Was talking to new co-worker last night, got to talking about music

Turns out she's from Seattle and her best friend is Eddie's personal assistant

She said she'd likely be able to hook me up for MSG

Small effing world

10C presale for MSG on TM tomorrow from 12-4 for those who got shut out. Would guess password would be going out via e-mail, so keep an eye out if you're in need.

Anyone know if Livenation.com is a viable alternative to TicketBastard when it comes to scoring tix for a MSG gig like this?

Or just work both at the same time?

WOW do i suck

Had a less then a minute wait. I thought I would try for the other night also. Apparently that is not allowed. Now i will be shut out

Bummer

ETA: Was able to get two behind the stage for Thursday. Although I wanted Friday.

You got it TF. I'll gladly handle dante's dinner. Who's in then?Myself GFTUZIllaFuller (?)Fuller's buddy (?)TF (?)TF's Wife + Others? (?) SLBD (?)Regularguy (?)Just trying to figure out how many we'll me making reservations for. Don't wanna leave my Tipsy hangin. Hoping we've got enough folks for the room but if not we'll be good to go regardless. Can't wait. And agreed w/ benefits of large group (ie staking out territory). I know I'll have to wander for a bit with the GF to appease her shopping instincts, but I have no problem helping hold down the fort as well. Can't wait to see the stage lineups/assignments/timeslots. There are quite a few bands I'm eager to see that day and I'm HOPING at least 2-3 of them are stacked before PJ. We'll see.
So it looks like I'm going to pass on Dante's Friday so I can grab dinner and go out with my buddy's bachelor party. I'm off of work on that Friday, so I'm down for lunch + day drinking with whoever is in early. We've got a hard dinner reservation at 6pm though......I know it's early, but 15 people is tough during Jazz Fest. Still on board for staking out the spot early Saturday though, so no worries there.

I wouldnt add the CCF's to dinner schedule. But 85% chance of Jazz Fest on Saturday.Sonny gonna be there? And where are we meeting at Jazz Fest?

The wife and I are probably out for Friday night at Dante's as well.

How is everyone planning on getting from downtown to the festival on Saturday? Are there going to be shuttles of some sort?

I guess Vedder and McCready played 3 songs last night at one of Conan's comedy things, in Seattle.

Good deal on dinner. Sounds like the GF and I will just plan on flying solo for that and meeting up with you ####### later on.

Icon, I may just go to the STL show, give me some details. Do you have any extra tickets?

Basically, I got recruited to go show my niece and sister Colorado State (and, unfortunately, cu :D ). Because of that, I'm damn close to KC and an old CSU buddy's lake house. Besides crewing in some sailing regatta they got going, and the rest of the lake fun, there's a great group going to the show who I haven't seen in some time. That's just too easy, I have to. So, I'm now thinking I might as well hit STL the next night, I have a ride there if I want it.

TU, I actually priced out a NOLA run last night, just for kicks, then thought better...almost called you but didn't want to get talked into it, lol. I guess it all worked out in the end. Congrats on the promotion! :goodposting:

No spares sorry. Got the two 10club seats but dunno where they are till day of show (you know the drill). I'll be rollin in with my buddy Span . (That's his smokin ### wife) He knows some folks out there and last time he and i hung out without the GF/Wife we ended up spending about 300 bucks on jager. Should be interesting.Amusing Anecdote: Span's kids :)

Nice! For once not having gotten 10C tix for the MSG shows will be a benefit

This eases the NOLA blow a bit at least

Nice to see NYC area finally getting some shows

Not too happy about the restriction, but may be for the best (cash flow wise, that is). Have to see if I can scare up a connection for some freebies.

I am still looking for an extra to MSG I. If you have one I would swap a Newark ticket for your MSG I extra.

Right now, my MSGs are spoken for, but, if the past serves as any barometer, that doesn't mean ####. So, let me know how you make out.

Pasting a portion of the PM conversation Fuller and I had......figure some people will benefit from the info

Thanks for the info.Does someone stay at your setup while you wander, or are people cool about not messing with others' stuff?
I've never had an issue leaving stuff and wandering off...usually make friends with the people around us and everyone looks out for each other. Also, the wife typically has a backpack that we carry any valuables/phones in.One more thing i forgot....bring a few ziploc bags to put your phone in in case of rain......big pain in the ### if your pocket is soaked and phone gets wet
thanks for the ziploc tip. never would have thought of that. How much of a PITA do you think it will be to get anywhere near the stage for PJ?
So the way the main stage is set up is that there is a "VIP" section right in front of the stage that is actually pretty large....I don't think it's gonna be easy getting near the stage, however, I'm gonna check out the layout tomorrow to see if anything has changed since last year. I'll keep that PJ thread updated. Few things i also thought of - sunscreen & bring a garbage bag.. you can cut holes and use as a poncho or it can double as a waterproof blanket if the ground is wet

Week of the show boys.....went out there yesterday to scope out some spots. Here's a download of some random jazz fest tips/notes

• Beer cans are $5 now, and they also have guys walking around with icechests selling 16oz bottles for $7• No problem sneaking in a flask….for you vodka/rum drinkers, you’re allowed to bring in 1 bottle of water, so you will have no problem just sneaking it in like that if you want• There are plenty of port a potty’s and the lines are rarely long• What to bring - (1) Sunscreen (2) Chairs – most people use chairs and not blankets/tarps out there, so I suggest bringing a few and leaving them at your “home base” Everyone is very friendly, so no issue leaving them while you wander off (3) Soft cooler – they let you bring in a soft cooler full of ice….also, the beer guys will give you ice so you can buy a bunch of beers at once and just keep them in your cooler wherever you are (4) Ziploc bag for your phone in case it rains – very underrated, but a must have (5) If you opt to go the blanket/sheet route instead of the chairs, bring a few trash bags to put on the ground first so you’re not sitting in wet grass/mud
For anyone interested, do me a favor and PM me your email address (icon I already have yours), and I'll send y'all a map of the spot I'm trying to set up at with some more detail. CCF - I've got a few buddies helping me out with the set up, so no need to get out there early if you don't want to. Side note - PJ is probably the "heaviest" band that has every played the main stage at Jazz Fest, so I fully expect the crowd to be blown away. I was getting really pumped for the show when I was out there yesterday. Also, they're on the schedule for 2 hours, but last year I think Dave Matthews actually went over by 20 minutes or so....would expect the same out of PJ.
