Free agent T Tony Pashos is set to meet with the Jaguars on Friday.

It's difficult to see where he'd fit in with Jacksonville unless the team is willing to kick current right tackle Maurice Williams inside to guard.

Free agent Justin Griffith has scheduled a visit with the Buccaneers.

He wouldn't make much sense in Tampa after the Bucs re-signed Mike Alstott on Thursday. Philadelphia and New England would see better fits.

Free agent Dominic Rhodes has a meeting set up with the Giants.

It'll be interesting to see how much Rhodes' DUI affects his free agent stock. On paper, he'd form a great duo with Brandon Jacobs in New York.

The Vikings were scheduling an interview with free agent Kevin Curtis Thursday night, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Minnesota hopes Curtis will be in town Friday. The team is reportedly scheduling free agent visits around the Notre Dame Pro Day (March 4). According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Vikes are willing to promise that Curtis will be the featured receiver in their West Coast offense.

The Seahawks have already lined up visits for free agents Kris Dielman, a guard, and Patrick Kerney, a defensive end.

Dielman will be in Seattle Friday and Kerney is scheduled to be in town by Saturday. Denver is also expected to be in the market for Kerney, and Miami may join the mix for Dielman, according to the Miami Herald.

Free agent Daniel Graham is expected to visit the Broncos on Friday, and the Raiders and Vikings if he's not signed before it gets to that point.

Graham will generate a boatload of interest; some reports indicate he may command as much as $12 million to sign and $5 million-per-year. Denver has a need for a blocking tight end to pair with Tony Scheffler.

49ers | Clements talking to team

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports free agent CB Nate Clements (Bills) is talking with the San Francisco 49ers.

Thomas to visit Friday; Clements contacted

According to ESPN, once midnight hit on the east coast, the 49ers were one of the more aggressive teams at setting up Friday visits for free agents. They have confirmed that the 49ers are expecting a visit from linebacker Adalius Thomas, which was expected.

The 49ers, along with the Browns and Titans, have also been in communication with cornerback Nate Clements.

No team has more cap space available than San Francisco.

This is just FWIW from the combine, but FSU RB Lorenzo Booker said that though he interviewed with everyone, three teams paid extra attention to him: DEN, HOU and NE, with whom he's targeting a 3/7 personal workout.

Cards line up free agents visits

Source: Darren Urban, [Arizona] Tribune

The Cardinals, not surprisingly, are looking at cornerbacks at the start of free agency.

Former Eagles cornerback Roderick Hood will have a visit Sunday with the team, a source said Friday. The website profootballtalk.com is also reporting that former Rams cornerback Travis Fisher will visit Tempe as well on Sunday.

A Dallas source said the Cowboys are deep into negotiations with Cardinals free-agent lineman Leonard Davis, meaning Davis' tenure in Arizona may be nearing its end. Davis could play either guard or tackle for the Cowboys, depending on how the rest of free agency plays out. Davis has long wanted to play in Dallas, which is close to his hometown of Wortham, Texas.

London Fletcher-Baker is in Washington and has already had his physical.

Leonard Davis may be in Washington at the Wizards' game tonight.

Dockery was supposedly in Atlanta and is in Buffalo. (the Atlanta thing may not be true; see post just above this one)

Travis Fisher will be in Washington Saturday.

Fred Smoot is expected to be in Washington for the Wizards' game tonight.

All this per Jason LaCanfora.

Free agent Brad Johnson is scheduled to visit the Broncos on Saturday.

Dallas could reportedly also be a destination for Johnson and if Jake Plummer is serious about retiring, he'd seem a decent fit in Tampa.

Bills sign O-linemen Dockery and L. Walker

The Bills look to finally have a permanent answer for their left guard position as they signed Washington free agent guard Derrick Dockery to a multi-year deal on the first full day of free agency Friday.

"This is a beautiful thing," said Dockery. "I've had a great time on my visit here in Buffalo. It's a top notch organization, owner, coach, the players, the fans, the city? they love their Bills and I'm really excited to be a part of it."

The Bills made no secret about their intentions to improve their offensive line and took a big first step with the addition of the mammoth left guard.

The former Washington Redskin was at the top of the Bills' free agent wish list, and booked a flight to Buffalo Friday morning after initial contract negotiations were headed in the right direction. Dockery signed on the dotted line upon completing his visit at One Bills Drive.

Teamed with emerging Pro Bowl talent Jason Peters at tackle, the left side of Buffalo's offensive front could prove to be one of the most physically imposing in the league.

"That was the thinking behind our pursuit of Dockery," said offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild. "We wanted as good a left side as we could possibly get both for the run and the pass. He was very, very impressive to our entire offensive staff as we evaluated the offensive linemen available."

"That left side has certainly been upgraded with Dockery over there," said McNally. "He and Peters are two guys we'd like to have first off the bus for us."

"He's a great player," said Dockery of Peters. "He's a young guy that's coming up. I've heard nothing but great things about him. I'm excited about this opportunity to play with Jason and grow together. We're going to work hard to get this organization back where it needs to be."

Dockery figures to help Buffalo's moribund running game which has ranked 20th and 27th in the league the past two seasons.

"He will help us in our zone schemes and the run game," said Fairchild. "He was just what we were looking for. He has good size, he's a powerful guy that showed he's athletic enough to be a solid pass protector. He's a superb player. He's something."

The 6'6" 335 pound lineman has been Washington's starting left guard since the time the Redskins made him a third round draft pick in 2003. With the giant defensive tackles that are becoming more and more common in the league, a big interior lineman was viewed as a necessity by Buffalo.

"With the size of the defensive tackles in the league it's tough to play inside and get a good push unless you're a good-sized player with a wingspan as well," said Fairchild. "He's certainly got the body type and proven he can do it. Year in and year out he's been a good player for Washington."

"He's tough to bull rush," said offensive line coach Jim McNally. "For a big guy he can bend his knees and he has a good anchor."

Over the last two seasons one thing Washington has been able to do is run the football ranking 7th in rushing in 2005 and 4th in 2006.

"He was a big part of what they were doing in Washington because of his run blocking and with his pass protection too," said Fairchild. "He's just a tremendous talent."

Dockery has also proven durable in his four-year career as he has made 61 consecutive starts.

"With Dockery you're talking about one of the better free agents at any position out there and we're very fortunate to land him," said Fairchild.

Willis McGahee-RB- Bills Mar. 2 - 6:55 pm et

The Broncos are seriously pursuing Willis McGahee, according to the Denver Post.

Keeper league owners cross your fingers. The Broncos will also host Ahman Green this weekend. He was earlier reported to be in Denver. The Broncos are also reportedly "determined" not to let Patrick Kerney leave town without signing.
