Love this time of year when we can all get excited about our sleepers only to watch them fade into oblivion in a few short weeks. Nevertheless, who's impressing so far and has a chance to gain value. Anything from mid-round picks to hibernators.

I'll start with:

QB: TJax, Matt Ryan

RB: DeAngelo Williams, Ricky Williams, Chris Johnson

WR: Adrian Arrington

TE: Martin Rucker

GREAT idea for a thread. :goodposting:

It's hard to know what will happen with players who light up preseason. Some will fade into oblivion. As a matter of fact, many will. But someone may turn into the next Ryan Grant.

One thing I notice is that players who were "names" in college usually get more hype than they deserve and unknowns get far less. Grant was like this last year. He didn't have name recognition, so he wasn't hyped as much as other players.

Some of these are being hyped because of preseason games or camp; others because of the offseason.

QB: Hanie, Henne, T Jax, Moore, Ryan.

RB: DeAngelo Williams, Hart, Hester, Felix Jones, Choice, Hightower, Jordan, M Morris, M Bush, C Johnson, P Thomas, Rice, all Denver RBs.

WR: C Jackson, Hagan, T Wilson, Clowney, M Jones, Jarrett, D Jackson, D Hester, Meachem, Arrington, Morgan.

TE: Tamme, Fasano, Boss, Rucker.

Jonathan Stewart is getting a lot of hype..he's still dealing with the offseason toe injury, and that could linger thru the first few weeks of the season..

Brett Favre gets a lot of hype..woouldn't surprise me to see him struggle in NY

Brandon Jackson

Warrick Dunn,Michael Bennett, Caddy Williams

Mark Clayton, Michael Clayton

Kevin Boss

Meachem

Sidney Rice, Bernard Berrian

Marshawn Lynch

Anthony Gonzalez

Nate Burleson

most of these guys will make it on the 2008 fantasy football 'heartbreaker' list...
