***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (5 Viewers)

Funny (to some) story...I was in 7th grade when 10 came out. I wrote to the fan club saying I wanted to join and they told me to mail them back $5....back then I was like "no way I'm going to spend $5 to join a fan club"

I ended up joining after vs. and got member #133xxx....I've gotten front row for the last 3 shows I've been to...Can't even think of what it would be like if I joined during 10.

Maybe I'll have some ungodly luck and get my old membership renewed. :praying:

I've never been in the Ten Club, but have been a fan since the early 90's and have been to a few shows. If I were to join now, what would that do for me? I still hope to see some shows this summer if they tour. I was third row once at Alpine in 1999, and although that was an ubelievable experience, I don't need to be that close to be excited about seeing PJ.

Never been in a "Fan club"... always thought they were gay... but clearly this is one I should have joined long ago

No point now

I'll just let TF get me a sweet seat for B'ham :D

You would be able to preorder as many shows as you want w/o waiting for ticketmaster lines. Also, these seats would be better than what you can get on TM (for about 95% of the shows, assuming they're not GA). You also get a Christmas Single on vinyl and a few magazines.

Pretty much. The preorder is key, although that is an adventure itself sometimes (not always) and you won't be getting primo seats like the better numbers (but probably better than TMaster). Hopefully my 180# will get me top 10 rows consistently in a few years. :goodposting: Long live this thread...

From the PJ site:Membership Renewal PolicyThe definition of the Ten Club membership renewal policy states a membershipis considered delinquent on the exact date of expiration. For 90 days afterthe date of expiration, the membership remains delinquent but is availablefor renewal within this grace period. During this 90-day grace period theoriginal membership may be renewed and all seniority will stay intact.Renewal notices are sent out via email at the beginning of each month to allmemberships that have become delinquent in the previous month, allowing eachmember to renew their membership within the 90-day grace period and maintaintheir seniority.NOTE FOR NON-DELINQUENT MEMBER RENEWALS: Please login to your member accountbefore renewing. Failure to do so may result in creating an entirely newaccount and all seniority may be lost.Memberships that are delinquent for more than 90 days become non-memberaccounts and the former member will no longer receive the benefits of theTen Club. Delinquent accounts can be renewed by logging in and purchasing anew membership. Although the Member profile and account history will remainin tact, a new member number will automatically be assigned and allseniority will be lost.Members who wish to retrieve their original membership number that has beeninactive for a duration of time, will need to provide valid reasoning fortheir delinquency. On the other hand, reaching out to them directly is always worth a shot. Last year, they said there would be no exchanges for tickets purchased via 10C. But, as evidenced on the message boards, these did take place.

No dice.

Since we can’t find another membership under your name, we have to assume it was an old membership on an old database system we no longer use. We are sorry, we can’t help you with this.

Did you tell them your affiliation with the folks at Disney? Surely ####ing Pluto on a regular basis will sway them.

That sucks. FWIW, it is worth joining again, if only to avoid Ticketbastard. Plus, in less populated markets, you can still get good seats. My # is 116###, but in the tri-state area, that translates to around 10th row. No complaints, but, likely to be that much closer in the smaller markets! But, it's PJ, so its all good... :fishing:  :wall:

That would be awesome. I only got to see their joint Petty show and I would love a chance to see a full concert again this year. Granted, they played a bunch of shows in the upper midwest, so I'm guessing I'll have to travel, but it would be worth it.

I got an e-mail right after I ordered saying my order was processed and that I would receive another when it shipped. I just went to the website and clicked "Goods", logged in, and hit "Profile" and my name and address came up, along with :Membership Info:

Cool, I just logged on for her:Member Number Is Current Expiration Date

Maybe she'll be sitting next to you at a show someday...
Great. Now every PJ show I go to the rest of my life, if there's a chick sitting in the seats adjacent to mine, I'm going to have to ask them :"Hey... do you know Tremendous Upside?"
I might use her tickets also, so if there's a dude, you have to ask him, "Are you Tremendous Upside?"
If it does turn out to be you, hold on to your hat, because :banned: will ensue.... :D

No dice.

