JZ, good call on the Cleve Daughter. I'm sure that one will stick.

FWIW, special consideration should be given to the Cleve YL, since Mike played it behind his back (first time done). But I have not heard the Detroit version. I'm hoping to get Detroit though. That set was sick.

Also, wasn't there a version of YL where Ed sang during the solo? Or was that Detroit?

83 songs so far
This will be a good thread chosing the songs, but IMO you HAVE TO open with Release and close with Ledbetter.TIA
Yeah that goes without saying GBDisc 1 will open with Release, WWS

Disc 2 will open with Long Road, Corduroy

Disc 3 will open with Mamasan trilogy

Free World, Ledbetter will close set

This is not up for debate.

Actually, the first encore from CHI2 may open disc 3. Wasted Rep., MotH, then Mamasan.
 Was going to suggest an encore opening with Wasted Rep

Have you thought about updating the list to where if a song has only been played once, you put the city next to it (maybe with a symbol following it to represent that it's only been played once)?

Just a thought.

McCready plays the Star Spangled Banner at the end of the Detroit one

Beat me to it--looks like another good show. Looks like I will be dropping another $10 to pick this one up. I'm surprised they played "Leash"--I hope they continue to break it out b/c it's a great song.ETA: I am interested to hear the pre-set "Porch"--Ed by himself?

That was a pretty crummy review.  I've downloaded every one of these concerts, and they all sound great.  I would go so far as to say that, all things considered, they are on the short list of the best live American rock bands ever.
It was a crummy review, but not everybody gets it. That's fine by me. Actually, I think it is funny to see everyone get their panties in a wad over one bad review. I've seen a few glowing reviews of the concerts so far as well. NOt everyone is going to like them or appreciate them, but that's music. What's your favorite show so far on this tour?

:porked:
I think I'm still partial to Toronto 2. Admittedly I haven't listened to Cleveland yet. So hell for all I know that guy's right but I highly doubt it.I was talking to Red, I'd like to put together a comprehensive set as the US tour goes on of all the songs they play in one uber-live-collection. I figure since they sound so good, and the levels and quality are all the same across each show, it would turn out pretty damn good. I'd like to get input from everybody at some point ontheir favorite versions, shining moments, etc, in case I miss something ... also bad spots as well. I would strongly consider sharing this with those who are involved when it's finished.
You, sir, are a genius. :grad:

Not only did they play "Leash", they closed with it. That's a real surprise to me.

List updated above. Think we're up around ~90 now. I missed a few this morning.

Leash roxor. All the second city shows are kicking ###.

What do I need to do to get in on getting a copy of the live CD set, Jzilla?
:goodposting:
Something will be arranged. I may actually have to go DVD-Rs + snailmail on this once it's done.
If you burn them to CDs as mp3 files you should be able to get 100+ on one CD. Then everyone could rip to their PCs and make their on audio CDs.Just a suggestion.

Yeah I'm definitely putting it out in mp3 form... but this is gonna be bigger than that. I guess 2 CD-Rs is still cheaper than one DVD-R. Either way, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. There are bigass upload sites out there but they're flaky and they annoy me.

hey guys can we get a list of your songs from favorite to least favorite from "Pearl Jam"

my list has changed a bit from my first one..

1. Come Back

2. Marker in the Sand

3. Army Reserve

4. Parachutes (reaaaaaly digging this the more i hear it)

5. Unemployable

6. Inside Job

7. Gone

8. Wasted Reprise

9. Severed Hand

10. Life Wasted

11. Comatose

12. World Wide Suicide

13. Big Wave

I went to the 1st Philly show last night...they sounded great, especially the new songs. Present Tense was probably the highlight for me...but of course after I posted a message on their "objective" (sarcasm) message board, I got ripped apart for saying they could have played a few less hits...but it was still an amazing show...I just think Sunday night's show will have a better set list...

