**Official** Minnesota @ Green Bay MNF discussion thread (1 Viewer)

I'd like to thank the Vikings Defense for this superb performance tonight. No sacks, no interceptions. 24 total points. Well done.

damn, pack. played a great game and it looks like they're going to be stuck with the L. and rodgers played a great game. maybe next time, fellas.

The Lambeau Leap is by far the best ritual in the NFL.
I'd say it is the dumbest but to each their own. How does TO get a 15 yard penalty for pretending to be a sprinter and people are allowed to waste far more time jumping into the stands?
:excited:
never thought about that but you are right. it is a celebration which is illegal.. TO's took less time and didnt involve anyone else
Tradition. Does not involve props. Does not involve getting on the ground (sure TO just barely got on the ground but whats stopping someone from doing the worm, rolling on the ground, etc... just nip it all in the bud). Involves jumping in the air. It's harmless.
Harmless? I don't like TO but what he did certainly was harmless too.
Do you have a problem because you don't like it, or because TO can't do his sprinter's stance (which I also like, and which should also be legal)?
Don't like either, just seems really inconsistent. Either make both legal or illegal but no way should TO be flagged over this.

Everyones saying Rodgers played great and Jackson sucked so far, but their typical FF pts:

Rodgers - 20.5

Jackson - 16.8

Not too different really

I have a problem because it's inconsistent. What is the difference save for TO 'went to the ground'? What if he didn't and just took a sprinters stance without touching the ground? Is that really less taunting? Is the leap (which I love BTW) any less demeaning really?Props are one thing - but stuff like what TO did is only different that the leap b/c of history. But my question is - when will more history like it get made when everything gets flagged? It's not really a big deal but since people brought it up. I just think it's splitting hairs.

TERRIBLE throw Jackson. Good lord what a lack of vision of the secondary. How does he MISS Bigby?

Innacurate QB's usually stay that way...not seeing the upside with Jackson, and for Peterson's sake, a change should be made.

So I wonder if it was Shiancoe or TJax that botched that, because Jackson clearly thought he was running an out, not a hook.

When you go 18/22 in your first ever NFL start and throw for a TD and rush for one also (and have a TD called back b/c of a penalty), I don't see how you can call it anything but a smashing success

Frankly Bagel - it looked like Shiancoe ran the wrong route but Jackson definitely threw a bad ball. From what the booth said he didn't seem to be that far off what the route should have been and the throw 'got away from him (TJ)'.So a little of both I guess.

Jamarcus Russell went out for the cointoss in teh OAK game, wearing a knit hat where its probably 70 degrees..

..just thought it was comical, so if this violates the non GB/MIN deal...ive already switched over!
