Last night was great, again. The acoustics were the best I've heard. Awesome venue. I was like 16th row center, which was great.

Very good Parachutes, again. :)

Satan's Bed, Why Go, Blood...back to back to back, to end the main set! Are you ####ting on my face?

All Along the Watchtower. :headbang:

Life Wasted is awesome live.

Harvest Moon was tight. Sleater Kinney joined in, but very lightly which was perfect.

David Cross did some speech in between that was so bad it was unbelievable. I really couldn't believe what was goiing down. He came on the stage, saying he was a contest winner and had a few words to say about Crohn's disease and such. He does this flamboyant, gay-man rambling and goes off on some ridiculous tangent about global warming and such.

Well, I thought it was real. :bag: I was wondering how they were gonna get him off the stage. Had no idea he was a comedian. :lmao:

Again, I don't have time to post more, hittin' the road, but will when I can. I have collected songs that friends think should go on these CD's as well. It's gonna be good.

P.S. Masters of War in Hollywood  (forgot to mention).

i have a big request

Hi Sonny.

If you don't mind me asking, where do you find the time to go to so many PJ shows across the country? Also, after you've gone to like, 5, wouldn't you get kind of tired of it?

TIA

Considering they play a different set list almost every night, I would never get tired of seeing them if I actually had the chance to travel like Sonny does.

But where is he finding the time and money?I am getting jealous. :bag:

DIRTY FRANK!!!!!

Last night was a great show. Ten clun ticketing sucked, as they had a line of hundreds of people and many missed the first part of the concert (me included). It was hot as hell down on the floor, but the energy of the show was great. Apparently a fan had helped with the setlist, so we saw Crown of Thorns, Footsteps, and of course Dirty Frank. The crowd erupted when the first couple notes of Dirty Frank started, and it was actually a pretty good version of the song (nice extended jam towards the end). The band went into a full on version of Little Wing after Yellow Ledbetter and it sounded awesome. During Last Kiss (I hate this song), Eddie was on top of the roof of the soundboard (look towards the left in this picture). Energetic crowd despite the heat, and it is the most beautiful backdrop I have ever seen at a concert. The sunset seemd to last for an hour, with a lovely orange glow behind the band, illuminating the Gorge below.

Looking forward to tonight.

Hey, I was wondering if there was any link to the uploaded comp set that is still up and running. Or anyone willing to burn and ship out or anything. Thanks

Funny you should mention it, I p-mailed Jzilla about it today. I haven't posted anything about the remaining shows, or what versions I think should be added, but I will. I have some friends that also went to quite a few shows, and they are going to give me their opinions as well. So, I should get that to Jzilla by next week and he said he'd go from there. Speaking of which, guys like KILGORE TROUT should chime in here on songs he preferred at the shows. I for one, CAN'T WAIT. Someone else will get back to you about the first comp set. I still haven't got mine, either.

I'll work on a revised comp, in collaboration with SLBD, and let you guys know. The link to the old one is dead and gone.

Great 2006 Tour. I was wondering what we as Louisiana Residents can do to help the environment post-Katrina? And when will PJ come visit? We need you!!Rock On!!!

Stone Gossard:

We haven’t sold a lot of tickets in the South lately, so it’s been difficult to organize a tour that gets us there.

I know that this does not say that they definitely won't play a southern US leg, but if they don't it would have been nice to let that be known up front so people could travel elsewhere to see tham if they wanted.

Houston/Atlanta/Dallas shows were all sold out on the Riot Act Tour

And they grew good crowds in FL on that tour and the Rock for Change tour. I saw them in NC in 2000 and Charlotte was sold out, but Greensboro had a lot of empty seats.

Here's a preliminary list of highlights/songs we've put together for Jzilla. COMMENTS ENCOURAGED -- my memory's foggy. Maybe we should post this on a PJ board for better input? Oh, and there are duplicates that need to be decided upon...have at it.

Denver I: Bushleaguer, Hail Hail, Severed Hand, Bee Girl, So You Wanna Be a Rock n' Roll Star-----Bee Girl, Corduroy

Denver II: Long Road, Not For You/Modern Girl, Come Back, Wasted Reprise-----Black

NOTES: Songs w/ TP (American Girl) if we can get them...gotta get 'em.

Vegas: Grievance, Faithful, Green Disease, Rats, Little Sister-----Little Sister, Gone

NOTES: Least favorite show, for me.

San Diego: Big Wave, Oceans, Love Boat Captain, Satan's Bed, Long Road, Crown of Thorns, You Are, Not For You/Modern Girl, Inside Job, RITFW-----LAST KISS, Brain of J, OCEANS

NOTES: Overall, could be the best show, in my mind. They were into it big-time. Vedder climbs the ladder (if we are going to put Last Kiss in there, that was it).

LA I: Release, Alive, Jeremy, Do the Evolution, Here's to the State-----Unemployable, Comatose

LA II: Brain of J, Down, Sad, Better Man/Save it for Later, Sad, SOLAT, Off He Goes, I Got ####-----Big Wave, Go, BETTERMAN, Alive

NOTES: 2nd night was definitely better. Porch from one of these (it was the preset night I).