Main Set: Wasted Reprise, Life Wasted, WWS, DTE, Animal, Severed Hand, Corduroy, Marker in the Sand, Given to Fly, Unemployable, Lukin, Not for You - Modern Girl tag, Daughter - WMA tag, I Am Mine, Jeremy, Present Tense, Why Go, Porch

Encore 1: Betterman, Come Back, Small Town, Last Kiss (with former jail inmates who were recently freed after 20 years in jail, cleared by DNA evidence. Eddie stopped the show for about 5 minutes for this. Nice moment, but the song didn't sound that great), Alive

Encore 2: SOLAT, Blood, Even Flow, Comatose, Leash, RITFW, YL

Pretty good setlist there - SOLTA, Blood, Leash at the end...

sounds like someone threw something at Eddie during Rearviewmirror tonight in Camden, NJ and he stormed offstage pissed off, right before the encore. Probably not a big deal, but yet another reason to make us here in the Philly area look bad again.

The setlist is a LOT different from last night's show...looks like they only played 9 of the same songs.

I was at the show tonight in Philly/Camden, I didn't notice anything happen during rearview mirror. It was an extended version, sounded good.

I t was a really good show, Vedder seemed to really apreciate the crowd.

Cracked me up that the dedicated Glorified G to **** Cheyney

I never heard them cover Baba O'Reily before, I liked it alot

Played Star Spangled Banner on guitar at end-nice touch for Memorial Day

I think they should keep playing Leash at every show for the rest of the tour so the losers who kept whining for it get so sick of it they puke.

{and so I can hear it in Pitt and Cincy :D }

I thought they were spot on at this show... my 15 year old's first concert. 10th row, dead center, courtesy of my wifes BIL  The DNA bit did kill the momentum a bit, but after that they really brought it with Alive.

The BIL went the next night as well and he says it seemed like McCready was out of it. He says Eddie looked pissed, slammed the mic stand a couple of times, and appeared to almost stomp off stage at the end of the set. When they came back out it appeared thet McCready had his #### together again and all was well.

...To be a fly on the wall back stage. ;)

Keep me in the loop on this as well, fellows. Some fantastic set lists out there.

Actually, the band LOVES Philly...seriously. For whatever reason, Pearl Jam "record" sales go off in that area. They're not even sure why, but there's a disproportionate number of sales in and around Philly, compared to the rest of the country. I know it was true of Riot Act, so we can only assume that wasn't an anomaly for ONE album.

What's more is, they don't know why, really. I was at the Camden show a few years ago (Tweeter?...outside), and anyway, Vedder actually brought it up, in thanking the fans. Listen to the boot, if you have it.

Along those lines, I have a story about that show...

I was like 2nd row (just walked right up) and there was a moment that kind of blew me away. I've been to a ton of shows, so there are many cloudy memories, no doubt. But there was a part in Camden that really sticks out for me. It was during Elderly Woman. You know that part, "I just wanna scream, hello...". Well, for the "HELLO" part, Vedder was gonna sort of let the crowd sing.

I was on the side, so I turn to look up at the crowd and it was like it was choregraphed...all of 'em just screaming "HELLOOO". It looked like every single person had their hands in the air, and holy #### was it loud. Lights had been turned on the audience, as well, so you could really see it all...all the way up to the grass, where everyone was of course, standing, waving...singing in unison.

So I look back over to the stage, and there is Vedder in awe. He really was taken back by it. He kind of falls back, and you can hear him say "Jesus Christ", as he looks over at Stone. You can actually hear it on the boot. Love listening to that part, obviously. You can hear them singing the rest, as well.

So, I don't know how well I was able to explain that moment, but it really was awesome. Not many times have I seen an audience shock a band for a bit. And now, when I hear that part, I'm always reminded of that crowd in Camden, a place I'd never been. Good stuff.

No. Some dude on one of the boards says he programs for vh1 and said nothing is in their database yet. There is nothing to disprove him at this point. Usually ST's take 2-3 months to air.I'm thinking Better Man and Alive are shoe-ins for the TV show, but I'm not sure what else based just off the setlist. Hopefully it's a two hour episode!

Once the East Ruffs are done I'll start hammering out the compilation. Good resource here. I was doing this manually until I found that.

I guess I should have told you about that one... :D .Interesting note:

Cleveland has 6 songs that have not been played at any other show so far.

Chicago Night II has 4.

Doesn't look like any others come too close.

Yeah Washington had nothing new. Kinda glad I didn't go now - I was going to but I got sick - I've been so immersed in this crap I'm almost Pearl Jammed out anyway. Something tells me the last show of the leg they'll break out a surprise or two. Hopefully, anyway.
