I was really hoping for a Treadwell commitment to pop up this weekend :kicksrock:

ETA: :lmao: at these recruits speaking to what their school would/wouldn't do for a recruit....if they only knew.

I think the telling part is other recruits calling him out as a doosh basically. Imagine what current Clemson players think.

It's all a matter of perspective right? Yeah, they're calling him a doosh and I'd be pissed if I were a Clemson recruit. It could lead to a divide in the locker room. However, this is what CFB is turning into and they are part of that system. I know it's human nature for us to get on our high horses when we see this behavior, but the reality is, the coaches at these places probably really don't have an issue with it. They know the business of college football. The nativity in these kids is pretty obvious.

I know it happens to a degree....but I'm not sure I agree with the bolded in this case. I can only go by what I know....but coaches have turned down package deals for 1 spot in the past...let alone 3.We'll see I guess. There are some in the media speculating that this may push Nkemdiche to a school like Ole Miss. The kid called 'the best recruit from the south since Bo Jackson' going to Ole Miss? If something like that happens...than coaches have a gigantic issue with it.

He's taking what has been a backdoor handshake deal and cranking it up 3 notches and throwing it out for the world to see. This could blow up in his face in so many ways.

Of course they turn them down if they don't meet the need, but I assure you they'd jump all over it if say two of the three were atop their board. They'd figure out a way to squeeze the unwanted one out. And I agree 100% that this cold blow up in his face. He's already shown his hand IMO and the dealer hasn't dealt all the cards yet. I can see this kid getting labeled a cancer very easily. If the others in the "package" aren't outweighing the potential of a problem, he won't be around.

The Nkemdiche story was the talk of Nike's event this week called The Opening...with some fellow recruits being critical:http://espn.go.com/college-sports/recruiting/football/story/_/id/8139827/what-recruits-ask-recruiting-process
These kids don't have the chest to become leaders. ;)
QB Nick Schuessler recently surrendered a scholarship offer from Mississippi State to walk on at Clemson.
If Schuessler was my son, I'd lose it.

Nkemdiche is now denying his comments. I would bet a lot of the money the last kid doesn't sniff Clemson.

Was reading a bit on 247...lots of back tracking going on. I'm with you and I'd be pissed if I were his buddies. It's one thing to screw with your own future, it's another to screw with other's

So, lot of speculation that Reuben Foster is switching commits from Alabama to Auburn today @ 2pm cdt. I'll believe it, when I see it.

He just did. Had his daughter dressed up as an Auburn cheerleader for the announcement.

UCLA received a commitment today from 4 star OT, Christian Morris, from Tennessee.

UCLA's class is coming along very nicely. They are also rumored to be getting a commitment early next month from 4 star S, Hatari Byrd.

Not much of a surprise...he transferred to Auburn High for his senior year a few months ago.

247 seems to have delivered something innovative....a real-time 'Composite' ranking using current rankings from Rivals, Scout, ESPN, and 247 to come up with 1 number showing how all services rank as a whole.

They offer player and team rankings using the system...which updates whenever a service updates their rankings.

I was listening to the CEO guy from 247 on XM radio on Monday and I thought he said they only used the composite score to rank the overall class, not individuals.

They offer both rankings for individuals, only the composite for team rankings. But they've had such an uproar from 247 subscribers that they are adding both for the team rankings also.

Gotcha...that makes sense.

Demarcus Walker, the #2 DE and #20 player overall, cancelled a scheduled visit to Florida and will enroll at Alabama for the spring.

The lead grows.

I've been seeing the opposite including the ticker on ESPN right now. It's saying he's decommitted from Alabama and is enrolling early at Florida STATE....not Florida.

Black Monday for Clemson

By Phil Kornblut

The week is off to a rough start for Clemson from a recruiting standpoint. WR Demarcus Robinson of Fort Valley, GA, who as recently as Saturday said he was favoring Clemson, announced he is going to Florida and will enroll there today. And long time Clemson commitment, WR Ryan Jenkins of Marietta, GA announced today that he is decommitting from Clemson and going to Tennessee. Jenkins' brother plays at Clemson but his father played at Tennessee. On top of that news, DE Robert Nkemdiche revealed that Clemson is no longer in the picture with him. He will only take official visits to Ole Miss and LSU.

He did....flipped twice in a few days...now at FSU.

Clemson didn't have the :moneybag: to stay in the running. I just can't figure out where Ole Miss is getting their :moneybag: to stay in the mix.

Apparently he was very tight with the new FSU DC Pruitt, who was recruiting him for UA. Looks like UA RB coach Burton Bruns is also leaving for FSU....with former UA coach Sal Sunseri already on board this offseason also.Jimbo doing his best to replicate his former boss.

I don't know, there is plenty of that up there. Just seems obvious they were being played all along to get find a landing spot for his teammates.

Is he still dragging his posse around and stipulating their acceptance as well? I haven't followed him after I learned of his dealings with Clemson. He's trouble looking for a place to happen IMO.

No teammate package deals with Nkemdiche anymore....Ole Miss is the favorite because his brother plays there and his mom wants them to play together. Not sure if the guys Clemson signed are still going there...I don't see them on their commit list.

I don't follow this as closely as others so I definitely could have missed something but didn't he commit to OU? Surely there isn't another Hatari Byrd...

A commitment by these kids means absolutely nothing. Until they have signed, they are all open for recruitment.

Yes. That post was from July and pretty much everyone was shocked by the commitment to OU over UCLA, including his HS coaches and teammates.

Right, was just wondering if I missed his decommittment from OU or some other development. Hadn't heard anything about him having doubts or anything like that from the OU sites.

I don't know who he is so the name or school didn't register. I didn't notice the date of the original post, so it was more a commentary on guys flipping commitments or decommitting during the season.

I think he sticks. Most thought he was choosing UCLA when he picked OU and then it came out that he liked the atmosphere at OU better (he's from the central valley of California, which is rural). From what I know, UCLA hasn't been actively recruiting him and feel comfortable about getting commitments from some other similar highly rated DBs, including Priest Willis, Tahaan Goodman, Johnny Johnson (same HS as Byrd), and maybe Tyler Foreman.Byrd is really good. UCLA fans were pretty upset he picked OU over UCLA.

With OU's pathetic secondary he'll start from day 1 if he's good enough.

UCLA got commitments from 4 star S, Tyler Foreman, and 4 star CB, Johnny Johnson, over the weekend. They are expected to get commitments from 5 star CB, Priest Willis, and 4 star CB, Tahaan Goodman, sometime this week.

5 star CB, Priest Willis, will announce his decision on Wednesday. He's long been though to be a "silent" commit to UCLA.
