I don't see UM's terrible Dline standing a chance against OSU's incredibly average Oline. Better?I wish I was as optimistic about UM's chances as nearly everyone else in this thread....

Its not terrible. Its undersized, but quick and sucky. Big difference. Its the DB's that are beyong awful as well as the LBers. Hell the whole defense is terrible you are right.I don't see UM's terrible Dline standing a chance against OSU's incredibly average Oline. The D-Line could be passable if the LBs and Secondary were any good at all.Its not terrible. Its undersized, but quick and sucky. Michigan's D-Line is actually quite good. Brandon Graham is ... well he's THE BEAST. Whoever takes him in the draft is going to be very, very happy. It's the LBs that are beyond horrible. And the DBs not named Woolfolk or Warren. The D-Line could be passable if the LBs and Secondary were any good at all.Its not terrible. Its undersized, but quick and sucky. Alex Smith is headed to UNC. It's not official yet but that's the WOTS. Christian is UM bound. His father loves UM and wants noting more than to see his son in AA for the next 4 years. Ifill is not coming though and that's a good thing. He's a decent prospect but there are better players on the board. Also have read that Alex Smith has decommited And for its worth Cullen's trip was cancelled to tOSU last week. From Tate's facebook - I got the boys from back home coming in this week on their official visits. RB- Brennan Clay Oklahoma commit WR-Kenny Stills RB/WR Dillon Baxter USC commit SS- Tony Jefferson- UCLA commit
So here's the tentative visitors list -
4* RB Brennan Clay
4* WR Kenny Stills
4* RB Dillon Baxter
4* SS Tony Jefferson
4* CB Cullen Christian
4* CB Rashad Knight
4* CB Tony Grimes
3* DE Clarence Murphy
4* DT Mike Thornton
3* LB Tyrone Cornileus
4* DT Richard Ash
4* DT Jatashun Big Texas Beachum
4* WR Kenny Shaw
2* S Ray Vinopal
4* CB Dior Mathis
4* LB Josh Furman
Commits -
2009 CB - Adrian Witty
4* SS/LB Marvin Robinson
2011 -
RB Demetrius Hart (Offers from UM, ND, others - 4* lock)
S/LB Hasean Clinton Dix (sick sick highlights film....kinda looks like Latwan Anderson)
DB Doran Grant
DB Ryan Griffin
DE/TE Chris Rock
LB Lawrence Thomas
Ol Anthony Zettel
WR Deanthony Arnett
S Ron Tanner
All of these 2011 kids except Griffin and maybe Zettel will be 4*. As for the 2010 visitors list, I bolded the names that are sure to make it. The others have said they would come but it's still a bit uncertain. Either way, there will be a lot of talent at this game.
They both make there commitments tuesday. I say Alex goes to UNC, and we get Cullen for sure, and would be good if we get Cullen's teamate as well
DLine is solid, CBs are good as well if Woolfolk doesn't play Safety. Problem are the LBers (minus Roh, who's still a true frosh) and the safeties. Its not terrible. Its undersized, but quick and sucky. Big difference. Its the DB's that are beyong awful as well as the LBers. Hell the whole defense is terrible you are right.I don't see UM's terrible Dline standing a chance against OSU's incredibly average Oline. Aren't you a ND fan? How's that going? The highlight of the 2009 season is knowing that Michigan will finish in last place in the Big 10. Congrats.
Terrry Foster and Valente were going over the list the other day on The Ticket and who was recruiting the kids Michigan signed. The kids U-M signed were not being chased by many top 25 programs according to themDoctor Detroit said:Michigan had one 5-star and 14 4-star recruits last year. They have four 4-star and 15 3-star commits already and most of the 5 stars are still undecided (only Bama has more than 1). Can you link the guys on that list that were only recruited to "MAC type school?" TIA.Da Guru said:And RR has a bunch of small guys coming in next year. RR is recruiting guys that have only had offers from MAC type schools. RR is not going after the 4-5 star players that Michigan can get..he still thinks he is at WVU.Shooter McGavin said:Maybe not offensively, but Michigan's defense is atrocious, and it's mainly due to a lack of talent (and size).bagger said:Rivalry games where there is not a huge disparity in talent (there isn't here)

Wow, wrong game to choose to come out and cheer for Michigan. My first trip to the state of Michigan, and my first Big Ten football game. Looking fwd to BLUE pulling off the upset in the Big House this weekend.GO BLUE!