Fonda Theatre: Parachutes, I Believe in Miracles, Given to Fly, Masters of War, Indifference ***this show is not available, correct?***

SB: Waiting on a Friend, Come Back, Low Light, Hard to Imagine, Crazy Mary-----Interstellar Overdrive

SF I: Of The Girl, Save You, Go, Severed Hand, Unemployable, God's Dice, Gone, Parachutes, Life Wasted-----OF THE GIRL, PARACHUTES, GOD'S DICE, Footsteps, Not For You

SF II: Dead Man (preset), Sometimes, In My Tree, Whipping, Lukin, Garden, Army Reserve, Insignificance, The American Girl in Me (w/ The Avengers)-----INSIGNIFICANCE, Blood, Leash, Marker in the Sand

SF III: I Am Mine (preset), Release, Light Years, In Hiding, Man of the Hour, All Along the Watchtower-----LIGHT YEARS, RELEASE, Life Wasted, Sad, Untitled, mfc, Present Tense

Portland: Satan's Bed, Why Go, Blood (BACK TO BACK TO BACK), You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, Low Light, Soon Forget, Don't Gimme No Lip, Harvest Moon-----HARVEST MOON, WHY GO

NOTES: I thought the sound here was great, so if a song is duplicated, we should probably go with this show.

Gorge I: Elderly Woman, I Am Mine, Blood, RTFW, Once, Dirty Frank, Baba O' Riley, Daughter/It's Okay, Yellow Ledbetter/Little Wing-----DIRTY FRANK

NOTES: Night 1 was definitely better.

Gorge II: I Won't Back Down, Marker in the Sand, Whippin, Big Wave, Little Wing, Comatose, ####in Up-----LITTLE WING, Satan's Bed

***I have edited some and realize there are some repeats, which we don't want. If anybody has input on preferred versions, speak up. I/we will trim the list down to size eventually.***

2nd Edit: I went to Bobcat's link here and added that dude's "best of the west" onto ours. After each show, I added his selections onto mine (separated by five dashes-----). Anyway, if the song is in all caps, it means we both recommended it, so those are all slame dunks (there aren't many). If you see a repeated song, please let me know, and we will pick one.

bump.....and ummmmm......holy ####!

Torino, Italy 9/19/06

Pearl Jam Set List: Go, Corduroy, Animal, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Life Wasted, World Wide Suicide, Comatose, Severed Hand, Marker In The Sand, Parachutes, Unemployable, Big Wave, Gone, Wasted Reprise, Army Reserve, Come Back, Inside Job, Do The Evolution, Rearviewmirror

1st Encore: Jeremy, Lukin, Better Man, Black, Tremor Christ, Alive

2nd Encore: Blood, Even Flow, Baba O' Riley, Indifference

Are they selling these? This is a must buy. Seemed like Europe was getting a sort of greatest hits tour, unlike Legs 1/2 here where we heard alot of the new disc. But WOW! Just when you think.....ah never mind.

Impressive stuff!!

For those of you looking for unique merchandise that will also help a cause near and dear to the band, check out Wishlist Foundation.

All the stuff was made by fans (sure you may have seen some of the stuff at the shows) and all proceeds are donated to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America. They are also planning to start working with other charities as well.

So, what are you waiting for, check it out...

You know, I haven't listened to the new album now in a couple of months. Probably about the same time it became obvious they weren't coming to the South anytime soon. Still a great album though.

They're selling the leg 1 posters at 10C. Those people over there are going ape #### over trying to buy them.
Never owned one. I don't get the hype really. Do they just keep them rolled up in a closet?
My wife bought me this one for me as part of our 1st anniversary (paper). She knows how much I like boobies too. It's in a cheap frame and was hanging in our old house but not yet since we moved. But yeah, I don't see the point in collecting them.

Cool gift idea. I got the Buckeyes nat'l championship SI cover framed and signed by most of the seniors from the team.

I have one from every show I've been to (they didn't make a poster for New Orleans 2000). Eventually I will get them all framed and put somewhere. A real nice collectors item for $20 and cheaper than a tshirt that I would never wear.

Now that makes alot of sense. Wish I would have done that, but now it's too late to start. It just seems like some people try to get tons and tons of them, even to shows they didn't attend.

I guess this is a good time for a final edit of that list of songs. I was even thinking about posting it at the 10C for them to peruse. I don't know.

Take a look at the list and tell me what you think.

I was wondering what Zilla thought of recording the songs in chronological order (of the tour), but maybe not.

And is it gonna be possible to get the Tom Petty songs on there?

Thoughts?

I've purchased the occasional poster, only to typically find it smashed somewhere. The few that aren't, are still rolled up, and I guess that's not good either -- to keep them like that for too long.

:bag:

Did you trim down the list to get rid of duplicates? I have not heard anything besides Cincy and Pitt from Leg 2, so I will be of little help.

But, here are a few links to compilations that this michael dude whips up.....

US Leg 2

Not Leg 2, but good stuff

And then this one....

Has some good info on specific songs

I'll post some others if I come across them.

Hopin' to talk Jzilla into doin' another compilation set..."best of the west!" So, I p-mailed him last night and I guess we'll see...

Bobcat, I went to that guy's compilation list and added all his selections onto my list in THIS post. There is a note on the recent edit (at the bottom) that you all can read. Help out with duplicates, if you would...

Should I cull the list? Do some of us need to chip in to by the boots? How did this work on the first go-round, exactly?

I just know that I've been listening to that first set and it made me realize another would be ####### great, is all.

Thanks again (and more ###-kissin' to J-zilla).

gotta give MAJOR props to J-Zilla i have listened to the 6 disc compilation for months straight, so many great songs.. i tried to make a "best of the best" but failed horribly.. too many good songs to fit on to one cd.

if there is a "west" comp i am IN!
