Official Pierre Thomas Thread (1 Viewer)

its a little crowded back there, but who knows how healthy(and effective) Deuce and R.Bush will be next year. Thomas did put up huge numbers when he finally got a chance, and did look very good with limited touches before week 17. With Stecker possibly leaving, I think hes a nice player to hold on to in dynasty leagues

Definitely a hold. Stecker is likely gone, and it really wouldn't totally surprise me to see McAllister cut as well. The Saints booted Horn, so the "value to the community" thing seems to have little play with the front office, and Deuce is set up with 2 injuries and a monster contract number. I'm not saying it will happen, but it isn't that far out of the ballpark.

I think this will play out more like Mike Bell in Denver and he will never be heard from again. The Front office will have time to regroup in the offseason and while I think he will stick with the team (contract has to be great for the GM), if they do in fact jettison McAllister and/or Stecker, do not be surprised to see th Saints make a late first day or early second day pick for a burly RB to split (albiet smaller share) time with Bush.

Definitely a possibility. Even a very likely one, especially if McAllister isn't brought back. Thomas won't be simply handed the keys to the kingdom, but I imagine he'll be given a shot, even if its a small one. Percentages of him winning it out aren't superb, but he's worth a hold on a deep roster. The guy has been getting all sorts of love ( and causing all sorts of hate for the coaching staff ) on Saints boards since McAllister went down, though I can't comment myself since I haven't seen much of him other than last week. The offseason will tell a lot here...
