05/14 - Damon Lindelof [reveals]: Libby's got this mysterious backstory, of which we've only given you the tip of the iceberg. We know she's spent some time in the mental institution with Hurley, and the idea of killing her before she had an opportunity to explain how she got there... we have a master plan for how we're going to tell that story, but it's all posthumous. You'll start to learn Libby's moves through flashbacks over the course of the next season. So we're not done with Cynthia, but Libby is dead.

good point.I hate to bring it up again but if it was a circle why did they look for the hatch under the plane (i.e. the bottom of the question mark) and not in the middle of the circle?

Why would the hatch opening be in the middle of the drop mark? Obviously the hatch opening was currently covered, hence, it had to be under the plane.

But Echo was specifically looking for a question mark. Why would he stop looking because he found a circle?

There's probably a whole bunch more that happened, but, Lost being Lost, they only showed us the parts that the directors thought would provide some good fodder for the masses while still maintaining a misdirectional approach. Thus, we weren't privey to Lock and Ecko finding a question mark, swinging on the vine that dangled from it into the pristine lake, eating peaches on the beach, and cavorting with Herve Villechaize.But that's Lost for ya.

I think the scenes of Michael and Zeke are actually flashbacks. I think that is when Michael was first caught and actually saw the camp. I am still thinking that Michael is acting alone when he whacked Anna and Libby and when I saw Alex (Danielle's daughter) it made me think that maybe she helped him escape as well, i.e. that he wasn't sent on a mission by the Others.

Its come down to:1. one group who read the spoilers and want to discuss it so they all post in invisitext meaning half of every page is blank.

2. another group who haven't read the spoilers and are kinda bored.

3. a third group who aren't bored but have not read the spoilers, and who are trying to figure things out by trying to talk to others who haven't read spoilers.

Agree completely. That was the same as Eko/Locke's dreams in the last episode. They purposely showed us Jack walking behind Michael and a blank screen so that we would know that it wasn't really happening outside of Michael's mind.

By the way, with all the talk of the logs, do we think that the printer was still on at all since the survivors have been in the hatch? From the looks of the dirt and the plane (fell down well before Kate and Locke met Desmond), no one has been in that hatch since the plane fell. Also, wasn't the power off when Locke and Eko went in?I don't think that the Others, led by Zeke, know about the ? hatch.

It took 2 seconds for Locke and Eko to move the plane, but when they did it sure didn't appear like anyone had been there for a while. It just seems like the writers put clues in spots for us to find and it sure looked like they were trying to make it look like this spot was not used in quite a while. They also left the cigarette buts there almost to show that the folks watching saw something bad and bolted.Right now, I would say that my theory on the Others is not that they are the people that originally setup the experiments and that they aren't in communication with the higher-ups at the Hanso Foundation. I think that Hanso set up the island in 1980 to do a bunch of expirements and over time, the expirements ended, but people remained on the island. I think the Others are the original guinea pigs mixed in with some Hanso worker bees. I think Him is probably Hanso (based on the Lost Experience that mentions him being missing? - I think - just read the thread not the real sites) or one of the original guinea pigs that became the Lord of the Flies leader.

I don't think the Others are the current Hanso folks and that original experiments are still going on. Not sure what the "incident" was or why they made a new orientation film that mentions it, but I think that the Hanso Foundation pulled out of there a while ago and left the folks that stayed on their own. They probably did some of the sealing off (all the concrete that Sayid mentioned and the broken tunnels on the blue light map), but I don't think what is there now is what the original setup.

Hey, just my opinion, which will probably change over the next 2 weeks anyway.

I don't think they know about everything and every experiment. They probably know a ton about it as I think that they were involved, maybe even as subjects and maybe as mid/lower level Hanso employees.

Interesting. So, following this notion, something might happen when the numbers and timestamp are the same? If so, I wonder if "it" could happen regardless of the actual time so long as you enter the numbers that correspond to the current timestamp. In other words, if you enter the current timestamp if an "event" takes place...

In Unix a timestamp is simply a point in time. So, in the context of the log, the numbes printed wouldn't indicate a time since the starting of the logging, but rather a specific point in time like January 1, 2012 (made up date there).
