***Official NFC Divisional Playoff Packers vs Cowboys (3 Viewers)

I thought the fact he reached for the goal line would have made it a Football move.. But, by the rule, right call there.

And Joe and Troy need to Shut the front door about they should have kicked a FG there.. 51 yard FG try, and even if they make it they are still down by 2 and still have to make a stop.. and based on the previous FG try from 50 the right call was to go for it.. .. But if I'm the Cowboys I run it there for the first to run the clock down..

That is sick. I am feeling sick.
You should feel thankful the refs have kept you guys in these games.
The refs have been terrible across the board. Don't be bitter because Philly #### the bed.
This dude and a couple of others spend lots of time crying about the Cowboys. It usually ends with "Oh yeah, well we get to draft another bust a couple of picks in front of the Cowboys, so there!"

Dudes have serious Dallas envy.
Go get your tissues

Can someone explain to me how that rule comes into effect when Dez was already down?

He took steps...landed on his elbow...THEN the ball hits the ground and pops up.

As soon as his elbow hits the ground...he's down, right?

Total BS. Dez made an amazing catch. He had complete control until he reached towards the end zone. F'ing ridiculous.
It's insane....an the ball never left his body......never. He had it all the way even after rolling into the end zone.

How do you take away a play like that?

***k replay. I have ben pounding the table about this for years here. Ruined the game people.

I thought Perreira said the rule is he must complete the catch and make a football move. Looked pretty clear to me that he caught the ball and then made a football move stretching the ball towards the goal line.

Watch the calvin johnson play to get a better understanding

He's not down until he is through the movement of completing the catch

It is ridiculous that once again the game doesn't get decided on the field but gets decided by the officials. The NFL should be embarrassed.

Tell you this much.. Rodgers better get healed up REAL quick as no way in hell does Seattle only rush 3 or 4 all game long vs. a gimpy Rodgers..

If Dez had been a running back and lost the football lunging for the end zone like that while being tackled, it wouldn't be a fumble. Yet three steps after a catch, that same act becomes an incomplete pass? Just a stupid, stupid rule.

Agree

What the hell qualifies as a "football move"?

That's the only case for this being a bad call but i thought it was more of him just stretching while falling forward. He was falling forward there in any circumstance...it wasn't him leaping for the end zone

Did the ground jar the ball loose even though he maintained possession?

I don't give a crap who wins this game, but people who think that call was bad are fooling themselves. It's a textbook call by the rules.

If you don't like the rule, fine, but that's the rule at the moment.

All these years and the NFL still hasnt fixed this dumb rule. What a league.
Terrible rule. Especially since he got three steps in and it was clear he was then trying to reach for the end zone. I guess it is the right call based on the review call, but I disagree with it completely. I hate these stupid calls that take away a clear play with a stupid rule/interpretation of the rule. I understand the going to the ground, but when the receiver is able to complete 3 steps, seems like that is beyond someone catching the ball in the air and losing it as they go to the ground and they never take a step.

I agree. I hate replay. So many times it makes one have to wait 2 minutes to celebrate. I'm willing to deal with bad calls if they give us the luxury of actually being able to celebrate when a great-close play happens back.

When you are falling to the ground in the process of making a catch, the football move rule does not come into play.
