.

No harm done.....On the first sentence of your spoiler, I think that "situation" has been confirmed....

The "others" are werepolarbears!
You have been watching too much Wallace and Gromit, haven't you? ;) The Others children must be pretty scary though for Echo (with Jin right there) to be that afraid of them. We saw their legs and it sure didn't seem like in a "fair" fight, Echo and Jin couldn't easily take them, so there must be something funky going on.

Who confirmed it? Has the director/producers or anyone actually involved with the show? With Boone, we knew the episode before, but I don't remember any confirmation of his death before the plane fell or anything about Artz. On Artz, I specifically saw an interview where he was mentioned as coming back for Season 2 and then boom.Call me skeptical, but keeping the secret on who dies seems like a big thing to this show. With as much misinformation as they have produced before, it wouldn't surprise me at all if this was not correct. Plus, we were supposed to have a key death at the end of Season 1 and it ended up being Artz who we just met. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this death was a little bit of a let down.

Now that the World Series is over can they skip next week's re-run?
Probably not. They're holding the new episodes for the fall sweeps. Also, can someone explain to me what the correct track for this thread since so many people have complained that it is off track? Thanks.

Some messageboards are saying that in the rerun episode last night, the symbol on the shark wasn't there.....anybody notice that?

Didn't watch it but those message boards are filled with people that say things that they missed among other wacky stuff. That logo wasn't the easiest thing to spot. Remember that screen shot that was sent around. You were looking at a still image and even then it wasn't that easy to make it out because it was so dark. I remember hearing about things that changed before when people saw reruns in Season 1, but I don't put much stock into it at all because it seemed like just as many people refuted the changes.Edit to Add: Man, it sure doesn't seem like we are going to get to page 70, ever!

I didn't watch last night, but I remember clearly seeing a symbol on the shark when I watched that episode originally...it stood out to me.

I saw it pretty easily as well after I heard about it and watched it again, but I definitely missed it the first time. I just could easily see some people missing it and posting on a message board that it wasn't there anymore. The same thing happened in Season 1 on the abc.com boards during the reruns. Not everyone has Brewdude laser vision. ;)

Spoiler

Some pictures of production currently underway.  Find out what Anna Lucia was before the crash.
Not really much of a spoiler for those who are spoiler afraid, like me, but having no Lost the past two weeks is driving me crazy. It does show what Anna's job was, but nothing else, so if you aren't completely against spoilers, it might get you through to next Wednesday. Also, Michelle Rodriguez isn't looking very good. I thought she was a bit cuter than in this picture. I think I know why, she isn't scowling and her hair is pull back.

Bump for two more days until a new show!During the Redskins game last night they showed the trailer for the "one of these survivors will die". I still don't think Shannon will bite it because that is what the rumors say and I hope that they leaked that to be misleading.Actually, I think the new blonde tail-ender girl (from Drew Carey/Titus) will die. I noticed that when they panned all of the main characters and said one of these people will die, they showed Jin at the end, but she was clearly right next to him. For everyone else it was an individual shot, so that made me think that that was their out. I think that they are showing Sawyer near death like Locke when he got shot last year, but in the end they will wimp out and pull an Arntz on us by killing someone we just met that gets an actual talking role. Then again I could be wrong, but who cares, no more reruns.

...pull an Arntz on us...
"Arzt".
My bad, I always thought there was an "n" in there. Maybe it was the way Hurley say, "Dude, you got some Arzt" on you. Still one of my favorite parts of the show. Oh well, I had to think while spelling it and figured I got it wrong, but didn't feel like looking it up.

No problem. I was just looking to blackdot the thread for later, and didn't have any original content to add other than to correct your spelling of a minor character.I should find a new shtick.

Minor and dead. Wow, I think that is the bottom of the barrel for correcting spelling mistackes pertaining to TV shows. I through you a bone and one grammatical one to boot. ;)

The first Skins game I've attended all year, and I miss a lost trailer? :wall: Eh, being there for that win was probably worth it. ;) Are we sure its a new episode this week? Have 3 Lost-less weeks already gone by?

It was only 3 weeks until the new one, so just 2 repeats squeezed in. It is definitely new this week based on abc.com.Also, thanks for inviting me to the game you bastich! ;)
