There isn't too much content on here for 14-team leagues and when someone recently posted a pretty monstrous 14-team roster a bunch of people didn't like it, making me think no one plays in 14-team leagues. But I thought I would start a thread to see if we could get interesting discussion on drafting late in a 14-teamer.
At the 11 spot, we're looking at something like:
1. Moss/Fitz, DeAngelo/Mendenhall, P Manning
2. Austin/White, Greene/Matthews/Grant, Brady/Romo
3. Boldin/Smith(Car)/Rice, Wells/McCoy/P Thomas, Rivers, Gates
4. Smith (NYG)/Ocho/Crabtree, Addai/R Brown, V Davis/Witten
I'm thinking it is best to take Moss or DeAngelo in the first, Austin/White or Greene/Matthews in the second, and hope that Rivers or better falls to you in the third. Even though in the past I've liked to wait on a QB at the end of a 14-team league I just think it is too likely that you end up with someone like Stafford as your QB1 and that's not too good. I guess if you start Moss, White, Wells, V Davis maybe you can put together a committee QB and hit on a RB2 by taking a bunch of RBs in the mid-rounds, though...if you can that would be pretty nasty.
Thoughts?
