I think I about maxed out my time on Luigi Circuit with the Mach Bike. I think I need to try another Kart or unlock something to go lower.

Can someone explain to me time trials?? Do you do this on the WFC part pr just on your own?

Go to the normal single player mode, then Time Trials. You can run the race as many times as you want. Then, go to WFC, then Rankings, then Time Trial Rankings. Under the Friends group, you'll see the times off all of your registered friends.

Add to that...click on the image of the Mii and you can download their ghost to race against

this post. Our copy should arrive this week while we are on vacation in Wisconsin Dells, but when I return it will be time to play.

yes, thats the place. if you notice at the edge of the cement/grass, the ledge has a lip on it that you can jump i think. i got all wet trying too. maybe it's just a tease. but why else would that area open up like that?

I am still behind your ghost by 5 seconds in Delfino Square. Id really like to see your ghost. And whats up with these people with the world records? I they putting in some cheat code or something cuz I really dont understand how they are beating me in some races by 30 seconds. I raced one of their ghosts to see what he was doing and it seems he just went much faster than me.

some of those world records are ridiculous. i'll just concentrate on beating everyone here...

i guess it's time i start learning that manual drift so i can take down Buddyknuckles on Delfino. the bar has been set. (and thanks for that shortcut video!)

most of my times shouldn't be that hard to beat if you practice enough. i didn't race all the tracks too much, just enough to beat the nintendo ghost is all and set a time for everyone to work on.

I really enjoy the time trials more than the races, but i'll never be able to compete with those world records.

you can download anyones ghost from the rankings screen can't you? i simply ran a perfect lap 3 times cutting the corners as close as i could...it probably took me 1-2 hours to finally beat BK's time, then he just creamed me the next day....stupid manual-drift

gotta go to the rankings page, find the person you want to download, click on them, and a screen should come up that asks if you want to download their ghost

2. Do you use manual or automatic? It seems like if you are good at the manual, you'll be faster than if you're good at the automatic. I've been using the automatic for right now.

2. Hold the gas right after 24. Hold a banana or shell behind you when driving. Pull and hold the trigger to do it.

Flick the controller up just when the POW block is about to go pow. Flying shell is unavoidable.

OK Im almost 100% sure you go faster using automatic rather than manual. Cuz I just raced this ghost using the same character and car and got off to the same exact start and we were going the same speed for a second and then you just jetted past me. Then I switched to automatic and we stayed the same speed in the beginning. Thats a bit disheartening.Anyway, I own on DK Jungle Parkway (using Manual)

Back to the discussion re: stars...it is easier to earn stars using automatic...I don't get it. If people are claiming to race faster on the time trials with automatic and it's easier to earn stars using auto...what's the point of manual? I think it's a lot more fun racing on manual but the results don't seem to be as good.

Manual is much more fun but apparently you go faster automatic. lame

you dont get the turbo boosts on automatic...how can it be faster? i have to disagree there. I can run a perfect race on automatic and not beat someone who just races a good race on manual.
