Was told to wait until Monday.......I don't have tickets tonight

Maybe next time.
Not good when I live my life vicariously through some of you guys... ;)

Wrigley 2 seemed pretty great, my kind of setlist coupled with only a few throw aways.  Awesome start then blasted through the 1st set.  My feeds were solid til the 2nd encore, then everyone's I tried seemed to be choppy.  Wrigley 1 always seemed to start to do what I wanted it to do, then take a few steps back, over and over.  Would have loved to been there with a bunch of my buddies, but just a horrible weekend for it to fall on.  Maybe next time.  Share some experiences if you have a moment.

Will give a bigger update when I get back home, but was an overall great weekend. Can't really say how in ranks overall bc I'm still coming off of the post show high, but I think night 2 was better than night 1. That being said, you have to look at these like 1 show spread over two night IMO. Think there was only 5 or 6 repeats.

Also weird there was nothing from No Code at all over both nights.

A few highlights:

comfortably numb - they just kill this song

throw your arms around me - love this song

mind your manners - new appreciation for this one. Really gets the crowd going (at least in GA)

I just had one of the worst weeks of my life.  At some point, I decided that listening to music would be the thing that could get me through it.   Wishlist, Daughter/It's Ok and Given to Fly from three separate shows I saw were a huge part of getting me through.   I know not everyone gets it, but this band connects with me in a way that no other does.

It will get better!

Cheers GB... Been in some tight spots, myself, that only PJ seems to help through. Hope things turn around

I assume real, based on Eddie's previously, at least occasionally political lyrics.  However, what may have been the most straight forward political album, Riot Act, I am not looking forward to a repeat.
No, i couldnt tell if Tiger fan knew Bobcat was trying to be funny or not

Im assuming bobcat knew Tigerfan was talking about Trump

But Im not that smart so what do I know

Don't know a bunch of those songs, still would have liked to have seen one, but nothing in middle america.

Hunger Strike in the middle of the set?  Seems strange.

Twenty-five years ago I was a 13-year-old obsessed with Pearl Jam, and my mother told me that Pearl Jam wouldn't stand the test of time like the Rolling Stones and bands from her era. Now they're first-ballot Rock and Roll Hall of Famers. Take that, mom!

anyone going to the HOF show?  Think it would be cool from an experience perspective, but I assume HBO will broadcast it again...and would probably rather spend my money to see the exhibit at the actual HOF in cleveland at some point.

I would have definitely went if it was the Cleveland induction ceremony.  I think we missed it by one year.  Overall it's a boring show and I'd really only be interested in a few of the inductees.  To travel to NYC it doesn't seem worth the cost, I'd rather see their next run at MSG.  Usually the inductees don't perform, right?  Or is that all the old and battered people or fractured bands?

IIRC, each artist performs 2-3 songs and then all the inductees get together for a finale.  But totally agree with you about cost/benefit of it.

Just came here to post how awesome of a song sirens is. Maybe a top ten for me.
Interesting you posted this. It just entered my top 10 as well. I never checked out the lyrics when the song came out but did last week and they really spoke to me. Last year my girlfriend of three years and I moved in together. I never really worried much about the future until I saw one with her.

I pull you close, so much to lose

Knowing that nothing lasts forever

I didn't care before you were here

I danced in laughter with the everafter

Before we moved in, I had I guess a mini-panic attack with blood pressure spike and chest tightness. Went to urgent care and nothing was really wrong with me. Figured out it was psychosomatic from worrying myself about how I needed to take care of my health to be there for her, mainly to take care of this large kidney stone that I had let sit for three years. She lost her father just before we met, so I know it would crush her to lose me. After this, I did get the procedure done to get the stone out, and now my kidney function is back to normal. But it was a little mid-life crisis thinking about my own mortality for the first time.

It's a fragile thing

This life we lead

If I think too much I can get over-

Whelmed by the grace

By which we live our lives

With death over our shoulders

Wow. I remember really being underwhelmed when it came out. It grew on me a bit I guess, but top ten? Wow.
Yeah, it's just a really great song....lyrically and musically.  I was a tad buzzed and watching concerts on youtube when I posted it yesterday.  Whatever # it is for me...not sure exactly...but it's up there

Jumped to my top ten in a flash when the album was fresh, but it has dropped a little bit for me.  Still love it, favorite from the album, but not quite top ten for me anymore.

has there ever been any talk from the band on making a concept album?  was wondering if that is in the realm of possibilities since they love the who and all.

I've never seen it come up anywhere.  Have no doubt they could pull it off....but honestly with the way they've been recording new stuff more infrequently, it was probably something they would've done earlier in their career.

In other news, Celebration Rock with Steven Hyden is doing a 7 part series on PJ for their RnR HOF pocast.

20. Rearviewmirror
19. Lightning Bolt
18. Go
17. Alone
16. Future Days
15. Black
14. Unthought Known
13. I Got ####
12. WMA
11. Down
10. Footsteps
9. Indifference
8. Inside Job
7. Faithfull
6. Severed Hand
5. Present Tense
4. Porch
3. Not for You
2. Why Go
1. Immortality

This series really was excellent.  He had a different guest from the music industry talking about PJ and their albums...highly recommend

Got a last second invite to the Rock Hall for the induction ceremony.  They had some cool PJ items in the new inductee exibit.  Ed's "K" Kurt shirt and one of his green jackets (he put some pins on it), an absolutely destroyed guitar from the very early 90's (my buddy and I are like who in the world kept that thing back then), one of Ed's typewriters, a snare and skin, another guitar or two, and a few other things I can't remember.  Would have liked to see some penned work from Vedder after seeing all the Hendrix drawings and lyrics....and they had some real cool 2Pac notebooks.  Ceremony itself was pretty boring until PJ so it's a good thing there is alot to look at there.  Love the Ed shout out at the very end of RITFW..."Hello Cleveland".  Should have been here this weekend to celebrate!

awesome.

Also wanted to mention I thought Letterman was pretty good.  Was more of a comedic/roast induction, which I thought was refreshing for the most part, but he obviously has strong ties to the band so there was some serious stuff too.  I won't spoil anything since some of you are probably waiting for the official HBO airing.  I think a duo of Neil and Letterman inducting them would have been awesome.

Trying not to spoil anything else.  But I think they botched the goods on the 2Pac induction.  Snoop was great, but the musical part was all wrong.  Keys had no business up there and I don't even know who those rappers were, I guess T.I. was one and Treach was another.

If you tune in, make sure to catch the Nile Rodgers piece.  Solid.  Everything else, not so much.

Watched the entire PJ induction on youtube over the weekend.  While Letterman was pretty good, I would've loved to see Neil induct them.
