***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (4 Viewers)

Should be some audio....and maybe some video....streaming tonight online somewhere since it's being broadcast on satellite radio. Any idea when PJ is taking the stage?

DeLuna Setlist:

PEARL JAM

MAIN SET:

1. OCEANS

2. CORDUROY

3. GOT SOME

4. ONCE

5. GIVEN TO FLY

6. AMONGST THE WAVES

7. GRIEVANCE

8. EVEN FLOW (Mike notes that he was born in Pensacola.)

9. WORLD WIDE SUICIDE

10. THE FIXER

11. DAUGHTER

TAG: IT'S OKAY

12. OF THE EARTH (Eddie introduced it as: "Here's one you may not know. Here's one we may not know.")

13. ELDERLY WOMAN...

14. PARACHUTES (EV dedicates this to his deceased friend, John. (Johnny Ramone???)

15. UNTHOUGHT KNOWN

16. DO THE EVOLUTION (nigelknox notes that the festival crowd don't know the choreography to it.)

17. PORCH (nigelknox states that Jeff is playing that new signature bass of his.)

ENCORE SET 1: (nigelknox states that the backdrop to the stage was changed during the encore break.)

18. BLACK

TAG: WE "DIDN'T" BELONG TOGETHER

19. COMATOSE

20. WHY GO (Mike with the behind the head solo)

21. RVM

ENCORE SET 2: (nigelknox states no new backdrop this time :P )

22. BETTERMAN

TAG: SAVE IT FOR LATER

23. LUKIN

24. ALIVE

Pretty damn solid festival setlist IMO

And the vids and pics seem like this was a gorgeous venue, right on the water

Eager to hear TF's concert report

####### amazing show. 7 songs off of ten, lukin, parachutes, of the earth. Kind if a greatest his set, but energy was amazing. The it's ok tag was the best since they played it in NC. Great porch chant, we didn't belong together on black, etc.

Definitely up there as one of my top shows

I dont even know where my turntable is. I know its in the basement somewhere. I will probably give it to my father to put in his jukebox like I did with the others

A tad more detail here...I guess it's been what 3 years since a new album has been released, so they've done tours to play all that stuff...so we move to festival shows. Personally, I like the approach they are taking with these, as playing a lot of older stuff and mostly "hits". Given that this is the first PJ show I've been to in a while that wasn't chalk full of die hards, it was actually pretty refreshing to see the impact PJ still has. I was standing next to this 22yo kid who was going to his first show. He was simply blown away. You can't compare this to PJ20, the Vic or the Spectrum shows....but it was different in it's own way. Took me back to being a 16yo kid at my first PJ show in a way. I went in with no expectations, and had a freaking blast. :headbang:

If you have some time, head over to the PJ board and read some posts about Eddie and Boom playing Black at the 2nd Vegas show. Pretty awesome stuff. That was the show I was supposed to be at...in April.

Long shot here, but if anyone has any extras or knows of anyone looking to get rid of tickets for Eddie's Dec 3rd show in Tampa let me know. Kinda looking for 2. I'm lucking out and will be down there for work....and finally seeing my first Ed show that night. Now I just need tickets.

They yanked it. Was it great?

Pearl Jam Sirius channel had technical issues with broadcasting tonight's solo Eddie show, so they are playing the Vegas show from 11/1, which was incredibly well received

This is the show where Black was played

So I am sure there will be a high quality boot from this

What is the deal with black?
He doesn't play it solo"
(Ed talks about a cause that he recently got involved with. It is help people with Epidermolysis Bullosa. He suggests searching the site HealEB (http://healeb.org/) and seeing if anyone can donate to their cause. Someone in the audience gives Ed $100. As Ed discusses the disease someone offers to donate $5000 if Ed will play “Black”. He tells the person to stick around because although he doesn’t know how to play the song he is going to try and figure out a way. A lot of people in the audience start shouting that they have money to donate as well. An emotional and visibly moved Eddie starts the next song and tells the person who offered the money to stick around because he will have something for them. He also says that his wife and the people at the charity will be happy and that he has never had an audience react like the audience tonight has. He also mentions Ross & Melissa who won an auction to be at the show)

27. Black w/ Boom Gasper (Boom plays Ed’s pump organ. The first attempt is pretty shaky and doesn’t get very far. Ed makes some adjustments and starts over much stronger. The crowd helps by singing along)

https://www.siriusxm.com/player/#view=nowPlaying&channelId=8370You need a sirius subscription or trial...Not playing the encore for some reason..not sure if it is just technical difficulties

I went to the show last night. People who live in this city and have kept up their 10C memberships are more faithful than I. I didn't even live here the last time PJ played (Eddie actually referenced not having been since 2003 and only having played once before that, in '92). We lived here for about 2-3 years, I think, before I decided it wasn't worth keeping up with it.

