***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (1 Viewer)

:lmao: to all who got tix

For those that didn't, for all the shows I went to there were peeps outside looking to unload extras

They weren't all 10C tix, but I saw good lower tier tix going for as little as $20

As rabid Pearl Jam fans we apparently overrate the general demand for these seats

10C tix are the #### for these shows though, so ####### close

Random PJ related comment: "Down" is the PJ song shooting up my rankings recently. Love this song, and especially the Howard Zinn shout out in the lyrics

I thought so too until I tried to buy some for the last tour. #### was sold out in seconds. No biggie though, Eddie solo is neat and all but I'd much rather see the band.
Scalpers and ticket agencies and people looking to turn a profit snapped up the majority I betI bet if you had gone to the venue night of you could have scored tix for face AT WORST, and likely much better than that

I disagree. Or at least it must depend. I know for a fact The Wiltern (LA) shows were impossible. Tickets on Ebay and Craigslist were up to $800, no joke. A scalper I've used for over 15 years said that it was highest demand for The Wiltern he's seen since, I can't remember, Sting or some ####. It was crazy.A good buddy, this New Yorker who can seriously hustle his way into ANY show, tried to go and didn't get in. I mean it, he's seen more live music than anyone I know...and got skunked.Anyway, I guess supply and demand varies quite a bit. Run into the right fan who doesn't give a damn about market value, and you're set. I've got into shows that were supposed to be impossible (Showbox), and missed others that weren't... :pickle: Regardless, the call is always to just go; and never to pay a premium from a scalper days before a show. But you know all this...As for "Down" moving up your charts... :excited: Love that one.

I guess I was really talking about my experiences with the East Coast shows (specifically the NYC shows)But this was also likely due to the venue being way up in Washington Heights, so there were fewer people willing to venture up there for a shot at landing a ticketReally intrigued by the ACL possibilityNever been to Austin, this might get me down thereSeems like it is VERY similar to Lollapalooza, put on by the same peopleThat ran very smoothly two years ago and was a great experience the whole weekendAnyone else thinking about hitting ACL if PJ does indeed play?

That's one of my favorite PJ songs. Love it. Hope to be able to see it live some day, but I'm not holding out hope.

Someone explain the 10 club to me like I have no idea. What are the benefits?

I was a member for the Angel LP but never reupped. Its the only single I have.

$20/year - you get a xmas LP singe, 2 full color newsletters and the access to presale tickets for EV and PJ shows. The 10 club seating for these shows are almost always in the front.

It's $20 per yearYou get a XMas single and a couple of issues of a PJ newsletter, but the big advantage is priority ticketing for PJ showsThey have presales for the best seats in the house for 10C members only before tix go on sale through TM

Got 2 decent main floor tix for Memphis this morning! Was hoping for Nashville, but that one sold out too fast... If anyone ends up with a pair of Nashville's and wants to trade 'em for Memphis, let me know.

IN on Honolulu I. Balcony, front row, center. Hope I don't fall...

Got a great crew coming to the islands for the last two shows. Flights out here don't get any cheaper than they are now -- $375 from LAX. Kama'aina rates at the Outrigger, beachfront. Make the trip for 4th of July week(end) folks...DO IT, TU!

I don't know how these other venues are doing it, but I just checked again, and better tickets are popping up now and then. And after talking to friends who were also ordering this morning, I'm/we're certain they started releasing tickets back to front. Nobody got floor, on either night. And there have been progressively better seats available -- like from balcony (earlier) to loge (just now). Weird.

This probably bodes well for fan club seats, as it appears there isn't any floor available, from what I can gather.

Anyway, worth a shot to keep trying/checking for some of you. Even if you already have tickets, I would see if you can't score some killer seats by chance. Just sell your others if that happens, that'll be easy.

Got my hookup...and then some. I have the following pairs for the Memphis show at the Orpheum:

• PROMOTER TIX : Don't know where these are yet, but I presume they're fantastic as they come from the Promoter's cache of seats. I'll be sitting here.

• Mezzanine (First Balcony) - 6th row Aisle Seats

• Front Row of Upper Gallery (back corner)

What set lists can we expect for this tour?

One or both of these pairs may be available to FBGs who might be interested in checking out the show here in Memphis.

For the ACL veterans...is it easy to score tickets just before the festival starts/during the festival? Would consider a road trip (have always wanted to check out Austin) for this, but, as my avatar message indicates, no income coming in currently, so not the best time to plan a trip.

Thoughts?

No specific ACL experience, but it's being put on by the same production group that does Lollapalooza, and from looking at the ACL website it seems like a very similar setup to Lolla. IIRC from two years ago, the three day passes never sol dout, just one day passes for Sunday (the day PJ played) and maybe one other day. If you'd be going down there you'd be doing the 3 day thing I assume, so you shouldn't have too much trouble. Also, I know there were a ####load of peeps on craigslist and stubhub selling three day passes up until day of for face, and sometimes even below. I don't think it will be a huge problem to wait a bit and still get tix.Accomodations, on the other hand, I have no idea.Hoping to figure things out this week, but I am 90% IN for ACL!

Yeah, I don't think tix will be hard to come by. Before I say I'm officially in, I'm going to wait until I see if there are any other shows a little closer. Not that I don't want to go to ACL, but I'm already dropping some coin for some trips in the next few months.

Looks like an announcement should be coming soon:

"Coo Roo coo coo coo coo coo coo"

The little birdy's channeling a bit of Bob McKenzie, eh?

He's in such a giddy mood that he tweeted this second little ditty....

Tweet, tweet, hear the beat,

Give me something good to eat.

(like deep dish pizza)

You'll be sweet and on your feet,

All paid up (by May 3rd) - and in your seat.

( Be sure your memberships are all up-to-date by May 3rd."
