I hope it isn't a pattern but McCarthy has been conservative the previous two opening games for the Packers.

They've blitzed twice. Once on ADP's long run and the other time they sacked Jackson to set up 4th and long. Usually a blitz will help against the run... but maybe that's not how you play ADP. What do I know, I'm on my couch, GB "stopped" ADP twice last year when he looked unstoppable (100 yards back then was considered "stopping" ADP)
 
WOW!!!! WHat a catch by Jennings. Not a very good pass (okay it was good, but a little underthrown), but a GREAT catch.

ITS ABOUT TIME MCCARTHY!

and of course... "that's the exact pass that Brett Favre would have thrown"

I may have to drive to the Bay myself and beat the hell out of Kornheiser myself if he doesn't STHU about Favre.

 
How would an offsides offset a TD pass? Had Rodgers actually thrown a good ball there they could have declined the penalty for the TD, no????

Rodgers got DRILLED on that tackle. Surprised to see him get up with his history lol

Someone needs to tell MIN D that they need to line up on the OTHER side of the football... this is ridiclous. 10 penaties in a quarter and 3 minutes

Didn't hear that, trying to tune them out- figured I'd hear "Brett Favre would have made that pass to the corner, Brett Favre wouldn't have allowed that penalty to hold up, Brett Favre wouldn't have allowed ADP to make that run"
 
Man, GBs O line looks terrible on this GL stand. The Vikings' linemen are just running through them like swiss cheese. On the GL, Grant had NOWHERE to go.

 
For those not watching-

GB's OL looks awful versus this MIN goal line defense. Grant has just been gobbled up at the goal line. Don't expect any TDs from him tonight if that continues.

Was a great pass to Hall. Surprised me, he thought very well on the run, literally.

MIN did give them like 5 chances to score, they were bound to. Surprised no QB sneak on that, heard a lot of talk this preseason how they will actually run some (ran one in 2006, Favre fumbled, never ran one since).

 
wow other than a great catch on that bomb the vikings d looked insane. Stopped like 6 in a row from inside the 5, and were INCHES from sacking there, while Rodgers threw off balance to a diving fullback who made a circus catch. The sack would have about negated the firled goal. But no.

BUt this D is so legit. THis is gonna be a fun unit to cheer for.

Colledge is historically bad, Moll is ridiculously bad and Spitz is playing out of position.i'm surprised Rodgers and Grant are still alive at this point
 
BS call for pass interference. Both were looking at the ball. Equal pushing back and forth. Awful call.

What, did GB/MIN get the rookie officiating crew today?

LOL and Berrian slips on that next underthrown pass and looks to the ref for a flag. So sad...