So we bought tickets online and ended up in the first row in the balcony. They actually turned out to be pretty great seats. The show was fantastic. While there was little to criticize, I'd say I enjoyed Open All Night the most, and I can't exactly call myself a Springsteen fan. The biggest criticism I think I heard from people was that Betterman was a bit choppy, which I can see, I guess. I think most people just dislike hearing versions of songs that differ from the studio version they're used to hearing.

We missed about half of Glen Hansard, which was actually a shame as we enjoyed what we did hear from him. Will probably check out some of his stuff now.

:goodposting: Love hearing what non-locals in the PJ thread have to say about a show...especially one, Bobby Sac. :excited:

On a side note---

I was listening to Jay Mohr on O&A show today. He is now doing a killer Eddie Veder impersonation. It had me laughing pretty good. He really nails it.

Here is a little bit. This is not the best stuff but you get the idea.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtZEAzX3w-k

Just got back from seeing Eddie in Houston. Solid show as always. Arc is by far the most powerful song I've ever heard live....just simply amazing

Just landed two tickets on Ruth Eckerd Hall website for the final show of the tour! There were two pairs available and one single. Looks like 20 rows back center. I only checked one or two other times the past couple weeks and nothing was available. Finally a little luck!

Will be catching Eddie (4th solo show...1st this tour) Wednesday night at the Orpheum. TF: comparison on the last solo tour?

Much better sets on this tour. And the shows seem to be progressively better as the tour goes on. The past 2 shows looked pretty solid

Looking over the sets I think you may be right... At 30+ tracks per night Ed definitely seems to be set on giving folks their moneys worth. Am nervous about the crowd at the Orpheum in Memphis though... Caught 2 shows at the RYman and you could hear a pin drop. Then one show at the Orpheum a night later and so many folks were chattering disrespectfully. Ed was visibly annoyed and it simply wasnt as good of a show. Downside of being at the intersection of Tenn / Ark / Miss.... Whole lotta hillbillies that just are too stupid to know any better... Really really hoping for single digit rows on floor.... Fingers crossed

I think Ed's done a better job handling the loud people on this tour...from the 2 shows I went to and the review I've read, I think he's "accepted" that it's going to happen, and deals with it with some good humor.

Good to hear. From what I saw it just seems that some of these folks just don't get out of their trailers very often. I guess they were still in "ZZ TOP" concert mode which meant getting as close to blind drunk as possible pre-show, then act as if Eddie has personally requested that you handle setlist duties. It somehow didn't register that these aren't "Woooooohoooooooo!" type shows. :lmao:

Currently 14th row off center on the aisle.... Jack and coke in hand.... Lady friend to my left... And lights just went down... Cheers fellas.

I keep forgetting to give a Vegas review and it has to wait for later (the clock just ticked 5) but night two of Vegas was maybe a top 5 concert for me. Ever. Easily top 10. And I'm talking any band.

How the shows are getting better I can't really imagine but hey, that's fuking great.

Oh, and Ed tossed me a tambourine in Missoula. I gave it to a vet behind me in a wheelchair. Then Ed went and got another tambourine to give to me. Pretty cool.

The Tulsa stuff I was reading earlier is pretty strange. The Deebag that was escorted out (guy that wanted to sing Cornell's HS part) seems to have started a thread there but what he posted is completely opposite from what others are saying in other threads.

 Would like to hear your take on the "Black" experience and whatever else you have to say.

Speed of sound.... #### up and reatart. Apparently Ed just confessed to getting drunk at. "Dog bar" aka bardog.... A BBQfest sponsor of my team.... Will have to hear that story from also

Pretty big deal nod from Ed.... Standard west mem 3 nod..... Turns out Jesse is here... First time Ed finally met him. Got pix.... Pretty cool
