It's a game of numbers isn't SSOG? - you seem very fond of them - so here it is - 3-7 in their last 10 at Invesco. That is unacceptable as a Bronco fan. And you know what? The Raiders could easily have won their game in Denver(just like tonight) so we are lucky it's not 2-8. At home the Broncos should dominate - not barely get by. They aren't good, they stink and it's rotting at the head.
And most of those games have been started by a rookie QB. Some growing pains are to be expected with a rookie QB, no?
Yep - too bad he can't tackle or run back a kick or run back a punt or not hold or protect the QB or catch the ball or sack the QB. All of those things are fixable and don't involve Cutler and yet they have been going on without any improvement.
Despite allowing two long TD passes, the defense played better tonight. The pass rush has been better since the bye week, especially last week against the Steelers.
They are missing their two best offensive weapons.
A rookie runs for 100 yards and the defense gives up 7.8y a play. Take away the two big ones and it's 5 a play. So yea if they had been giving up 10 yards a play previous to tonight then yes they are better. Yet the Steelers moved down the field at will to tie the game in the 4th qtr on two long drive.
Come on, the Broncos have switched defensive schemes mid-year, of course there are going to be growing pains.Denver had DJ Williams gutting it out there with an injury. Champ coming back off an injury and who knows if he was 100%.
Lynch hurt in the 1st quarter and out. Our rookie pass rusher Moss out. Yet, the Broncos played a fairly decent game--losing because a great QB made a great pass in OT.
I mean you can sit here and would have and could have the game to death. I mean let's blame the o-lineman for knocking the ball out of Cutler's hand--if they scored on that drive, that FG with .02 would have been for the win and not the tie.
(I disagree with the play calling down there however)
38 years as a Bronco fan I am realistic about this team. Denver is no where near on par with the Patriots or the Colts and if you say they are, you are crazy. They are a team finding its identity with a new and really amazing young QB and possibly a new and really amazing young RB in Young. This team needs another year to gel and get a few more pieces on defense.
I still believe the Broncos may find the way into a wildcard spot, but to think they are world beaters after seeing the way the others in the AFC play and with the level of inuries we have, is just being delusional.
That being said, I am really positive about the direction this team is taking, but transition takes time.
