Well, since they haven't started selling the southern dates yet, I had to go ahead and re-up my 10C membership. It was running out this week. I'd drive almost any distance, but I'd rather go to one in Austin where I have a place to spend the night.

I am not happy with the way the 10 club is handling these dates. I'd like to know whether they are going to be playing in the south or not.

I don't think 10C is in control. You don't think they hear the cries from people in the south?I think they are going to go overseas after Leg 2. A southern leg will be later in the fall.

what little I've seen is predicting southern (3rd) leg in 2007.

Strictly speculation, but my understanding is that they lost substantial money in the South last tour. What that means as far a future dates, I don't know. Guess only time will tell (maybe an abbreviated jaunt through the big cities only).

You folks who are based there would know if you attended any of these shows.

I was at Houston and New Orleans and IIRC they both sold out

And West Palm was one of the better shows--great crowd. I'm disappointed they're skipping Phoenix, but it'll give me an excuse to go to Vegas or San Diego.

I would love to do Vegas, but something tells me the wife wouldn't take kindly to using my paternity leave for a concert road trip.

The fact that the largely western second leg excludes AZ is either troubling or a big break for me timing-wise.
My wife is due in a couple weeks--I figure the boy will be about 3 months old and ready to spend some QT with this mom.

I was at the West Palm show and it was packed. Likewise the Vote for Change tour show in Kissimmee, FL.

At 3 months I wouldn't think twice about it. I'll be headed back to Chicago for a FF draft when she's 2 months old. Vegas, however, is 1 week after my wife's due date. I go to that and mom and daughter might be looking at 18 years of QT.