Last second win at home, and ND is bowl eligible. Who cares? This game isn't going to "save" anything thoughtrue. but on the road ohio st is averaging 28 ppg. i think they could get into the 30s, but it just seems like ohio st has little to play for in this game and michigan is looking to save its season. to me that seems like it will be closer than people think.but i haven't seen enough of michigan to maybe realize how bad their D is.I'm not sure they have faced a defense as bad as Michigan's yet.For the people thinking that tOSU will score 35 without even trying, with the exception of New Mexico St, tOSU has not scored over 40 points all year.![]()

It's been another pretty bad year and winning this game isn't going to change that. Not much different to be 6-6 vs 5-7
Yea I totally disagree with that.1) Beating OSU v. not beating OSU2) Bowl game v no bowl gameThis game isn't going to "save" anything thoughtrue. but on the road ohio st is averaging 28 ppg. i think they could get into the 30s, but it just seems like ohio st has little to play for in this game and michigan is looking to save its season. to me that seems like it will be closer than people think.but i haven't seen enough of michigan to maybe realize how bad their D is.I'm not sure they have faced a defense as bad as Michigan's yet.For the people thinking that tOSU will score 35 without even trying, with the exception of New Mexico St, tOSU has not scored over 40 points all year.![]()

I want them in a bowl game, don't get me wrong, but I can't say they belong in one after the season they played. I'd be proud of them if they came with the huge upset, but it wouldn't make it a better season for meYea I totally disagree with that.1) Beating OSU v. not beating OSU2) Bowl game v no bowl gameThis game isn't going to "save" anything thoughtrue. but on the road ohio st is averaging 28 ppg. i think they could get into the 30s, but it just seems like ohio st has little to play for in this game and michigan is looking to save its season. to me that seems like it will be closer than people think.but i haven't seen enough of michigan to maybe realize how bad their D is.I'm not sure they have faced a defense as bad as Michigan's yet.For the people thinking that tOSU will score 35 without even trying, with the exception of New Mexico St, tOSU has not scored over 40 points all year.![]()

He is so ready for him to be gone.I would think most of the "older" U of M crowd is probably like that.I had an older gentleman in my office yesterday that grew up in Ann Arbor so when he saw my OSU stuff in the exam room, we had plenty to talk about.![]()
Interesting that this lifelong UoM fan has had it with RR after this season. He is so ready for him to be gone.
He was early 50's, so could be. This is also the group of people that fund the boosters, so their voice is going to be much louder than the younger.I would think most of the "older" U of M crowd is probably like that.I had an older gentleman in my office yesterday that grew up in Ann Arbor so when he saw my OSU stuff in the exam room, we had plenty to talk about.![]()

There is some truth in that, but I think it is highly unlikely that RR is gone after this year unless something significant comes out of the extra practice investigation that is going on. Nothing specific to RR, but I think if you are going to hire a new coach at the college level he should be given 4 years to have all his players in his system. There is some truth in that, but I think it is highly unlikely that RR is gone after this year unless something significant comes out of the extra practice investigation that is going on. I'm not saying it will be the right decision. My point to him was nothing will happen this year, but if next year there is another losing season, then there will be some serious questions to be asked. Let alone they might start getting interested in Harbough and if he stays hot at Stanford, he might be gone if they give RR 4 years. There is some truth in that, but I think it is highly unlikely that RR is gone after this year unless something significant comes out of the extra practice investigation that is going on. Harbaugh angered a lot of U of M brass and alums with some of his comments. I don't know if they will go there, but if he keeps winning they might overlook it.My point to him was nothing will happen this year, but if next year there is another losing season, then there will be some serious questions to be asked. Makes sense.A good showing and especially a W will help RR's cause immensely... yet another reason to lean toward this being a dogfight instead of a cakewalk. He was early 50's, so could be. Not going into whether it is true or not, it was something that most thought a "Michigan Man" shouldn't be saying."Michigan is a good school and I got a good education there," Harbaugh said. "But the athletic department has ways to get borderline guys in and, when they're in, they steer them to courses in sports communications. They're adulated when they're playing, but when they get out, the people who adulated them won't hire them."
I was thinking Animal Planet. This year's game should only be shown regionally and/or on espn14.
I think the Ocho might have a better shot at getting it.This year's game should only be shown regionally and/or on espn14.
OK, sorry butI'm almost positive Michigan will win this game, but even if they lose, as long as someone lights up Justin Boren then it will be ok.
Hitting the holiday happy juice a little early?I'm sure it would be.I'm almost positive Michigan will win this game, but even if they lose, as long as someone lights up Justin Boren then it will be ok.
