***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (1 Viewer)

I just finished creating my 6 disc set. I dont want to sound #### or anything but I love Jzilla. I mean really love him. Jzilla you are genious. I am happier now then I have been in quite some time. This is freaking awesome. It took some hours to get done but man this is great.

Jzilla if you are ever in southern Arizona I would be honored to buy you a beer or twenty. :banned:

God Bless you.

:goodposting: And then swing up to Phoenix for another 20 beers. This :censored: rocks!!

I have to get to bed soon but I cant stop listening to this. Where do these recordings come from? Is someone in the audience recording this and then putting it out on the innernet?

I feel like I have a very limited album here.

 PJ has made all of their shows available for download on their webite: Ten Club. These are culled from those shows. JZilla was cool enough to take the time to put these together for us.

Bump.

Just wanted to say this has been playing for me all day and WOW

Incredible collection.... the essential Live Pearl Jam set... no doubt

Thx to Zilla and everyone involved in this.... I spent about 45mins fixing the track listings/names in iTunes and it's great now.

ya took a bit of work getting the listings worked out but its great now

i #'d the songs in order as they appear in jzilla's post but itunes doesnt re-order them??

how do i get them in proper order?

About 17mins per disc to download sound right?

I am on the second one now.
That's about what I'm getting right now. So sounds good to me. My tracks on Disc1 came through in order.

I grabbed them and assigned Disc _ of 6 to each... Also you will need to delete song # data for some of the songs as many have random values (ie song 3 of 25). Just clear all fields but Disc _ of 6.... and then number according to JZs post and you're golden.

Before some of these songs (betterman and love boat captain are examples)it sounds like people are booing. Are they booing or is this something else I am not aware of? I have never seen PJ live so I am not sure what this is.

Still going through these discs. Just awesome

The tracklist is above.12 and 13 of disc 2.

Although, I have not listened to that disc yet.

for some reason these songs (LBC and Betterman) wont load into my itunes..

weird
Sometimes your download will stop short and those songs wont' be there if you unpack the RAR. Redownload the disc and they'll be there.

Ed announces Boo Gossard (or Boom) on the keyboards so the crowd chants "boooo" for him, not actually booing the band. At least that's what i've picked out from listening to the two tracks.

It's actually Boom Gaspar, who plays keyboards for them...

Still at the beginning of the listening experience, but Red Mosquito is real solid. Great version. Crowd was loud as heck.

Yeah, I know who Stone Gossard is. I couldn't make out the last name and thought maybe it was a brother or something.

Right before "Wasted Reprise" at the 6/1 E Rutherford show, Eddie says:"You know in the back, Clarence Clemons [springsteen's sax player] has played here so many times he's got his own room back there...This is our big man, this is Boom Gaspar on the B3 [Hammond B3 organ]..."

I thought you did. :D Bout to run into some It's Okay.....

Speaking of "It's Okay" --- who sang/performed the original?
Dead MoonAMG on Dead Moon:

Dead Moon, a three-piece from Clackamas, OR, is known for its own particular brand of rootsy garage punk. Their music conjures images of hard-luck easy riders and lovers against the world. While their sound alternates between moody and aggressive, it is always remarkably genuine and energetic.

The band is fronted by the husband-wife team of Fred and Toody Cole. Fred began his enduring musical career at the very young age of 15. Many years and many bands later (after living through experiences as varied as homesteading in Alaska, dodging the Vietnam War draft, and hunting bears), the two formed a punk band called the Rats. Later, after adding Andrew Loomis on drums, Dead Moon was formed in 1987. Frequently on the road in Europe, where they have a huge and devoted following, widespread popularity in the U.S. has continued to elude them.

For almost a decade, Dead Moon released LPs on their own Tombstone label. All of those releases are vinyl only, and were cut on the same lathe that the Kingsmen's version of Louie Louie was cut on back in 1963. In 1991 they began to re-release the vinyl-only albums onto CD through Music Maniac in Europe and eMpTy in the United States, an effort that continued into the new millenium.

Just finishing up listening to disc 6 now.

"So this is the song, this is for D I K C".

F'ing up in DC.

:lmao:

Sweet Relief Benefit CD for Victoria Williams. All live versions with Boom are much better than studio IMO.

So I must be imagining it I would have sworn it was on Yield or Code. Man I have lost brain cells. I was starting to think maybe someone erased it off of my CD or you had to do something to find it.

Yeah, no cover songs have ever been on official studio full length album releases.

Anyone going to Pitt/Cincy? If so, see ya there.
Driving up to Cincy tomorrow for the show on Saturday. Cincy was closer, and I am also going to the Gorge shows, so we decided not to go to Pittsburgh. I've been sick all week unfortunately, but I'm hoping I will be well enough to pound a few beers at the Hofbrauhous tomorrow night and then hit the Beer Sellar in Newport before the show on Saturday.

Is the Sellar the place across the river and the ferry takes you right to the arena?