Since we can’t find another membership under your name, we have to assume it was an old membership on an old database system we no longer use. We are sorry, we can’t help you with this.
:lmao: :lmao: :hey:

Pretty much ALL of Canada including ####### Newfoundland...then another US tour, then they hop on over to ####### Europe for good measure and blow through I forget how many countries... Oh and what the hell, throw in the Australia tour and let's go to Hawaii... After that, I was HOPING for shows in 08'.

11/09/91 - Tower Records: Rockville, MD (acoustic) [30m]

attendance: 50

set: Wash, Black, Alive, Suggestion, Porch

notes: Small, in-store promo for their first album, Ten, with PJ in a festive, friendly state. Before the set begins, Ed is thumbing through a magazine trying to pick out his first tattoo and later modifies some of the 'Alive' lyrics, a reference to selecting his tattoo on his arm, making the band laugh. ("'Son,' she said, 'why'd you pick that tattoo?'" and later, "'Is something wrong?' she said. Of course there is, yeah. 'You're unplugged,' she said. It's driving me crazy.") The guys strum a bit of Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and The Who's 'Behind Blue Eyes.' Ed looks around during 'Porch' for something to climb and, finding nothing, stands on Dave's kick drum. Excellent acoustic set .[Link to Video Guide]

Yeah, I thought it was great stuff...

Looks like there will be shows in the States after Europe :( This is a snippet from an interview with Jeff. Also some stuff about the south

CG: Yeah, I must say, your touring schedule over the past 4 or so years hasn’t left much time off! No chance of burning out again? (laughs). JA: Not a chance. We’re in control now. And we’re enjoying it. Really enjoying the moment. We’re being sensible, but not looking too far ahead. I mean, we have another European tour coming up soon, with some shows in the States after that, and we’ll take a bit of time off after that I think. The last few years we haven’t had much time off leading up to Christmas, which is a bit of a bummer, so we’ll be at home for this one. CG: Staying on the tour, a lot of fans from the South are getting frustrated that you aren’t playing shows there, while the Tri-State area consistently gets shows. Is this a deliberate thing? JA: Well, first off, we know we have a massive fan base in the South. We don’t intend to ignore them. The main difference between the Riot Act tour and the last tour was time. Because (in 2006) we wanted to tour Europe, as well as play some shows with Tom Petty, plus a month in Australia and Hawaii, we only had time for a handful of shows in the States, compared to previous tours. For the Riot Act tour we played quite a few shows in the South, too. I understand the disappointment, but as I said, we’re playing some shows at home after Europe so keep your ears and eyes open. CG: Can you shed any more light on the tour, any specifics? JA: I’ve probably told you too much already, man! (laughs) No, just kidding (laughs) All I know is we have Europe coming up in June, some festivals there as well as a few other shows. Copenhagen is going to be very special, obviously, and we have some cool stuff planned for the show in London…

Pearl Jam to headline Lollapolloza

Link

Pearl Jam will return to its Lollapalooza roots by serving as one of the headliners for the 2007 edition of the event, which will be held Aug. 3-5 in the city's Grant Park. The news was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times and confirmed by sources to Billboard.com.

Pearl Jam's rise to fame was cemented by its performances on the 1992 Lollapalooza tour, which was concurrent with the ascent of its debut album, "Ten." Frontman Eddie Vedder hails from the Chicago suburb Evanston and has frequently made special appearances solo and with the band in the Windy City.

The Lollapalooza date is expected to be part of a handful of North American shows on the back of a previously announced European tour that begins June 8 in Lisbon.

As previously reported, Pearl Jam, which toured extensively last year in support of its self-titled debut for J Records, will release a new cover of the Who's "Love Reign O'er Me" in the upcoming Adam Sandler film "Reign Over Me." The song was also featured on the band's annual holiday single for fan club members.

The full Lollapalooza lineup isn't expected to be announced for several weeks.
