**Official** Minnesota @ Green Bay MNF discussion thread (1 Viewer)

Remember when Minnesota had an awesome defense and was going to win the division. Seems like so long ago...
Try telling mr furley that.... yeah Minny is gonna win the SB. Experts schmexperts. Some day they will learn that you do not win a SB when you add one player in the off season. This is the ultimate team game.

I think Ryan Grant is A-OK boys! and pleased to see that he wanted back in the game after 1 play. Yes I started Grant, but wasn't so sure about it.

It is amazing how so many people still do not realize that except for the DL, Minny's D is still garbage. Their secondary sucks and their LBs suck. Their pass D will continue to give up huge chunks of yards to any decent O.
stuffing the run and having a great pass rush makes the LBs and secondary look a lot betteramazing how many people don't realize that
What pass rush??? :(
it's the 1st game of the season but over-react if you must
Great D by Minny there...
:lmao: you better drop SJax pronto. pretty sure he's washed up.

I will take the Bears, Jacksonville, NE, Steelers and Balt D before Minny when it comes to FF. Watch some of the better QBs in the league just carve up this D like always. All those who had Minny in the SB....sorry I do not see it.
i'll take LT, AP and Westbrook over Frank Gore
The difference is almost every "expert" had Minny as the #1 D and a lock to win the division, with many thinking SB.

whose alias is this? you're talking like everyone thinks they're the best defense of all time and a lock to go 19-0. you can continue to over-react and exaggerate to try making points but it just makes you look worse and worse with each post.

AP must be a horrible RB because every expert said he would be the #1 rusher this season and Michael Turner is blowing him out of the water. nice reasoning, ace

The Lambeau Leap is by far the best ritual in the NFL.
I'd say it is the dumbest but to each their own. How does TO get a 15 yard penalty for pretending to be a sprinter and people are allowed to waste far more time jumping into the stands?
never thought about that but you are right. it is a celebration which is illegal.. TO's took less time and didnt involve anyone else

Why dont thay just throw it up into the endzone....You'll get a PI call.....1st and 10 on the goal line

Tradition. Does not involve props. Does not involve getting on the ground (sure TO just barely got on the ground but whats stopping someone from doing the worm, rolling on the ground, etc... just nip it all in the bud). Involves jumping in the air. It's harmless.

An incredibly thin line and slippery slope. And by the way - is that the 21st penalty?

Harmless? I don't like TO but what he did certainly was harmless too. Couldn't the crowd be a prop? If Johnson used a cheerleader again I'm sure he'd be flagged. It makes no sense to say, you can't go to the ground but feel free to run through and past the end zone 10-15 yards (whatever it is) and jump into the stands for 10 or so seconds. The only reason it isn't flagged is because it is a 'tradition'. If the first one happened today, I would guess it would either be flagged today or a note from league office would say it will be flagged into the future.

Do you have a problem because you don't like it, or because TO can't do his sprinter's stance (which I also like, and which should also be legal)?
