Sorry if this has been mentioned, but I wanted to give a shout out to DeMarco Murray. For two years, we've either seen him rocket through holes a semi truck could drive through, or avoid contact and still get hurt.

Thus far this year, Murray has really impressed me with his running inside, taking punishment and giving out a little as well. Hats off, DeMarco! :thumbup:

 
Well the short passing game looked pretty sharp in the opening drive. If OU kicks the ball to Shipley today someone should be fired!

Well hopefully OU will focus on Landry being the QB and move forward. GL to Bradford and Gresham in the future.

Landry looks okay today against Kansas. Good news is OU's defense is pretty good, bad news I think OU will lose a fair amount of players to the NFL next season.

If he's able to get healthy in 4 months, that still means he probably misses the all-star games and the combine. Bad timing. Good luck to him. Hopefully he stays in the first round and goes to a good team

Well he'll go before Colt McCoy does, that is certain. Kiper has him #1 among Qbs and most are saying he is still the best QB in the draft going away.

Also this thread should be closed due to us finding out ####nitt is a Longhorns fan. :X

 
Not a Longhorn fan, but I do cheer for the BIG 12 when they play. Bradford will be a top 10 pick, and I hope he doesn't end up in Kansas City or Oakland. Would really be nice to see him play for a team with a good qb so he can carry a clip board for a few years and not be thrown to the wolves his first season. His body can not stand the pounding that he would take as a rookie qb. GL Sam, and GL to the Sooners.

Yeah that was an impressive win.Everything I'm seeing has USC going to the Sun Bowl which makes sense. If Stanford wins the rest of their games they are going to the Holiday Bowl and Oregon would go if they lose one. OU could probably get to the Holiday Bowl if they win out but the Alamo or Sun seem more likely. Cotton Bowl also possible but that would also require them to win out.
 
Man that was an embarrasing "L" today at the hands of Texas Tech. I thought the "D" was superior this year, and OU only needed to work on the offense, but after today I think OU will need a couple of years to get back to top 10 status.

I never saw the post? I have had SHIZNITTTT as an email forever (11 years or more) and just used it here many years ago. When I was trying to use just plain Shiznit it was taken along with the version with TT, TTT, and thus I was stuck with TTTT.Kind of outgrown it, pretty silly when I have to put it down for business purposes.

Ridiculous. The talent is there. Jones had invaluable playing time this year. Broyles and Murray are returning. They've had Top 10 recruiting classes for the last decade. The only thing wrong with OU this year was the inexperience at QB and on the OL.

:) ...and that D is damn good. Sure, Leach had OU's number yesterday, but that won't be the last time he does that to a very good D.The sky is not falling. Just get that OL right.

This thread should be closed for several of your posts that make absolutely no sense. If you think it's going to take OU "a couple of years" to get back to the top ten you are off a couple of years. They will be top 15 preseason, possibly top ten and most likely the Big 12 South favorites next year considering what OSU and Texas is losing. That thought is as ridiculous as you wanting Texas to win the national Championship. And the D was ranked in the top ten of just about every important category going into yesterday's game. It's like you haven't watched the team all year.

How am I whining about OU? Is it considered whining when I state OU's faults? Why is it ridiculous to cheer for a BIG 12 team in a NC game? I would cheer for Nebraska, OSU, TT, Kansas or any other team in the BIG 12 if they were lucky enough to play for a NC game. Also, I cheer for all the BIG 12 teams when they are playing unless they are playing OU. I watched the entire year, and while I think the defense is good, the offense struggles, and unless something changes next year, the defense will never be able to have an "off" game. Agreed, that OU should be the preseason favorite to win the BIG 12 south next year with all that is lost from OSU, and Texas.

11 players from Oklllllahoma (that's with 5 L's) on the 1st and 2nd teams....4 on the 1st team. (Texas: 8 total, 3 on the 1st team)

 
Congratulations to Oklahoma and Bob Stoops, way to shake that monkey off your back. And, why the #### does the BCS hate Oklahoma so damn much? I must see that damn Boise State beating Oklahoma at least twice in every BCS game with footage, and references. WTF?
